In this research, the motion vectors are computed using an optical flow technique and further analyzed based on the magnitude and angle. We utilize a relative motion direction with respect to the center of the cavity, which is more useful for diagnosis because a physician can observe whether a segment is moving to the center or not more clearly. Instead of analizing individual vectors, it is more helpful to visualize the overall trend by performing their angular distribution. However, a common angular distribution considers motions with small and large magnitudes to have only an equal contribution and often fails to represent an accurate motion direction of a segment if there is a wide distribution of vector angles in the respective segment. In this paper, we propose a new method of providing an accurate radial direction profile by modifying the contribution of the motion vectors to the radial direction distribution based on a certain magnitude function. Since the local search itself depends on the definition of the neighborhood operator, we intend to understand the effect of the employed neighborhood operator to the performance of MA. In this work, we examine two typical neighborhood operators used in solving timetabling problems, that is neighborhood based on Move (reschedule lectures and replace rooms) and Swap (exchange the timeslot and room of two lectures). The results reveal the importance of defining neighborhood operator suitable with the problems. The design procedure and experimental setup are shown in order to design and characterize the MOSFETs photo response. The experiment and observation of photo response are measured against gate voltage with a drain current bias detraction at room temperature. For this circuit modeling, patch cavity model consists of series resistor and inductor which represent the surface resistance and surface inductance with the combination of LC circuit as the resonant circuit is introduced. Moreover, a slot is etched on the patch antenna and represented by a series LC circuit for its circuit model. The result is then repeated with modification done on the slot and also the circuit model. Network coding will perform an XOR operation in the intermediate nodes to improve the throughput of the network. The simulation of network coding in AODV to search for the route to destination will be conducted in MATLAB. This paper introduces the development of simulation to illustrate the performance of network coding in wireless ad hoc network. The simulation will calculate the transmit packet time according to the size of the packet. In this paper, we propose a set of procedure to evaluate LV shape deformation quantitatively and precisely. The LV myocardial shape of first cardiac cycle (end diastole) is reconstructed using a set of control points manually by expert and then tracked to last cardiac cycle (end systole) using accurate motion estimation. A new global shape parameter is extracted based on the alteration of both of shape in end diastole and end systole. This parameter is a spatial geometry variable on the apical segment of human cardiac. The normal subject and patient data are used to evaluate this procedure. A circuit design technique such as wave-pipelining achieves high speed without the above limitations. Wave-pipelined circuit dispenses with the need for registers for storing the intermediate results and instead uses the inherent capacitance at the input to the various blocks. This results in lower power at the cost of speed. Hybrid scheme is aimed at combining the advantages of both pipelining and wave-pipelining. Hence, we proposed the design and implementation of hybrid wavepipelined 2D-DWT using lifting scheme in this paper. For the purpose of comparison, non pipelined scheme as well as the scheme with pipelining within the blocks and between the blocks is implemented. Electronic nose (e-nose) is an artificial olfaction device that is able to replicate the human olfactory sense. By using Interdigitated Electrode (IDE) structure, an enose sensor for detecting Limonene volatile by using molecular imprinted polymer (MIP) was fabricated. The MIP membrane contained the methacrylic acid, which formed specific cavities originated by target molecule. The ingredients for MIP were then polymerized on the surface of IDE with PET as substrate which is low in cost. The sensing property was examined in gas phase for evaluate the sensor sensitivity and selectivity. The IDE MIP sensor is capable to detect Limonene contained gas. The sensor characteristics were strongly influenced by the composition ratio of crosslinker, functional monomer and template molecule. The remained molecule on MIP can be removed by immersing thus the sensor can be used repeatedly. By determining Limonene volatile released during pre-matured until matured period, one could use this as a data point to determine certain fruit maturity. The e-nose applications include food quality assurance, fragrance industry, medical diagnosis, environmental monitoring, agricultural industry and homeland security. The current e-nose design trend are portable, small size, low power consumption, high processing power using embedded controller and easy to operate to enable it to perform the designed tasks effectively. This paper deals with the design issues of a hand-held e-nose based on sensor selection and optimum embedded controller capabilities. A summary of proposed hardware and software solutions are provided with emphasis on data processing. The data processing utilizes multivariate statistical analysis i.e. Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Hierarchical Cluster Analysis (HCA) and Linear Discriminate Analysis (LDA). The developed instrument was tested to discriminate the Ganoderma boninense fruiting body (basidiocarp). The training of ANN is an iterative process which consumes huge amount of time when executed on conventional microprocessors. It can be accelerated by adopting parallel computation techniques. This paper presents a Verilog HDL based parallel Hardware Architecture for ANN training using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm, which can be synthesized for a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) or an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC). PSO was preferred over a gradient descent method like Back Propagation (BP), because of its parallel nature and simplicity, which enables an easy hardware implementation.
