In order to propel high frequency power distribution into larger power grade, an effective ac arc protection scheme is significant for safety and reliability. However, almost all of the studies of arc fault are focused on dc or low frequency ac (LFAC). This paper presents protection scheme and examines electrical characteristics for high frequency arc fault. Meanwhile, high frequency breaker is examined with ZCS feature, and residual current devices (RCD) design is explored for high frequency power distribution as well. First, the location of arc fault detector (AFD) and interrupting devices (ID) is studied from system level; and the single phase arc grounding fault is analyzed for high frequency sinusoidal waveforms. Second, zero-current-switching (ZCS) feature of high frequency breaker is discussed from monitor circuit and breaker circuit. Third, trigger deficiency of high frequency RCD is demonstrated and corresponding solution is examined. Two kinds of parallel programming models (OpenMP shared-memory and MPI message-passing) are widely used on the SMP (Symmetric Multi-Processors) cluster. By comparing different programming paradigms for parallelization on the nodes of a SMP cluster, we obtain a parallel computing model that shows high performance. When parallel communication is low, using MPI programming purely will be more efficient. Otherwise, the hybrid MPI/OpenMP parallel programming model can be used to achieve better results. The main characteristic of the hybrid programming model is that the whole project is divided into segments according to the hierarchical structure of the task being executed, and this division is based on the principle of system load balance. Task level process adopts MPI for inter-SMP nodes communication, and uses OpenMP for intra-SMP node parallelization inside each processor. Here, a new configuration featuring a V-spoke rotor structure embracing a combined configuration of the conventional V- and spoke-shaped interior permanent magnet (IPM) machines is proposed for its superior torque density over equivalent counterparts. The magnetic open-circuit characteristic of the V-spoke machine is first analysed and compared with that of the equivalent V- and spoke-shaped machines. Then finite element analysis (FEA) simulations are performed for on-load conditions to confirm the superior performance of the proposed design. The frozen permeability method is carried out to provide further insights into the torque production mechanism. This journal will look into these problems, provide a solution and promote a change in this field. Based on the rigid space envelope limits and performance specifications required by the vehicle, four candidate versions of a FSCW PMSM have been determined by initial machine sizing analysis. All versions share the same rotor outer diameter, rotor back iron thickness, permanent magnet thickness, air gap length, and magnet pole arc width ratio. A window-zoom-in response surface method based on two-dimensional parametric finite element analysis is proposed for comprehensive electromagnetic optimization for maximum torque density. Additionally, the machine losses at rated torque output including copper joule loss, rotor eddy current loss, and stator core loss maintain the same in all the candidates. This paper accomplishes the modeling of the SRM and its control system on the basis of the software Matlab/Simulink. Furthermore, it explores the laws of energy factor variation under various speeds and conducting angles, including switch-on and switch-off angle with the same software and confirms them in theoretical analysis. This paper develops a 4 degree of freedom (4-DOF) selective compliance assembly robot arm (SCARA) robot with three rotary joints and one prismatic joint (3R1P) to realize pick-and-place tasks of the circular and rectangular workpieces. The structure of the robot is firstly presented. The kinematic model is then built, and the kinematic analysis is performed based on MATLAB. The trajectory planning is further implemented. A control interface is also designed via Visual C++ to control the robot for achieving pick-and-place tasks. With its application in the new aircraft, DC distribution system is becoming important direction of more or all electric aircraft in the future. More constant frequency load will be supplied with DC main bus by inverter. Aircraft electric power system operation may suffer from large signal disturbances, which affect the inverter's performance greatly. To address the issue, this paper presents a 12-pulse inverter model for large signal disturbance based on generalized state space averaging method.
