The article establishes a relation of Toni Morrison’s writings with the feminist perspectives and mothering issues (particularly in black families) that led the change of minds and was highly applauded in European society. \u0000The article deals with the Morrison theory on mothering to explore the experiences of black marginalized mothers that were absent in the white European patriarchal narratives on the motherhood. Drawing on Patricia Hills Collin’s concept of Black feminist Motherhood and Andrea O’Reilly’s theories on feminist mothering the study will investigate the impact of Morrison’s works that deconstruct the patriarchal discourse in western writings. Morrison’s novels playing a viable role in liberating mothering experience from suppression to rather intellectual and emotional development. This kind of mothering empowerment became a political and social act. The research follows the narrative approach and techniques of content analysis.

The proximity of Kiev and Moscow raises questions about the nature of relations between Ukraine and the West, which plays a vital role in managing the conflicts around the world to shape the future of the nations in political and economic dimensions. This study puts forth a proposition to observe in the background of the Russia-Ukraine war. The research has applied collaborative and bargaining approaches towards conflict management given by Thomas and Kilmann. \u0000The study recommends that Ukrainian identity, legitimacy of authority and sovereignty should be restored. It is also suggested that the crisis can be solved with sustained and well-intentioned negotiations for conflict resolution, immediate referendums under international surveillance in disputed territories, the complete demilitarisation and non-alignment of Ukraine. The research intends to observe to what extent Western powers play their role in facilitating the dialogue instead of using Ukraine for their political agenda. There is a dire need to revisit trust-building measures between the two neighbours on the ground of their national interests and regional policies. The complicated nature and its far-reaching influence of the crisis demand an urgent handling and an enduring solution before it spirals out of control and the whole region has to bear its insidious outcomes.

This article aims to observe contemporary European developments in accordance with the Union’s energy strategy and the Paris Agreement. With the reduction in import of Russian gas, purchasing LNG became an alternative policy option to meet overall energy needs in Europe. European governments and companies are making large investments in land-based regasification terminals and floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs). These trends have fueled hopes that Europe may be able to avoid the worst-case scenario of massive gas shortages, rationing, and industrial shutdowns in the coming months. Nonetheless, such positive short-term developments should not obscure the challenges Europe’s energy-dependent industries are facing due to high gas and electricity prices, which will likely remain elevated for some time. Industries with gas-intensive production or with high absolute demand for gas could still see disruptions during this winter. \u0000Moreover, this article also evaluates the role of carbon-neutral LNG in European energy crises and its link with eco-friendly processes as set out by the EU and its consequences for the Asian market. The major findings include that the existing carbon measurement framework does not meet the global needs of the LNG industry. Moreover, the breadth of LNG usage is linked to viable GHG emission framework availability.

Russian intervention in its periphery in February 2022 has sent shockwaves to the European Union and NATO members, and posed various challenges to the Eurasian states. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine is a protracted one, but this new phase is more complex and multi-layered. Russia’s annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol in 2014, and support to the militant separatists in Donbas, undermined Ukrainian sovereignty. A series of border skirmishes occurred during 2014-2021, which led to thousands of people dead and injured.[1] The tension converted into a humanitarian crisis with millions of refugees and collateral damages after the 2022 war. This recent situation can be termed as a geopolitical warfare, which is based on the politics of security to assert political advantages in the desired geopolitical sphere of influence.\u0000In this paper, an effort has been made to examine the structural, bilateral, and regional issues that have led Russia to engage in a risky war. It hypothesise that this war cannot be recognized only as a bilateral war between Russia and Ukraine based on the old issues, rather it is the result of new developments in the shape of Ukraine’s pursuit for a new identity and affinity with West, its bid for NATO membership and as a client of US and EU against Russia in the great power rivalry. The theoretical lens of Neo-Realism and the security dilemma best explains the causes of the war between the two. Finally, this study also endeavours to trace some important implications for the Eurasian Region.\u0000 \u0000[1] Conflict-Related Civilian Casualties in Ukraine. Parliamentary Sovereignty is a doctrine where the parliament wields absolute power and can therefore make and unmake laws. Many scholars argue that the doctrine is the central principle in the UK but by weighing its advantages and its disadvantages, one may assume that it can no longer be regarded as the central element of the constitution. The issue of common law radicalism can also be seen as a limitation to parliamentary sovereignty. The paper also discuss some legal issues of translating Parliamentary Acts by courts and judges. Simultaneously an act count valid on certain circumstances but not applicable when it conflicts with other status. \u0000This article emphasises on the study of factors that limit the most popular dogma. For instances, the UK entering the European Union in 1973, the Human Rights Act 1998, devolution of power to Scottish Parliament and Welsh Assembly, the doctrine of implied repeal, common law radicalism and democracy.

Besides being an important aspect of linguistics, it has been a socio-political phenomenon. Developments in human history, particularly the growing concept of globalization, wars, treaties, invasions, colonialization, and migrations have ensured that most of the states in today’s world are multilingual, multicultural, or sometimes even multinational in character. During the 18th and the 19th centuries, the rising wave of nation-states based on one language, one culture, and one religion, multilingualism was considered and treated as a curse and menace to the socio-political harmony of the state. Nonetheless, there were few states which showed firm faith in unity in diversity. They remained neutral to those developments and kept alive through preserving, protecting, and flourishing the feature of multilingualism in state policies. Switzerland is considered the spearhead and torchbearer in this march. The foundation of modern Switzerland was established in 1848 by the federal constitution declaring the state multilingual. Even before that, it was a multilingual state comprising French, German, Italian, and Romansch. Today, all the four major languages of the country enjoy the prestige of the national language with a qualified promise to provide equal opportunities for other minor languages. In this context, this present paper offers an overview of the emergence, evolution, and sustainability of multilingualism in Switzerland. The main argument is that “quardilingualism” and multilingualism in Switzerland are not merely due to the state policies but mainly because of the people’s will to live in diversity and their mutual respect for individual idiosyncrasies.

The postmodern approach explores the liminal spaces in Shakespearian dramaturgy where rigid, hide-bound compartmentalization of dichotomies in gender fuse with a fluid, liminal space of hybrid interface. The earlier readings of misogyny and chauvinism into Shakespearian heroines’ assumption of the male identity open vistas in the liminal space where these characters are conferred a privilege to navigate spaces beyond conventional fixities. By subjecting gender binaries to artistic rendition and critical canon, Shakespearian dramas offer insight into the socio-political debate around gender roles and responsibilities. By breaking free with the status quo, Shakespeare's female protagonists emerge more empowered and emancipated in their deft handling of crisis where cross-dressing only serves as an expedient measure to earn them the requisite mobility to the echelons of power. On the other hand, it is on account of their intellectual acumen that poised on a critical juncture they are able to trigger a denouement of the dramatic complication.

The GSP+ is termed as a ‘special incentive arrangement for sustainable development and good governance.’ There are currently eight GSP+ beneficiary countries: Armenia, Bolivia, Cape Verde, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka. This study is focused on the exports of Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines to the European Union. In addition, the impact of GSP+ on the trade of Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Philippines. Descriptive statistics and regression analyses have been performed to identify the impact of GSP+. For regression analyses, data for the period 2008-2019, i.e., six years before the GSP+ (2008-2013) and six years after the GSP+ (2014-2019) has been studied. The result shows that Pakistan is the most beneficiary of the GSP+ as compared to Sri Lanka and the Philippines.
