The most abundant such nucleus in the body is the hydrogen proton. Magnetic Resonance is a technique that takes images of the heart in motion throughout the cardiac cycle and displays the heart’s motion in a cine loop. Methodology: A systematic review was carried out through various databases from January 2013 to September 2022; The search and selection of articles was carried out in indexed journals in English. Key words were used: Magnetic Resonance, Cardiomyopathies, Indications, Prognosis. Results: One of the main research tools that present greater clinical application in a safe and complete way is magnetic resonance imaging. It has important applications in acute myocardial infarction, dilated cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic and arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy, among other heart diseases. Conclusions: This review offers up-to-date and detailed information on the main indications and contraindications of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance as well as its important applications in heart failure, one of the most frequent cardiovascular pathologies and among other cardiomyopathies.","PeriodicalId":207626,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130671657","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The components of pharmacokinetics are absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion. All patients suffering from life-threatening illnesses must receive care in an intensive care unit. In this unit, it is not only necessary to have equipment that can provide comprehensive care to the patient, but also to have staff trained to act in any clinical environment. Methodology: A systematic review was carried out through various databases from January 2014 to February 2022; The search and selection of articles was carried out in indexed journals in English. Results: The understanding of the pharmacokinetics in the critical patient is of vital importance, being the pillar of this understanding the patient and providing adequate care and management. The cornerstones of intensive care management are the optimization of the patient’s physiology, the provision of advanced organ support, and the identification and treatment of underlying disease processes. In antibiotic therapy it is necessary to optimize the dosage and improve the route of administration. Table 1 reports the main pharmacokinetic changes. Conclusion: This review offers up-to-date and detailed information on the pharmacokinetics in critically ill patients with the aim of providing “personalized” care depending on the patient’s physiological state.","PeriodicalId":207626,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121579802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to the World Health Organization, the emergence of viral diseases represents a serious risk to public health. One of the mechanisms of action of this virus is through the ACE2 receptor. Different neurological findings caused by COVID-19 have been described, among which we find anosmia, ageusia, headache, stroke, altered consciousness, among others, as well as psychiatric symptoms. Methodology: A systematic review was carried out through various databases; The search and selection of articles was carried out in indexed journals in English. Results: The exact route by which SARS-CoV-2 can enter the CNS is still unknown, although hypotheses have been raised, among which we find the transsynaptic pathway, through the olfactory bulb, Regulation of ACE2-R and SIRS. Among the main psychiatric symptoms found in the COVID-19 pandemic are symptoms of depression, anxiety symptoms, post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms, and psychological distress. There is a relationship between the disturbance of the immune system and neuroinflammation in the emergence of psychiatric diseases and high systemic inflammation in mood disorders, anxiety and psychotic disorders. Conclusion: This review offers up-to-date and detailed information on the mechanisms of neurovirulence, the main neurological complications, and neuropsychiatric mechanisms after SARS-COV-2 infection.","PeriodicalId":207626,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123057995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is indicated for gram-positive infections and approved for the treatment of other conditions. Myelosuppression is a condition in which bone marrow activity decreases, resulting in fewer red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Pancytopenia is not a disease but a manifestation of other underlying conditions. Methodology: A systematic review was carried out through various databases, such as PubMed, Scielo and ScienceDirect; The search and selection of articles was carried out in indexed journals in English. Results: Linezolid is used as an effective antibiotic against bacteria belonging to the gram-positive group. At high doses up to 1,000 mg/kg/day, reversible myelosuppression occurred. This antibiotic also presents other adverse reactions to take into account such as serotonin syndrome, hypoglycemia, among others. Conclusion: This review offers up-to-date and detailed information on the adverse effects and hematological effects of Linezolid in order to identify its correct use as well as its prognosis.","PeriodicalId":207626,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133738475","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
