The type of research used by the author is empirical legal research or non-doctrinal research. The results of this research state that the legal protection provided by LBH APIK Jakarta is in the field of litigation and non-litigation. In the field of litigation, it begins with assistance at the complaint stage from the victim to LBH APIK Jakarta, reporting to the police, and trial. The development of the times and the spread of social phenomena that occur on this earth never end in line with the social developments and dynamics that occur in society. This social phenomenon is called a criminal act. There are many criminal acts of fraud occurring in various forms and their development is increasingly high and complex, one of which is business fraud by deception. The crime of fraud itself is regulated in Article 378 of the Criminal Code. The problem in this research is what are the factors that cause committing criminal acts of business fraud by deception and what is the responsibility of perpetrators of criminal acts of business fraud based on Decision Number 130/Pid.B/2023/PN Kbu. The research method used in this research is a normative juridical approach and an empirical approach. This normative approach is carried out by viewing legal issues as rules that are considered appropriate to normative juridical research. Normative juridical research is carried out by means of literature studies on theoretical matters, namely an approach carried out by examining legal sources, legal principles and opinions of scholars as well as applicable laws and regulations. The Empirical Approach is an approach carried out through direct research on the research object by means of observation and interviews related to the research problem. The results of this research show that the factors causing the perpetrator to commit the crime of business fraud by deception are based on three factors, namely economic factors, opportunity factors and individual factors who often tell lies, both of which are the main causes of the defendant committing this act. The presence of false speech makes it seem as if the defendant is telling the truth, which creates trust or confidence in other people and interest, thereby causing the victim to be moved to hand over their property. Then the responsibility of the perpetrator of the criminal act of business fraud by deception is based on lying words that make other people hand over their property or objects resulting in the criminal act of fraud. In this case, the defendant has also been arrested by members of the North Lampung Police. The prosecutor as public prosecutor imposed charges on the defendant in the form of imprisonment for 3 (three) years and 10 (ten) months, which the judge then sentenced to prison for 3 years and 6 months as stated in Decision Number 130/Pid.B/2023/PN Mrs. The author's advice is aimed at ordinary people who want to carry out business activities so that they can be more thorough and understand first the partners they are going to do business with, starting from their origins, environment and experience in that field. The aim of this research is to determine Sudarno Mahyudin's life history, Sudarno Mahyudin's role as a writer, as well as Sudarno Mahyudin's works and achievements. This research uses a historical approach which includes heuristic, verification, interpretation and historiography stages. This research was conducted in Bagansiapiapi, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province. The results of this research show that Sudarno Mahyudin was born in Bagansiapiapi on September 26 1940. Sudarno Mahyudin started school in 1947 at the Bagansiapiapi People's School and then continued his schooling on the island of Java at Surakarta Middle School in 1953-1956. After completing junior high school, he continued to Surakarta High School in 1956-1960. During high school, Sudarno Mahyudin began to enter the world of literature by filling in the sections for the wall magazine at his school. When he graduated from high school, in 1962 he continued to Gadjah Mada University (UGM) but did not finish in 1965. Thanks to his passion for writing, Sudarno Mahyudin plays a very important role in the world of literature, namely maintaining culture through literature, recalling history in Riau, creating the press media \"Suara Rokan\" in Bagansiapiapi, and creating the \"Spirit Theater Studio\". {"title":"Factors Affecting Profitability in Sharia Business Unit Banks in Indonesia for the 2018-2022 Period","authors":"Elindian Kartika Sari, Zikriatul Ulya","doi":"10.57235/qistina.v3i1.2350","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.57235/qistina.v3i1.2350","url":null,"abstract":"This study aims to look at the effect analysis of Non Performing Financing (NPF), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), and Operating Expenses Operating Income (BOPO) on the profitability of Return On Assets (ROA) of Islamic Business Unit Banks in Indonesia.  In this study using a quantitative approach to secondary data in the form of time series data period 2018-2022.  The population of this study is a Sharia Business Unit Bank registered with the Financial Services Authority.  The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression, namely testing the effect of the independent variable (X) on the dependent variable (Y).  The results of this study indicate that Non Performing Financing (NPF) has no positive effect on ROA profitability with a value of 0.17390.05.  The Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) has a positive effect on ROA profitability with a value of 0.00000.05.  And Operating Expenses Operating Income (BOPO) has a positive effect on ROA profitability with a value of 0.00000.05. In supporting the walkability of the area, it is not only done by beautifying the pedestrian path through the addition of physical accessories, but must be able to fulfill the aspects of usability, safety, accessibility, comfort, and a good environment. In this case, urban structure shows an important and significant factor because it can affect the ease of a person in moving places in urban areas, especially on foot. Urban structure components that affect walkability include land use diversity and road network configuration, which consists of connectivity and integration of the road network. The assessment of land use diversity is done through a derivative of the entropy index, namely weighted land use mixed (WLUM), while the road network configuration is assessed through space syntax. As a result, the Madiun City center corridor has a walkability value in the medium category.
