It also describes replacement methods for a whole string of suspension insulators and a whole string of tension insulators on on a live line, an oiling method for the release clips (suspension type) of conductors, an examination method for conductors and their accessories (including damping wire and its release clip, dampers), and a method of eliminating the detected defects on a live line. Also, this paper introduces a new self-made stretchable cable method using buckets and clamps, presents the design basis of such clamps and effective ways of testing clamps easily.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":198668,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ESMO '93. When linemen enter an electric field along the insulator string, it is in the movement condition. The working positions vary with the position of the damaged insulators. It is very important for safe operation to know the discharge characteristics of various composite gaps in this operation.
