In the modern world, with the increase in immigrant numbers and the constitution of countries with different cultural diversities, identity issues arise. The researchers discuss the issue of identity in the postcolonial world and how the theorists viewed and presented their ideas about constructing identity in immigrants from these countries who suffered from facing the Diasporas and the dilemma of the difficulty of growing their identity. Furthermore, the paper investigates postcolonial novelists, especially in the novel \"Dark They Were and Golden-Eyed .\"As postcolonial theorists considered the issue of identity as one of its essential discussions, novelists also exposed the conditions of identity crises that emerged in the postcolonial period. Therefore, the method undertakes to apply postcolonial theories to the above novel, Dark They Were and Golden-Eyed. Different aspects and elements of Post Colonialism have been described in the research to explore the Post Colonialism presented in the novel, like ambivalence, racism, otherness, and hybridity.","PeriodicalId":193318,"journal":{"name":"Ascarya: Journal of Islamic Science, Culture, and Social Studies","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125932313","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Da'wah contains two main elements: Amar Ma'ruf (teaching people to do good) and Nahi Munkar (preventing humans from performing wrongdoings). A preacher will face various risks in teaching the people about Amar Ma'ruf Nahi Munkar. Therefore, this study was performed to explain the construction of daʻwah to Umma al-daʻwah by Rasulullah Saw, as mentioned in the content of hadiths in Kutub al-sittah concerning Daʻwah to Umma al-daʻwah. This descriptive qualitative study regarded data from hadith texts. The data were first reduced and analyzed to obtain broad conclusions. Then, data were grouped, categorized, and analyzed by using content analysis method. The hadith texts describe Mohammad Prophet's Daʻwah as promoting monotheism, being gentle, polite, and avoiding wrongdoing; making things easier instead of complicating them; providing good news instead of fear-mongering messages; working collaboratively and avoiding disagreements; and gradually teaching the Sharia.","PeriodicalId":193318,"journal":{"name":"Ascarya: Journal of Islamic Science, Culture, and Social Studies","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128001739","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, research is needed to determine the inhibiting factors and strategies for improving officers' performance. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The research was carried out at the Class IIB Detention Center, Demak. Primary data were collected through interviews and observations with the Informants of the Head of Class IIB Detention Center Demak, the Head of the Detention Center Security Unit, the Head of the Detention Service Sub-Section and the Head of the Management Sub-Section. In comparison, secondary data collects the literature on HRM and employee performance. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, where the data and information obtained will be processed through data reduction, data presentation, and data analysis. The results showed that the factors for the lack of understanding of the HRM function were lack of training and compensation, lack of supporting facilities, increased workload, and decreased motivation and soft skills of correctional officers. Several management process concepts include PDCE (Plan, Do, Check, Evaluate) and PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action). However, the POAC concept is more widely used and applied because it is more suitable for each management level. Therefore, to improve the performance of correctional officers, a unique strategy is needed to be called POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling).","PeriodicalId":193318,"journal":{"name":"Ascarya: Journal of Islamic Science, Culture, and Social Studies","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124393582","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article has narrowed down its focus on the only one enthralling short story by Maugham, namely ''The Kite''. Somerset Maugham and Sigmund Freud's lives intersected in the early years of the twenty-first century. They were both fascinated by human relationships and the building blocks of human bonds. This study was qualitative descriptive. The theory adopted for analyzing the selected text was the Freud approach to the issue as a psychoanalyst and clinician. Simultaneously, Maugham delved deep into the psyche and behavior of human beings he met, watched, and interacted with. Hypocrisy is a trait possessed by the enemies of Islam who want to destroy the glory of Islam from within, even trying to destroy Islamic countries, especially those in the Middle East, where Islam first appeared and spread widely among Arabs. This paper aims to find out the practice of hypocritical behavior that occurs at the country level by using a qualitative method that focuses on a literature approach, That is by collecting data obtained from various references in the form of articles, journals, books and research related to material objects and formal objects which are then analyzed using the conspiracy theory of Robert O Zelency (1987). The result of this research is the double standard political success played by the United States who wants to control the oil fields in Egypt and Syria under the guise of calling for democratization in the government system. America acts as a friend to Egypt in the process of transitioning from authoritarian power to democracy and has been very active in guarding the decline of Hosni Mubarak from his leadership, while in Syria, America has supported opposition groups to overthrow a legitimate government that is considered to be running the government in a dictatorial way. America also provided assistance to opposition groups in the form of weapons to expedite the process of overthrowing Bashar Al-Assad from power. America's double-standard politics towards Egypt and Syria is a project undertaken to realize a larger agenda in the geopolitical national political arena.","PeriodicalId":193318,"journal":{"name":"Ascarya: Journal of Islamic Science, Culture, and Social Studies","volume":"223 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115618611","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even after surveying the English terminology for over 14 years, the plurality of learners arriving from non-elite organizations, need the basic grip in English language skills to maintain their elevated schooling and proficient fields. With this reasoning, the recent investigation concentrated on developing English composition and assignment techniques, and in Karachi private non-elite organizations confronted the difficulties while developing these techniques at the SSC (Secondary School Certificate) level. Qualitative as well as quantitative method has been used. The variety of the investigation included 20 SSC level students, 12 SSC level English language teachers of non-elite private schools, and 5 student notebooks. Characteristics were composed through open-ended votes, committees’ consultations, and tablet examination. Data were examined adopting subjective analysis. The conclusions disclosed that developing English language assignment strategies involve reading the passage aloud, paraphrasing the passage, furnishing the basic suggestion and significance of tough phrases to the students. The prominent difficulties struggled by the instructors in instructing reading skills are learners’ absence of attention in reading, absence of pursuit, and soft reading cognition skills. The investigation also indicated methods of teaching writing skills such as the requirement of standard texts and appropriate terminology sections. The main dilemmas while developing writing skills include a shortage of pre-writing recreations, beginners’ deficient grip over vocabulary, punctuation, grammar, and spelling, voluble syllabus, and restricted time.","PeriodicalId":193318,"journal":{"name":"Ascarya: Journal of Islamic Science, Culture, and Social Studies","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134468899","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
