Despite reposition between different networks, connectivity at different positions is attained continuously with no user intervention. Mobile IP grants connectivity to nodes everywhere, whether within home networks or away from home. General improvement in MIPv6 may offer enhanced security, however, there are areas still prone to attacks. Security solutions for the mobile IP protocol are still in progress. IP Security (IPsec) in the IPv6 protocol can secure Mobile IPv6 more than IPv4. IPsec presents security services for the application and transportation layer protocols of the TCP/IP stack. However, there are several unsolved concerns and problems with Mobile IPv6 in most cases which justifies development of new methods to provide acceptable level of security. This article focuses on how IPsec works, Mobile IPv6 security, potential threats and security considerations.","PeriodicalId":200002,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Intelligent Systems Modelling and Simulation","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-02-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125069919","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of the BIST is to reduce power dissipation without affecting the fault coverage. The proposed test pattern generator reduces the switching activity among the test patterns at the most. In this approach, the single input change patterns generated by a counter and a gray code generator are Exclusive -- ORed with the seed generated by the low power linear feedback shift register [LP-LFSR]. The proposed scheme is evaluated by using, a synchronous pipelined 4×4 and 8×8 Braun array multipliers. The System-On-Chip (SOC) approach is adopted for implementation on Altera Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) based SOC kits with Nios II soft-core processor. From the implementation results, it is verified that the testing power for the proposed method is reduced by a significant percentage.","PeriodicalId":200002,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Intelligent Systems Modelling and Simulation","volume":"113 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-02-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129727674","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Knowing your location?? And being able to navigate to other locations is extremely important for autonomous robots. The act of finding one's location against a map is known as localization. So how can a robot localize itself? The most common form of intelligent localization and navigation is to use a map, combined with sensor readings and some form of closed-loop motion feedback. But a robot needs to do so much more than just localizing itself. Often, we'd like our robots to be able to build their own maps, since map building by hand is tedious, boring, and error-prone. The field of robotics that studies localization and mapping is typically called SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) [1]. Robot cists around the globe have been working to find a solution to localization for more than 20 years; however, only in the past 4-5 years we have seen some promising results. In this work, we describe a first-of-a-kind, breakthrough technology for pose finding for localization that requires only one low-cost camera and a powerful ARM based micro-controller. Because of its low-cost and robust performance in realistic environments, this technology is particularly well-suited for use in consumer and commercial applications.","PeriodicalId":200002,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Intelligent Systems Modelling and Simulation","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-02-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128297847","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Objects in the world exhibit complex interactions when captured in a video sequence, some interactions manifest themselves as occlusions. A visual tracking system must be able to track objects which are partially or even fully occluded. In this paper, we propose an approach for tracking multiple objects in dynamic scenes to handle objects partial occlusion. The algorithm consists of two steps at first step we use Gaussian Mixture Model as an effective way to extract moving objects from a video sequence. Then a combinational method is used for shadow removal. The second step of the proposed algorithm is object tracking framework based on Kalman filtering which uses Stable Marriage Problem (SMP) implemented algorithm which is adapted to perform data association and occlusion detection, and fast mean shift computation results for tracking during occlusion . Our approach has the advantages of low cost and low complexity, and can be realized in real time system and is tested on using several real world datasets.","PeriodicalId":200002,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Intelligent Systems Modelling and Simulation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-02-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129676989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are many WSN devices on the market that have been developed using proprietary systems and therefore have different performances, although implementing similar standards. This paper presents a comparative performance measurement and analysis of three types of WSN devices evaluated for application in a mixed-crop farm. The results show that the Xbee-PRO maintains very strong RSSI values in open field measurements that are sometime 15 dBm higher than those obtained from the IRIS and Microchip motes. Overall, two important factors that influence WSN node performances are antenna height and the type of antenna used. Whip omni-directional antenna has been shown to double the range of the WSN node compared to a patch antenna. Results also show that the log-distance propagation model is a more flexible model that can be used to model a variety of channels, although it lacks standard global parameter values.","PeriodicalId":200002,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Intelligent Systems Modelling and Simulation","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-02-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126649441","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main challenge with this problem is that the data are available only as a mixture of observations generated by a finite set of different interacting linear subsystems so that one does not know a priori which subsystem has generated which data. To overcome this difficulty, we formally pose the problem of identifying each submodel as a combinatorial ℓ0 optimization problem. To decrease the complexity of this NP-hard problem we use a gravitational search algorithm, we present sufficient conditions for this relaxation to be exact. The whole identification procedure allows us to extract the parameter vectors (associated with the different subsystems) one after another without any prior clustering of the data according to their respective generating submodels. Some simulation results are included to support the potentialities of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":200002,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Intelligent Systems Modelling and Simulation","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-02-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126546367","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper explores the current practices of conventional IT resource management systems (IRMS) and sensor-based IRMS (SIRMS) in the context of data centers. This has been done with the objective to identify the gaps between the ideal and optimal utilization of built-in hardware sensors and facility SIS within the current practices. Furthermore, through content analysis of data gathered from five case studies, the paper evaluates the opportunities and added functionalities that SIRMS have the potential to provide to data centers through advanced automation of the information technology infrastructure. How SIRMS can facilitate the optimization of IT resource usage is also discussed. This leads to the elaboration on the contributions that SIS can make towards the automation of data centers.","PeriodicalId":200002,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Intelligent Systems Modelling and Simulation","volume":"128 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-02-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116717773","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The new method allows the user to look around freely while the wheelchair navigates automatically to the desired goal point. Only EOG signals are used to control the wheelchair; eye gazing and blinking. The user can still choose to control the wheelchair using the classic manual method in case the environment and obstacles structure does not help with the auto navigation method. In the new auto navigation method the microcontroller can know the goal point direction and distance by calculating the gaze angle that the user is gazing at. PoingBug algorithm is used to navigate the wheelchair in Auto controlling method. Simulated results are similar to Tangent Bug algorithm results, but experimental tests are slightly improved in some cases where the surroundings have sharp edges.","PeriodicalId":200002,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Intelligent Systems Modelling and Simulation","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-02-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125696127","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To date, the bird nest grading is based on weight, shape and size. The inspection and grading for raw edible bird nest were performed visually by expert panels. This conventional method is relying more on human judgments. A Fourier-based shape separation (FD) method was developed from Charge Couple Device (CCD) image data to grade bird nest by its shape and size. FD was able to differentiate different shape such as oval and 'v' shaped depending on the swift let species and geographical origin. The Wilks' lambda analysis was invoked to transform and compress the data set comprising of large number of interconnected variables to a reduced set of variates. It can be further used to differentiate bird nest from different geographical origin. Overall, the vision system was able to correctly classify 100% of the V and Oval shaped and 81.3% for each grade in oval shape of the bird nest.","PeriodicalId":200002,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Intelligent Systems Modelling and Simulation","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-02-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122734635","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
