Abstract
This paper discusses the prototyping and development of a low cost and portable automated cardiopulmonary resuscitation machine. This machine provides automated resuscitation to person whose heart is not pumping blood completely or improperly. The proposed prototype is operated by a 12 volts DC rechargeable battery. An LCD is also attached to display the status of machine and the status of the battery. The estimated cost of the device is under $300, which is a viable cost for both developing and under-developing cost. The main motive behind the design of this device to eradicate the manual tiring procedure of resuscitation currently being provided in emergency situations.
