The proposed method modifies current and voltage references making the largest ones bounded in the rated values for delicate attitude control. When current or voltage larger than the rated value is required for a force-torque command, the method generates the modified currents and voltages. Modified references make force and torque with the same direction and decreased magnitude with the original command. An actuator system with the proposed method may have slower control performance but achieves delicate attitude control. Simulative comparison between the proposed method and a simple limiting method, which simply cutoffs references, is done.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127743503","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Half-height (HH) method is one of the simplest ways to compute switching angles of stepped sinusoidal output. Similar approaches have been utilized in digital-analog signal conversion and synthesis. However, there is limited research on HH-based modulation for power inverters. In this paper, a computational modulation scheme based on HH method was studied. The proposed modulation scheme is capable for real-time computation with most present microprocessors. This paper will demonstrate the implementation of the proposed modulation scheme at balanced voltage and the techniques of adaption to varying and unbalanced sources. Capability of having minimum total harmonic distortion (THD) under equal voltage sources of HH method was verified. The performance of the proposed modulation scheme was examined using numeric calculation and simulation with a 7-level cascade H-bridge inverter and the results are presented.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128346813","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It also suggests improvement in the starter circuitry by introducing super capacitors to reduce the number of batteries onboard to ensure improved safety and reliability. It proposes higher frequency of power distribution owing to several benefits. There are several advantages of high frequency AC power distribution over conventional DC distribution and low frequency AC power distribution. This paper explores the idea of employing switched capacitor and switched inductor converters to design multi-level inverters for high frequency AC power supplies for power distribution.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134104473","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The working modes of the circuit in two main states is obtained by combining the on-off state of power switches and the equivalent circuit of DBD type ozone generator. The experimental results indicate that: the series-load resonant power supply of ozone generator not only can realize the soft switching, but also can adjust the discharge power of ozone generator by changing the phase-shift angle under phase-shift control strategy. The series-load resonant power supply is therefore very suitable for ozone generator.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129546072","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, in order to reduce the commutation torque ripple, a novel circuit topology including a zero energy thermonuclear assembly (ZETA) converter and a dc-link voltage selection circuit is proposed and investigated. Firstly, the cause of commutation is analyzed. Then the desired DC link voltage is calculated for the novel circuit topology to make the incoming and outgoing phase currents change at the same rate during commutation, and to effectively reduce the commutation torque ripple. Finally, simulation results show that the proposed topology can effectively suppress the commutation torque ripple under both low-speed and high-speed operation.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130604475","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The meters are a common product on the market but they are surprising inefficient when in use. Currently, their only useful for finding the luminous flux of an area but it is impossible for the flux of an individual light to be found using the meter. With the presence of LED lights and drivers now it may be possible to find the flux of an individual piece of lighting using a new method. The new method involves the use of a potential correlation between heat, efficiency and lumen output within LED drivers. This journal acknowledges the current situation of lighting, including common lighting information, testing and testing equipment. Then an in-depth look will be provided about the current problems along with the potential solution. The solution will include a look into the theory, initial or possible equations and an experiment to test and prove the theory.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131451628","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It's necessary to study a safe and effective black-start strategy for the MMG, because MMG is more complicated than MG not only in the architecture but also in the control mode. This paper puts forward a control strategy with 3-level structure, based on the hierarchical control theory. In addition, the paper designs a black start strategy based on the serial restoration strategy, for the MMG with the PV and energy storage systems. The results of the simulation on PSCAD/ EMTDC, verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the MMG black start strategy.","PeriodicalId":198357,"journal":{"name":"2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA)","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131420815","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
