In this study, we present a mathematical model of malaria transmission dynamics with optimal control. We estimated the basic reproduction number for the infected cases in Kebri Dehar district from September 2011 - June 2015 E.C is . The parameters of the model are estimated by using the confirmed malaria cases of Kebri Dehar district, Ethiopia. We formulated the model for malaria and present its dynamics in details. Initially, we present the basic mathematical results and then show briefly the stability results for the model. Further, we formulate an optimal control problem with control functions and obtain the optimal control characterization. The optimal control problem is solved numerically and the results comprised of controls system for different strategies. The controls such as prevention, treatment and insecticide could use the best role in the disease eradication from the community. Our results suggest that the prevention of humans from the mosquitoes, treatment of infected humans and the insecticide spray on mosquitoes can significantly reduce the infection of malaria and may reduce further spread of infection in the community.","PeriodicalId":200824,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Mathematics and Computer Research","volume":"112 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140495583","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With slight modifications, this estimation algorithm can be used for data on a binary scale and even for more complex models such as higher order constructs. This study aims to determine by simulation and application of real data the performance of the higher-order construct modeling approach, which of the repeated indicator and two-stage approaches provides better results. From simulation study it was found that the repeated indicator approach with binary data (BinPLS) was better than the two-stage approach. Empirical results also show that the BinPLS measurement model with the repeated indicator approach is better than standard PLS. Evaluation of the structural model also shows that BinPLS with a repeated indicator approach is the best because it produces path coefficients and the power to explain multidimensional poverty and social protection models that are better than BinPLS with a two-stage approach and standard PLS.","PeriodicalId":200824,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Mathematics and Computer Research","volume":"52 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138606557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By comparing the derived trigonometric fractional order differential form solution with the reconstructed Gegenbauer wavelet solution in exploring the initial value problem of the fractional order FitzHugh-Nagumo equation, this paper not only verifies the suitability of the defined fractional order differential form solution for numerical computations but also highlights the high accuracy of the Gegenbauer wavelet method in solving fractional order differential equations. Furthermore, by comparing the exact solution with the reconstructed solution using the Gegenbauer wavelet method, it is concluded that the synchronization rate between neurons in the fractional order FitzHugh-Nagumo model is faster than the corresponding integer-order synchronization rate.","PeriodicalId":200824,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Mathematics and Computer Research","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135888545","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Every Euclidean domain (ED) is a Principal ideal domain (PID), but not all principal ideals are Euclidean. We provide detailed proof that the quadratic algebraic integer ring Q[(sqrt{-43})] is not Euclidean domain. We proved that the ring of algebraic integer in the quadratic complex field Q[(sqrt{-43})] is a principal ideal domain using the developed inequalities and field norm axioms in [1]. We proved that the ring Q[(sqrt{-43})] fails to have universal side divisors, thus, fails to be Euclidean domain (ED). This article extended the result application of [1] proving that ring R of algebraic integer in complex quadratic fields Q[(sqrt{-M})] for M = 43 is non-Euclidean PID in an understandable manner. We hope to look into the formation of these rings, thus, non-Euclidean geometries where the practical application will be more useful. Due to such reason a model of such type of fluid called the differential type model in which the third grade fluid is categorized. The skin friction, Nusselt number, and Sherwood number through the graphs obtained, were also obtained. The nonlinear partial differential equations were solved using He – Laplace method. He – laplace method is a combination of Homotopy perturbation method with the Laplace transform method which is used in determining linear together with the nonlinear partial differential equations, and the use of He’s polynomials for the nonlinear term. Amongst many results obtained; the velocity, temperature and concentration profiles diminish due to the increase in suction parameter. Higher values of magnetic parameter decreases the fluid velocity. The temperature distribution is enhanced by the increment in radiation parameter. Upsurging values of chemical reaction decline the concentration of the fluid.","PeriodicalId":200824,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Mathematics and Computer Research","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135207367","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this analysis, two sets of baseline parameter values are compiled: one for areas that exhibit high transmission rate and another one for areas with low transmission rates. Sensitivity indices for the basic reproductive number and the endemic equilibrium points are computed. The study established that in areas of low transmission, the reproductive number is most sensitive to the mosquito biting rate, but the equilibrium proportion of the infectious humans is most sensitive to the human recovery rate. Sensitivity analysis on all state variables was conducted. The results indicated that the most influential factors in the transmission and persistence of malaria in the society are those related to vectorial competence. These findings suggests that strategies that target the vector characteristics such as the mosquito biting rate and those that target the human recovery rate can be very successful in controlling malaria. These strategies include the use of insecticide-treated mosquito nets, indoor residual spraying, prompt diagnosis and treatment of infectious individuals. However, a combination of intervention strategies is more effective than application of a single intervention.","PeriodicalId":200824,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Mathematics and Computer Research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129789660","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
