The paper attempts to figure out the existence state of relationship benefits and their distribution based on relational bonds, we try to build the classification and hierarchical structure model of relationship benefits. First, we explore five basic forms of relationship benefits through in-depth interviews. Second, we established the framework of customers' total perception on relationship benefits-relational bonds-relationship benefits, and proposed the hypothesis. We used SEM to analyze the data collected in the empirical research. The data verified the hypothesis, and we made further discussion on conclusions and pointed out the managerial implications.","PeriodicalId":191638,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2014 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124594180","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Traffic signal control is recognized as one of effective ways to alleviate these problems. However, it is still hard to automatically choose appropriate traffic signal timing plans for different traffic conditions due to the dynamics and uncertainty of transportation systems. In this paper, we propose a latent factor model based traffic signal timing plan recommendation method to address this problem. In the proposed method, we model the abstract traffic states as the “users” in recommendation systems, and timing plans as the “items”. And there are many explicit or implicit factors in the interactions between “users” and “items”. The latent factor model is successfully used to deal with uncertain factors which cannot be modeled accurately in math. The novel method adopted the model-free adaptive idea to solve the problem of modeling from the perspective of data mining and machine learning framework. And, the proposed method is tested by using simulation data generated by a microscopic traffic simulator called Paramics. The results are compared to the baseline Webster method. The results indicate that the proposed latent factor model based recommendation method outperforms the Webster method on reducing the delay.","PeriodicalId":191638,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2014 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics","volume":"203 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127405262","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The nodes in the distributed network have a common objective to estimate parameter vector in a collaborative strategy. Traditional recursive least squares (RLS) estimator is biased in case that both the regressor and the output response are corrupted by stationary additive noise. A real-time estimation algorithm of noise variance is proposed, which nodes get the estimation of objective parameter bias. Based on collaborative strategy, we propose a diffusion bias compensated recursive least-squares algorithm. Simulation results show that the BCRLS algorithm has better estimation accuracy than traditional RLS algorithm, and compared with the local estimators, the diffusion BCRLS algorithm has lower mean square error (MSE).","PeriodicalId":191638,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2014 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122301363","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Actually the status running in previous units has a significant impact on the following operation. In order to analyze the reliability better, this paper develops and demonstrates an extended model G(N,A) for public transportation. To distinguish with the traditional model, the arcs are consisted of two kinds of links: one connects two adjacent stops and other connects the originating stop and any stops. With the popular usage of GPS devices, sufficient GPS data are used to analyze the running time reliability. Two key approaches are proposed to measure running time reliability of the corresponding arcs. According to the running time reliability, the weak road sections in the bus routes can be found and it can also be identified that if this route is able to make a timetable with high reliability. A case study of the 815 bus route connecting the downtown to the suburban areas in Shanghai is provided to illustrate the method.","PeriodicalId":191638,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2014 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125670067","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes to use copula functions for specifying and calibrating a tractable dependence structure for link travel times. Our empirical study indicates that travel time data tend to have a quasi-tail dependence structure, which is inconsistent with those embedded in commonly used copulas. This means that comparing with traditional fields using copula function, such as financial, traffic data demonstrate special features. A new copula function needs to be proposed to model this newly discovered feature.","PeriodicalId":191638,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2014 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126640497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus a resonable and effective emergency response program is critical and important for space launch. First, a Decision Network Planning (DNP) method is proposed to describe logic relations of emergency response procedures, based on which the logical reasonability and rigor, coordination of several involved departments, timeliness of emergency measures and sufficiency of resources guarantee are evaluated. Then, the critical path and resource guaranteed rate are calculated to analyze the degree of control in the emergency process of space launch failure.
