Therefore, microcontroller subject is considered as one of the vital subjects in scheme of studies offered to students of Electrical and Computer Engineering in universities and other colleges of science, engineering and technology. To enhance the expertise in embedded systems implementation, this paper presents designing of a software based 16-bit PIC24F series microcontroller educational trainer by using MPLAB and Proteus Professional software packages. This is to help students to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-time problems at any time. The trainer includes number of experiments i-e interfacing of LEDs, seven segment display, LCD, Keypad, DC motor, UART and EPROM. The beneficial outcomes are directly proportional to the quality of education being received by the students. Pakistan is a developing country and is facing numerous challenges. Limited resources under bad governance and non-consistent policies are more damaging than other issues. Gender discrimination along with social and economic segmentation in the society are also damaging the present weak education system. The cure against these curses, demand full utilization of the available resources and potentials under a systematic advance control and monitoring system for education. Efficient data collection systems are required to cater big fraud like ghost schools in the southern Punjab and interior Sindh. Once authentic data collection is made possible, inferring meaningful knowledge for policies development is achievable with the help of proven developed techniques in the field of Educational Data Mining (EDM). Classification and association, clustering and regression along with decision tree are the most suited techniques to serve the purpose. Multilevel inverter (MLI) synthesizes several DC sources. Multilevel inverter (MLI) are the most suitable technology for conversion in renewable sources. This paper presents a new Multilevel inverter topology and a comparative study of Multilevel inverter (MLI) topologies in terms of number of switches, hormonic content and efficiency. These topologies are cost effective as compare to conventional Multilevel inverters (MLI). Despite of many advantages, multilevel inverter (MLI) with reduced switches basis some advantages like the voltage stress on the individual switches increases. For that, it is recommended to use switches of high rated values. The power transfer capabilities are becoming limited day by day. It has become important to develop the strategies to cope with such problems and utilize transmission systems at their maximum thermal capacity. This thesis presents SIMULINK model of Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) device to analyze the operation of single and double line transmission systems of 132/220kV. UPFC model is a very important member of family of Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices. It is a microcontroller based solid state converter capable of controlling active and reactive power in transmission line and controls power flow and real power loss. This work will reveal the effects of installing UPFC model for single and double transmission line in MATLAB/Simulink to observe voltage regulation, power loss minimization and improvement in power transfer capability. The rating scale will be primarily based on the ISO standards of Usability (ISO: 9241–11) based on Effectiveness, Efficiency and Satisfaction and another ISO Standard (9126–1) composed of Functionality, Reliability, Usability, Efficiency, Maintainability and Portability. At the present time, there is no quality assessment tool for mobile application rating based on usability beyond Star_Ratings. This scale will initially be used for analysis of different m_health applications and will be helpful for researchers. Our methodology is based on four steps. In first step, we selected 9 most famous m_Health applications which have maximum number of downloads which were evaluated by involving 45 end users. In 2nd step the existing work on rating scale is explored which is found very limited. In 3rd step, we defined taxonomy of usability parameters, distributed them in major and minor classes and the questionnaire for rating m_health applications was also designed. In 4th step, for evaluation of new Rating scale, another group of 45 users were selected. After evaluation of 9 m_health applications, it is finally found that newly developed rating scale is compatible with user effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction. The 5 star rating scale cannot point out which features of applications require enhancement or need improvements. The newly developed scale rightly highlights the weakness of an application in five different categories. Inputs of the topology are Renewable Energy Sources (RES) such as solar and wind, which are stochastic in nature. A battery port is present to support the circuit in the absence of RES. A feedback power flow path is provided to charge the battery from output capacitor as well as to support the load in the absence of RES. DC output voltage level of RES are low, this voltage needs to boost for different applications. The proposed topology has non-inverting boost output voltage levels. A coupling capacitor is used to couple energy from input to the load. Two operating modes are defined in different time intervals depending upon inductors charging and discharging. The main purpose is to stabilize the aircraft in case of any external disturbance. An appropriate mathematical model for the longitudinal motion of aircraft is considered. Simulations are performed in MATLAB Simulink for the proposed controllers and results are critically and analytically discussed. Furthermore, analysis based on different performance measures i.e. Integral Squared Error (ISE), Integral Absolute Error (IAE), rise time, settling time, and under shoot are performed to compare the response of the controllers. Renewable energy sources are inherently distributed in nature and the most important source to meet the future energy demands. Most generators in distributed generation are asynchronous and are affected by the problem of reactive power. They cannot produce reactive power but actually draws it from the power system. It can cause voltage drop which is not acceptable for the customers due to narrow operating range of voltages for appliances. This problem can be overcome by using reactive power management techniques. Power factor control is most commonly used technique for reactive power compensation. Many such devices used for reactive power management are explained in this paper.
