Subsequently, warranty studies attracted researchers from such field as economics, accounting, management, marketing engineering, operations research and statistics. There are two types of warranty namely one-dimensional warranty, which is based on product usage or product age, and two-dimensional warranty which considers both product age and usage. This paper is mainly concerned about two-dimensional warranty. We applied neuro-fuzzy system approach of AI to optimize warranty cost and period. In this paper, neuro-fuzzy framework apply in warranty cost modelling is proposed.","PeriodicalId":200002,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Intelligent Systems Modelling and Simulation","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123635243","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It orients to improve the performance of the separately excited motor in addition to regulating its speed through the entire operating range. The Digital Signal Processor (DSP), besides generating the PWM gating pulse for the lone power switch in the AC-DC converter, is programmed to function as a PI/FUZZY controller in the feedback loop. The control strategy is designed to echo an improvement in the input power factor, eliminate the lower order harmonics and there by reduce the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of the supply current. One of the main goals of this analysis is to gather critical information, such as critical clearing time (tCCT) of the circuit breakers for faults in the system. tCCT is defined as the maximum time between the fault initiation and its clearing, such that the power system is transiently stable. This paper presents a transient stability analysis of the IEEE 14 bus test system using Dynamic Computation for Power Systems (DCPS) software package. This C++ based software package has the ability to handle systems up to 1000 buses and 250 generators, providing an alternative to expensive commercial software packages. To analyze the effect of the distance of the fault location and critical clearing time on the system stability, a three-phase fault has been applied at five different locations in the system. The stability of the system has been observed based on the simulation graphs of terminal voltage, machine's rotor angle, machine's speed and output electrical power. The simulation results showed that tCCT decreases as the fault location becomes closer to the main generator.","PeriodicalId":200002,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Intelligent Systems Modelling and Simulation","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-02-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125356366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Virtualization increase server utilization rates. Along with this, it lets you consolidate multiple operating systems and applications as per physical server and deploy new applications in minutes. The benefits in utilization, energy savings, manageability, service levels and cost models can be dramatic. If we come to concept of actual machine depends on various companies developing it, like Intel, Microsoft, IBM's, and Cisco etc. If we come to Microsoft application i.e. an OSlevel virtual machine architecture for Windows applications called Feather-weight Virtual Machine (FVM), under which virtual machines share as many resources of the host machine as possible while still isolated from one another and from the host machine. The key technique behind FVM is namespace virtualization, which isolates virtual machines by renaming resources at the OS system call interface. Through a copy-on write scheme, FVM allows multiple virtual machines to physically share resources but logically isolate their resources from each other. A main technical challenge in FVM is how to achieve strong isolation among different virtual machines and the host machine, due to numerous namespaces and inter process communication mechanisms on Windows. What forms the internal core components of the Virtual Machine system? We can consider them as layers such as hardware, Host Operating system, Virtual Machine Monitor, Application parts(no. of OS installed).","PeriodicalId":200002,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Intelligent Systems Modelling and Simulation","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-02-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122714418","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The gated lateral BJT can function as both a metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) and a BJT. By using selfassembled monolayer (SAM) method, the CRP antibodies were immobilized on the floating gate of the device as the sensing membrane. Through the experiment, the characteristics of the gated lateral BJT for biomaterials detection were analyzed in this study. According to the results, under the MOSFET-BJT hybrid mode of the device, when the base current was -10 μA, the sensitivity was approximately 0.80 μA/decade, and the sensing limit was approximately 1 pmol/L. Meanwhile, the gated lateral BJT can be successfully applicable as sensitive biosensor.","PeriodicalId":200002,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Intelligent Systems Modelling and Simulation","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-02-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122888850","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This noise is dominated by circuit non-idealities in phase/frequency detector (PFD) and charge pump. The spur magnitude is linearly related with Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) gain. Estimating this noise using transistor level simulation is time consuming. Therefore, in this paper we present a Simulink behavioural model to accurately estimate the reference spur. PFD delay, charge pump current mismatch, rise and fall times effect and switching delay, in addition to non-linearity in the VCO gain, are all included in this model. The proposed model was used to estimate the reference spur for an 18.5 GHz PLL and the results were compared with transistor level simulation, and show less than 3% difference in the result.","PeriodicalId":200002,"journal":{"name":"2012 Third International Conference on Intelligent Systems Modelling and Simulation","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-02-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114487709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, the packet may also be lost during transmission. The whole networked fault detection system is modeled as a stochastic singular switched system, sufficient conditions for the stochastic exponential stability of the system as well as the design method of the fault detector are derived via the Lyapunov function method and the Linear matrix inequality technique (LMI). Here, we are proposing a new approach which is based on prim's approach. EASPRP, new routing mechanism for wireless environment has been designed and proposed which is inspired from a shortest path using Prim's algorithm. The prim's approach more efficient then Dijkstra's as the complexity reduces to O((n+e) log n).
