They play a significant role in US war-on-terrorism. Since 2004, US has attacked many targets in Pakistan using UAVs. Pakistan condemns these attacks and denies the allegation of their hidden approval. In this context, we propose a neural network based model to minimize the adverse effects of these illegal attacks by predicting their frequency along with the number of militant killed, civilian causalities and number of injuries. The predictive model is trained using Pakistan UAV strikes data and results show that the proposed model predicts these variables with good accuracy and small RMSE (Root Mean Square Error).","PeriodicalId":207523,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122888530","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This merger has captured the interest of researchers from around the globe. In the last decade, wireless networks have become much stronger, reliable and secure but as the technology evolves, it carries their own problems. Researchers are targeting different problem according to their own interest like power consumption, network security, link failure etc., so we are also working on link failure detection that can be caused by power breakage, network delay or traffic overload. This model detects the link failure in the network through Link Failure Detection Algorithm (LFDA) and provide recovery mechanism against failure using cluster-based approach. Our purposed model detects network link failure accuratly and precisely solve the problem by creating alternative virtual route for data packets. Our technique can detect current failures also it can detect weaker links, those might be the cause for future failures. Most of the literature have their proof of correctness as simulation but no technique is there which is formally verified, therefore we have presented our idea including its formal verification and validation with the help of formal methods tool box and its formal specification language like (VDM-SL).","PeriodicalId":207523,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115333790","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Consequently, model-driven code generation has been a topic of interest in varying perspectives. While model-driven code generation has been explored well in many domains, its full potential has not been exploited in the context of aspect-oriented software development. The existing approaches have mainly focused on code generation from class diagrams only. Code generation from class diagrams is straightforward as majority of the constructs involved in these diagrams are directly mapped to those in programming languages. However, code generated using class diagrams is limited to skeletons of classes and methods only and does not contain behavior. In this study, we use the state diagrams and propose a mapping of its constructs to AspectJ language. We use the Reusable Aspect Models notation for this purpose. The approach addresses the mapping of both structure and behavior, however, owing to their strength with respect to modeling the system behavior, it essentially focuses on the state diagrams encapsulated in these models. A detailed mapping of different features of the state diagrams is proposed. The approach is illustrated by means of aspect models and corresponding mapped code from an aspect-oriented implementation of a Remote Service Caller example. The implementation shows that the approach can effectively be applied to obtain code for complete structure and behavior modeled using Reusable Aspect Models.","PeriodicalId":207523,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117072158","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents the design of electromechanical and microcontroller (Arduino) based relay as an educational lab trainer to compare the behavior of both relays in over current protection of radial feeder. The proposed trainer introduces the use of both electromechanical and microcontroller based relays in a single panel in such a way that the system could be switched to either electromechanical or microcontroller based relay setup. It is designed for protection of two sections so that the concept of primary and secondary protection is observed. Microcontroller based relay setup is coded with IDMT characteristics and requires the values of PSM and TMS for the calculation of operational time of relay to clear the fault. This trainer also displays the magnitude of fault current as well as operational time of relay required to clear the fault. The fault is incorporated to the system by the insertion of low resistance path which leads to additional flow of current. Simulations are carried on Proteus and the hardware result shows that microcontroller based relays are fast in operation having less time of operation, more efficient and have very low cost as compared to conventional electromechanical relays. This trainer's idea could be implemented in engineering universities as a compulsory component for electrical power students.","PeriodicalId":207523,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126805753","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
