Although researchers have thus far widely examined the antecedents and the outcomes of CPA, top management teams (TMT) are less attention by CPA scholarship, not to mention the behavioral side of managerial perception is also relevant to their tendency to invest accessible resources on innovation. This paper aims to explore the innovation effect of CPA-active firms in their legitimacy-building process as a strategic response to institutional expectation. We attempt to make inquiries into why do CPA-active firms which are embedded agents, choose to innovate themselves and develop propositions upon if managerial perception affects the ways they bear the risk of innovation. Building upon the institutional theory and prospect theory, this paper suggests that firms with higher levels of CPA generate better innovation performance through their unique acquire rare and valuable resources, and are more aware, open and motivated to satisfy the institutional expectations. Further, we also propose that top management team factors will moderate the relationship between CPA and innovation. In the face of a sure-loss context, the top management team increases the propensity of risk-taking, which enhances the innovation effect of CPA intensity. Meanwhile, when the top management team is faced with a sure-gain context, it reduces the managerial propensity for risk-taking, which negatively moderates the innovation effect of CPA intensity. The study contributes to the corporate political activities literature and strategy research by bridging non-market strategy and market-favored outcomes and integrating institutional perspective and the behavioral logic for a more complete view of firm innovativeness than either theory alone.","PeriodicalId":206239,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management and Humanity Research","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126738320","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose is to investigate the impact of contract complexity on supply chain coordination under complete information. The supplier drafts contracts, which include wholesale price contracts and simple quantity discount contracts. These contracts are of different complexity. The retailer chooses one of the supplier-designed contracts to optimize its profit. This study shows that a complex contract with an infinite number of price breaks can achieve the coordination of a general supply chain. It can also arbitrarily distribute supply chain profit under mild conditions. Theoretically, this is the optimal contract. However, it is difficult to implement in practice. Complex contracts with limited price breaks can improve the performance of the decentralized supply chain system compared to simple contracts (i.e. wholesale price contracts), but neither can coordinate the general supply chain. In addition, as the complexity of the contract increases, the performance of the decentralized supply chains continues to decline. This means that the increased in contract complexity does not necessarily increase the efficiency of supply chain contracts. Our study suggest that a three-price contract (all-unit quantity discount contract with two price breaks), although theoretically suboptimal, is sufficient for a general supply chain and should be preferred in practice.","PeriodicalId":206239,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management and Humanity Research","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128930192","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to verify the importance of crowdsourcing innovation to enterprises, this paper takes the Xiaomi’s online community as an example, crawls the data of submitted proposal proposed by users about two mobile phones named Xiaomi 9 and Xiaomi 10 in the community. And the word frequency and keyword analysis of the proposal data was executed. The analysis results show that the improvement proposal contents of Xiaomi 9 that concentrated on the system, processor and screen are closely related with the improvements of Xiaomi 10. Similarly, the improvement proposal contents for Xiaomi 10 that concentrated on the system and the processor are also fully reflected in the actual improvements of Xiaomi 11. The research results demonstrate that the crowdsourcing innovation in the Xiaomi community plays a significant role to guide the product innovation for Xiaomi phones, and provides direct supports to the company's product innovation.","PeriodicalId":206239,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management and Humanity Research","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123959243","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Faced with complex personality traits, can charity crowdfunding platforms attract a wide range of people to make donations? By integrating personality theory with cognitivist learning theory (SOR), and with the help of 449 questionnaire data, this paper examines the psychological mechanisms of altruistic and egoistic personality traits participating in crowdfunding donations and reveals the mediating role of media cognition and donation cognition. The study found that individuals with both altruistic and egoistic personality characteristics have the intention to donate in the context of crowdfunding platforms, and the formation of the intention to donate depends on the individual's cognition of crowdfunding donations, including the cognition of crowdfunding (media trust perception) and perception of donation (donation motivation), specifically, in the relationship between personality characteristics and donation intention, the three media trusts (donation platform trust perception, project initiator trust perception, and project text content trust perception) and three kinds of donation motivations (sympathy, guilt, and satisfaction) play an important mediating role, and the mediating mechanisms of altruistic and egoistic personality are slightly different.
