Adapun masalah yang dikaji: 1) Bagaimana persyaratan, harapan, dan keinginan dalam adaptasi interaksi antara guru tuli dan murid mendengar, pada kegiatan belajar mengajar bisindo di Pusbisindo? 2) Bagaimana pola interaksi antara guru tuli dan murid mendengar berdasarkan posisi interaksi dan perilaku aktual, yang terdapat pada kegiatan belajar mengajar bisindo di Pusbisindo? Penulis menggunakan Teori Adaptasi Interaksi Judee Burgoon. Teori ini memberi penjelasan lebih komprehensif tentang interpersonal adaptasi dan proses interaksi diadik dengan penekanan pada pengaruh biologis dan sosiologis individu. Terdapat sembilan prinsip panduan dan lima konsep dasar dalam teori ini. Metode yang digunakan, yaitu  kualitatif dengan triangulasi: wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) bahwa antara guru tuli dan siswa mendengar ada kebutuhan bersama, yaitu untuk dapat berkomunikasi dengan orang tuli (persyaratan); (2) ada pola interaksi ketika kegiatan belajar mengajar dapat berlangsung (harapan); dan (3) guru tuli dan murid mendengar bahwa mereka memiliki kesamaan untuk memahami keinginan (keinginan). Sementara itu, posisi interaksi dan perilaku aktual yang terkait dengan persyaratan, harapan dan keinginan menunjukkan bahwa apa yang dibutuhkan lebih diperhatikan daripada yang diharapkan atau diinginkan. Kata Kunci: Interaksi adaptasi, bahasa isyarat Indonesia (bisindo), komunikasi nonverbal The purpose of this study is to provide an understanding of the interaction adaptation between deaf teachers and student hears, in learning activities to teach bisindo at Pusbisindo, Jakarta. The problems studied: 1) How do requirements, expectations, and desires in the interaction adaptation between deaf teachers and student hears, in the teaching activities of bisindo at Pusbisindo? 2) How does the pattern of interaction between deaf teachers and student hears based on the position of interaction and actual behavior, which is found in the teaching activities of bisindo at Pusbisindo? The author uses the Judee Burgoon Interaction Adaptation Theory. This theory provides a more comprehensive explanation of interpersonal adaptation and dyadic interaction processes with an emphasis on individual biological and sociological influences. There are nine guiding principles and five basic concepts in this theory. The method used is qualitative with triangulation: interviews, observation, and documentation. Rumusan masalah yang dikedepankan adalah: (1) bagaimana munculnya gejala sosiopat di kalangan mahasiswa;  (2) apa dampak sosiopat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari? Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelian berlangsung di Malang Raya di lingkungan aktivis mahasiswa Mazhab Djaeng, yaitu kelompok diskusi aktivis mahasiswa yang dilaksanakan seminggu sekali di luar kampus dan diikuti oleh seluruh mahasiswa di Malang dan masyarakat umum. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif Matthew B. Miles dan A. Michael Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) foto selfie memperkuat gejala narsisme di kalangan mahasiswa; (2) narsisme yang kelewat batas memunculkan gejala penyakit sosial di masyarakat, yaitu antisosial; (3) perlunya gerakan literasi media dan masyarakat untuk menekan dampak munculnya sosiopat.Kata Kunci: Media Sosial, sosiopat, swafoto This background of this research is (1) the advancement of communication technology that has changed people's behavior in communication; (2) the increasing number of selfie activities that uploaded on social media; and (3) sociopathic symptoms appear for social media users. The formulation of the problems is: (1) how the symptoms of sociopaths arise among students; (2) what is the impact of sociopaths in everyday life? Using a qualitative approach, the study took place in Malang Raya in the Djaeng School student activist environment, namely a student activist discussion group held once a week outside the campus and attended by all students in Malang and the general public. The data analysis technique used is interactive analysis model Matthew B. Miles and A. Michael Huberman. Menggunakan teori komodifikasi, pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi eksploitasi dan komodifikasi konten, khalayak, dan pekerja secara tidak langsung terhadap para pengikut (followers) akun Instagram @salman_al_jugjawy. Eksploitasi dan komodifikasi terjadi secara halus karena hampir semua pengikut akun @salman_al_jugjawy adalah para penggemar yang dengan suka rela akan ikut membantu penyebaran informasi pada komunitas-komunitas virtual di Instagram. Kata Kunci: Ekonomi politik media, komodifikasi, Instagram This study aims to analyze the commodification of content, audiences, and workers on Instagram accounts @salman_al_jugjawy. Using the commodification theory, the approach used is a descriptive-qualitative approach. The results showed that there was an exploitation and commodification of content, audiences, and workers indirectly towards followers (followers) of Instagram accounts @salman_al_jugjawy. Exploitation and commodification occur smoothly because almost all followers of the @salman_al_jugjawy account are fans who will voluntarily help spread information to virtual communities on Instagram. Korean wave telah menarik perhatian masyarakat dari berbagai negara dan menjadi salah satu budaya populer yang mampu bersaing dengan budaya Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana presentasi diri pengguna Instagram ketika menggunakan bahasa Korea (Hangeul) . Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme dan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para informan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini mempelajari Hangeul secara otodidak serta memiliki motivasi yang sama dalam mempelajari Hangeul , yaitu merasa tertarik dengan dunia hiburan dan budaya Korea. Mereka lalu menjadikan Instagram sebagai ruang presentasi diri melalui penggunaan Hangeul . Ekspektasi yang diharapkan adalah munculnya kesan bahwa mereka adalah sosok yang mengagumkan karena menguasai bahasa asing (Korea), mirip dengan orang Korea asli, dapat menunjukkan identitas sebagai penggemar idola Korea, dan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan fan girling mempunyai sisi positif. Kata Kunci: Dramaturgi, presentasi diri, Instagram, Hangeul The Korean wave is a blend of traditional South Korean culture with pop culture presented in the form of drama (K-drama) and music (K-pop). The Korean wave has attracted the attention of people from various countries and has become one of the popular culture that is able to compete with Western culture. This study aims to find out how self-presentation of Instagram users when using Korean (Hangeul). This study uses constructivism paradigm and qualitative approach. The results showed that the informants involved in this study studied Hangeul in a self-taught manner and had the same motivation in learning Hangeul, which felt interested in the world of entertainment and Korean culture. They make Instagram as a self presentation space through the use of Hangeul. What is expected is the emergence of the impression that they are amazing figures because they master foreign languages (Korean), similar to native Koreans, can show their identity as fans of Korean idols, and show that the girling fan activities have a positive side. Film yang ditayangkan terbatas ini berkisah mengenai peran seorang ibu, istri, sekaligus pencari nafkah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan representasi perempuan dalam film Siti. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode semiotika Roland Barthes. Dari film ini, setidaknya ada tiga hal yang bisa dikemukakan sebagai penekanan. Pertama, film ini tidak keluar dari sosok Siti (sosok perempuan yang lemah, tabah, dan kuat). Kedua, unsur lokalitas tetap dibangun tanpa dipermainkan. Ketiga, sajian sinematik yang minimalis dan sederhana menjadikan setiap pesan dalam film ini bisa tersampaikan dengan baik. Sekalipun film ini hadir dalam ruang kontradiktif satu sama lain, karena mengangkat dan menggambarkan sosok perempuan Jawa yang hidup dalam kesumukan budaya patriarkal, bukan berarti film ini membawa/menyuarakan paradigma feminis atau keadilan/ketidakadilan gender.Kata Kunci: Siti, perempuan Jawa, patriarkal, film The film titled Siti, directed by Eddie Cahyono, won Indonesian Film Festival in 2015. The limited screened film revolves around the role of a mother, wife, and breadwinner. This study aims to describe the representation of women in the film Siti. This study uses a qualitative approach with Roland Barthes's semiotic method. From this film, there are at least three things that can be put forward as emphasis. First, this film did not come out of the figure of Siti (a weak, steadfast and strong woman). Second, the element of locality is still built without being mocked. Third, a minimalist and simple cinematic presentation makes every message in this film well conveyed. Pemberitaan selebriti yang bertengkar pun diberitakan sedemikian rupa seakan seluruh masyarakat harus mengetahui pertengkaran tersebut, tak terkecuali pada tayangan infotainment “Pagi-Pagi Pasti Happy” yang di tayangkan di stasiun televisi TransTV. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerimaan penonton terhadap tabloidisasi pertikaian selebriti pada tayangan infotainment “Pagi-Pagi Pasti Happy”. Menggunakan teori encoding dan decoding milik Stuart Hall, peneltian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan reception analysis method . Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam bersama pengikut akun Instagram @Lambe_Turah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tidak sepenuhnya informan berada pada posisi dominant hegemonic , dan terdapat sebagian yang berada pada posisi oppositional . Adanya perbedaan pandangan, status, pekerjaan, budaya, asumsi-asumsi khalayak sebelum membaca teks, dan intensitas mengakses infotainment ikut mempengaruhi cara informan membaca tabloidisasi pertikaian selebriti. Artinya, informan adalah penonton yang aktif, karena mereka tak hanya menikmati tayangan ini secara gamblang, tetapi juga mampu membaca makna dari teks yang disajikan pada acara atau tayangan tersebut. Kata Kunci: Tabloidisasi pertikaian selebriti, infotainment, penerimaan penonton, enkoding dan dekoding Celebrity disputes in the world of infotainment are endless. The preaching of the quarreling celebrities was reported in such a way as if entire community had to know the dispute, including infotainment program \"Pagi-Pagi Pasti Happy\" which was broadcast on TransTV. This study aims to determine the audience's acceptance of “tabloidisasi” of celebrity disputes on the infotainment show program \"Pagi-Pagi Pasti Happy\". Using Stuart Hall's theory of encoding and decoding, this research is qualitative research with reception analysis method. Technique of collecting data uses interviews with followers of the Instagram account @Lambe_Turah. The results of this study indicate that not entirely the informant is in a dominant hegemonic position, and there are some who are in oppositional positions. The different views, status, occupation, culture, audience assumptions before reading the text, and intensity of accessing infotainment also influence the way informants read the “tabloidisasi” of celebrity disputes. So, informants are active viewers, because they not only enjoy this show clearly, but also are able to read the meaning of the text presented at the event or show. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam dan observasi nonpartisipan sebagai sumber data primer, dengan studi pustaka dan dokumentasi sebagai sumber sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Wahidin Halim selalu tersenyum (pesan fasial) ketika sedang berhadapan dengan masyarakat Banten, sementara gerak olah tangannya (hand gesture) lebih sering terlihat mengangkat tangan dengan jari terbuka. Ketika berada di tengah masyarakat, jarak yang yang terbangun antara Wahidin Halim dengan masyarakat Banten tergolong jarak intim dan personal, sementara penampilan (pesan artifaktual) yang merupakan ciri khasnya ialah baju koko putih, celana hitam, dan peci hitam. Adapun dalam hal kecepatan bicara tergolong cepat, dengan intonasi suara bersemangat serta gaya komunikasi yang ceplas-ceplos dan humoris. Kata Kunci: Komunikasi politik, pesan nonverbal, Pilkada Banten 2017, Wahidin Halim ABSTRACTThis study aims to find out various nonverbal messages in Wahidin Halim's political communication in 2017 Banten elections, and focused only on the message of kinesik, proxemik, artifactual, and paralingustik. The approach used in this study is qualitative with descriptive method. The data collection techniques used in-depth interview and nonparticipant observation as primary data sources, with literature study and documentation as secondary sources. The results of this study showed that Wahidin Halim always smiled (facial message) when he was meeting the people of Banten, while the hand gesture was more often seen raising his hand with his fingers open. During the campaign, the distance between Wahidin Halim and the people of Banten was classified as intimate and personal. Meanwhile, the appearance (artifactual message) which is his trademark is white koko, black pants and peci hitam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana proses komunikasi yang berlangsung dalam kelompok masyarakat sebagai bagian dari proses pemberdayaan komunitas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, sementara teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, FGD, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi yang setara antaranggota komunitas menjadi hal yang penting untuk menjaga keberlangsungan komunitas. Proses komunikasi dan dialog yang dilakukan secara intens dan terus menerus ini dapat menjadi kekuatan dalam mengatasi hambatan serta pada akhirnya akan bergerak menuju kemajuan bersama. Kata kunci:  Komunikasi kelompok, partisipasi, dialog, pemberdayaan komunitas  Communication has vital role in community empowerment. This study aims to see how the process of communication takes place in the community as part of the community empowerment process. This research is qualitative research with case study approach, while data collection techniques use in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and observations. The results of the research show that the equal communication between community members is important to maintain community sustainability. The process of communication and dialogue that is carried out intensely and continuously can be a power in overcoming obstacles and will eventually move towards mutual progress. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus eksploratif jenis single case holistic. Data primer dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, sementara data sekunder bersumber dari studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LAZ Dompet Dhuafa tidak melakukan riset khusus terkait perencanaan program; riset yang dilakukan hanya melalui fakta-fakta baru di lapangan melalui program-program yang sudah ada sebelumnya. Perencanaan program tematik dan nontematik LAZ Dompet Dhuafa dilakukan melalui rapat kerja tahunan, sementara pesan utama yang ingin disampaikan kepada pihak eksternal disampaikan melalui website resmi dan media sosial. Adapun evalusi program yang dilakukan tidak melibatkan publik eksternal. Kata Kunci: Manajemen Public Relations, zakat, Dompet Dhuafa ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine (1) the method of identifying problems of Public Relations at LAZ Dompet Dhuafa; (2) the planning and programming process of LAZ Dompet Dhuafa; (3) the strategy of action and communication of LAZ Dompet Dhuafa; and (4) the evaluation process of the LAZ Dompet Dhuafa program. This study uses a qualitative method with an explorative case study approach and single case holistic. The primary data in this study were obtained through in-depth interviews, while the secondary data were obtained from literature and documentation. The results of the study show that LAZ Dompet Dhuafa does not conduct specific research related to program planning; the research only carried out through new facts in the field through the pre-existing programs. The planning of thematic and non-thematic program is carried out through annual work meetings, while the main message to be conveyed to public (external) is delivered through the official website and social media. Garuda Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi dengan model paradigma naturalistik (naturalistic inquiry). Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumentasi, sementara teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis induktif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa manajemen menerapkan sistem keterbukaan dalam berkomunikasi dengan awak kabin, termasuk mengutamakan komunikasi secara tatap muka dan juga mempraktikkan human relation sebagai landasan berkomunikasi. Penyusunan pesan juga dilakukan dengan penyesuaian; apabila bersifat persuasif , akan digunakan kalimat persuasif, begitu pula apabila pesan bersifat informasi (narasi) atau argumentasi. Sedangkan pemilihan channel dilakukan dengan memperhatikan jika penerima (receiver) bisa menyandi balik (decode) agar bisa memunculkan feedback positif, termasuk juga dengan memanfaatkan media sosial seperti Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, dan Whatsapp. Sementara hambatan yang ditemui dalam proses komunikasi yang berlangsung ialah tingginya mobilitas awak kabin dan keengganan awak kabin untuk berkomunikasi dengan pihak manajemen (komunikasi ke atas) meskipun keterbukaan komunikasi telah dilakukan. Kata Kunci: Komunikasi organisasi, ketepatan komunikasi, Garuda Indonesia ABSTRACTThis research aims to determine the fidelity of communication based on the six (6) communication elements in the communication process between management and cabin crew at PT. Garuda Indonesia. This study is qualitative research, using phenomenology approach with naturalistic inquiry model. The research data was obtained through participative observation, in-depth interview and documentation study, while the data analysis technique uses inductive analysis. The results of this study shows that management has implement an openness system in communicating with cabin crew, including prioritizing face-to-face communication and also practicing human relations as the foundation to communicate. Preparation of messages is done with adjustment; persuasive sentences are used if the messages is persuasive, as well as if the message is information (narrative) or argumentation.
