Here, two independent profibus backbones are used to connect main CPU rack with main & redundant I/O racks respectively. In the above fashion, the redundant CPU rack is also configured. This completely prevents the loss of control over process due to multiple failures in I/O communication interfaces in the DACS system. And also redundancy in “Y link” is established to acquire profibus DP slave data. This immensely enhances “the fault tolerant & redundancy” level of communication between PLC to I/O & DP slave. This completely avoids the loss of field I/Os communication due to various failures in profibus network.","PeriodicalId":196504,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advances in Engineering & Technology Research (ICAETR - 2014)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129155161","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Coupled lines section is used to achieve the necessary impedance transformation at three selected frequencies. The topology of the structure, different from conventional Wilkinson power divider, is the coupled lines instead of the transmission lines. The most important and unique method is used here in this paper is using coupled line for achieving the tri-band. In this paper the structure is presents on the Rogers RT5880 substrate with dielectric constant is 3.2 and substrate thickness is 0.8 mm, Using CST Microwave studio, by this substrates design there is simulated return loss is greater than 10 dB at center frequencies 8.3 GHz, 11.3 GHz and 17.4 GHz. The average insertion loss is 3 dB and group delays are around 0.29 ns at 8.3 GHz, 0.27 ns at 11.3 GHz and 0.27 ns at 17.4 GHz at these three center frequencies. To fulfil the demands, concept called Cloud Computing came into the picture. The key concept operating at the basic level of cloud computing stack is a Virtualization. Virtual machine (VM) state is represented as a virtual disk file (image) that is created on the hypervisor's local file system, from where virtual machine is booted up. Virtual machine requires minimum one disk to boot and start its function. Within guest operating system, one can use block devices or files as virtual disks with Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM). Till the time, no empirical study has been performed on different types of virtual disk image formats to quantify their runtime performance. We have studied representative application workload: I/O micro-benchmarks on a local file system i.e. direct-attached storage (DAS) environment in conjunction with RAW, Copy-on-Write scheme QCOW2 from QEMU, Microsoft's VHD, Virtualbox's VDI, VMWARE's VMDK and parallel's HDD. We have also investigated the impact of block size on applications runtime performance. This paper seeks to provide the detailed runtime performance analysis of different image formats based on different parameters such as latency, bandwidth, IOs performed per second (IOPS). Today users have a choice to select virtual disks from the pool of virtual disk image formats. But, currently it's a black box selection for users as no comparison or decision model exist for different virtual disk image formats. This study is done to provide insights into the performance aspect of various virtual disk image formats and offer guidelines to virtual disk end users in implementing and using them respectively.","PeriodicalId":196504,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advances in Engineering & Technology Research (ICAETR - 2014)","volume":"221 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116185824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Global air pollution is a serious threat caused by excessive use of fossil fuels for transportation. Despite the fact that diesel fuel is a big environmental pollutant as it contains different hydrocarbons, sulphur and crude oil residues, it is yet regarded as a highly critical fuel due to its wide applications. Now a day's non conventional additive is blended with diesel fuel to achieve numerous advantages such as improvement Calorific Value (CV) and lowering CO2, and CO emissions as well as higher lubricity. Non conventional additive (NCA) is an ideal material for energy recovery as it holds high energy value. In this study, various percentages of NCA is blended with diesel were tested to evaluate the fuel properties. The results of the variance analysis revealed that the addition of the additive improved diesel fuel performance by increasing in calorific value thus improvement in specific fuel consumption.","PeriodicalId":196504,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advances in Engineering & Technology Research (ICAETR - 2014)","volume":"117 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127590770","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In recent study there exist many approaches to solve multi-label classification problems. Which are used in various applications such as protein function classification, music categorization, semantic scene classification, etc., It in-turn uses different evaluation metrics like hamming loss and subset loss for solving multi-label classification but which are deterministic in nature. In this work, we concentrate on probabilistic models and develop two new probabilistic approaches to solve multi-label classification. One of the two approaches is based on logistic regression and nearest neighbor classifiers. This approach is similar to binary relevance method. The training phase of this approach is same as the training phase of binary relevance method, but differs in testing phase. The second approach is based on the idea of grouping related labels. This method trains one classifier for each group and the corresponding label is called as group representative. Predict other labels based on the predicted labels of group representative. The relations between the labels are found using the concept of association rule mining.","PeriodicalId":196504,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advances in Engineering & Technology Research (ICAETR - 2014)","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127007338","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These systems not only increase the stability while driving but have also proved useful for reducing the number of accidents reported on highways and expressways all around the world. Most of the articles published on ESC, generally are about effectiveness of these systems in situations which involve crashes. This paper describes a method to realize such a complex system that also demonstrates the complete working of this system. The model presented here may be produced commercially at a low cost. Thus it may be used in vehicles without much increase in their total cost.","PeriodicalId":196504,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advances in Engineering & Technology Research (ICAETR - 2014)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122110137","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

WSN are generally used to monitor activities and report events, such as fire, overheating etc. in a specific area or environment. It routs data back to the Base Station (BS). Data transmission is usually a multi-hop from node to node towards the BS. Sensor nodes are limited in power, computational and communication bandwidth. Primary goal of researchers is to find the energy efficient routing protocol. This study highlights the recent routing protocols for sensor networks and presents a classification for the various approaches pursued.
