We can use several kinds of mVoIP services on smartphone such as the Supplementary Service registration / release process, coloring, call forwarding, absence guide, three-way calling, and simultaneous receipt. But the smartphone based mVoIP services are vulnerable to security threat because SIP protocol used on mVoIP phones can be easily tampered sending or receiving packets and therefore we can find several problems on sender authentication process. Therefore, we analysis the vulnerability of existing mVoIP based telephony services on smartphone and propose a possible attack on existing mVoIP services.","PeriodicalId":191620,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134280647","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite its success in many industrial applications, the most reliable solutions have thus far been based on an Eigenface approach. The Deformable appearance model, on the other hand, has recently attracted much interest from the Computer Vision research community due to its rather more flexible nature. As such, much effort has been made on enhancing its reliability and efficiency to on par with its renowned counterpart. Emerging ideas have been focusing on including non-linearity on not only facial boundaries but also on its texture elements, so that more realistic facial synthesis can be made. The main contribution of this paper is therefore to build on top of an AAM framework the non-linear facial appearance model with ICA. To this end, experiments on comparing with existing scheme were made, and with their pros and cons discussed. Statistical analyses suggest an optimal configuration, upon which an improved deformable face model may be built.","PeriodicalId":191620,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114834623","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we present how the characteristic of traditional Thai music affects the accuracy of music genre classification. With regards to our experiments, we find that each feature has the capability to be classified differently. The experiments are conducted on 180 excerpt of traditional Thai music. The experimental results of comparisons between 4 models of Diatonic scale and Chromatic scales involve audio features of traditional Thai music instruments. The results include a classification accuracy of traditional Thai music. The chromatic scale can be classified as 90% and the mixolydian mode is the most accurate is 85.8%.","PeriodicalId":191620,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114941066","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed system composes of 4 main processes, i.e., image pre-processing, character segmentation, feature extraction, and character recognition. Buddhadasa Indapanno's handwritten images are improved by contrast adjusting, gray scale converting, and noise removing. Then, the characters in the improved images are segmented using connected component labeling and projection profile. The features of each character are extracted by zoning method. After that, these characters are recognized by feedforward back-propagation neural network. The experimental results show that the proposed method yielded the satisfied results.","PeriodicalId":191620,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121920029","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Rule-based inference engines or rule-based reasoners are used in many domains such as supporting clinical decision support system, e-commerce recommender system, access control mechanism. In order to allow rule reuse and interoperation, several rule languages have been designed for the Web. In this paper, we review and compare some rule languages designed for the Web including FOL-RuleML, SWRL, Notation3, Jena rules and RIF. Some of the comparison criteria include rule expressiveness, syntax, production operations, and built-in functions. In addition, we review and compare some free and public domain rule-based reasoners including Jena inference engine, EYE, OWLIM-lite, BaseVISor and FuXi. Some of the comparison criteria include inference algorithms, supported programming languages, RDFS/OWL reasoning, rule languages and functions. The review and comparison results will provide some guideline for researchers and developers in choosing the rule languages and systems that match the application requirements.","PeriodicalId":191620,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122120043","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Eleventh years of monthly mean surface temperature data at 120 stations located in Thailand have been used for this study. Inverse distance weighting (IDW) and ordinary kriging (OK) were used to interpolate surface temperature. Leave-one-out cross-validation (LOOCV) had been use to analyze the spatial error of interpolated data. The result of a Wilcoxon signed rank test indicated that the performance of ordinary kriging was significantly better (p value = 0.002) than the inverse distance weighting. The summary statistics show interpolation errors of the kriging for monthly mean surface temperature varying within 0.68-0.84.","PeriodicalId":191620,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127100463","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We explore the use of triple storages for query processing in GPUs. From the user query, the SPARQL query is generated by the Middleware Jena. Then, the corresponding triples are searched. The triple search space is large and impossible to load into GPU memory to perform the parallel search. Proper representations are studied to storage data in GPUs for an effective search. We compare the key-value storage in Cassandra and binary triple storage using HDT. The experiments are done using the dataset, DBpedia and Freebase dataset. It is found that HDT compression can compress the data over ten times and the HDT format can be used to store large triples passed through the GPUs. The paper discusses qualitative and quantitative results from both manners. The pros and cons of them can further be combined properly in the further.","PeriodicalId":191620,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127165455","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However it is able to be changed in the future, so that a study regarding heterogeneous CCs which have diverse RBs above 100 on a CC is needed at this moment. To support non-contiguous carrier aggregation (CA) with the these conditions, a heterogeneous joint CC packet scheduling algorithm interacting with a radio resource control (RRC) is considered in this paper. The performance of the joint CC packet scheduling algorithm on heterogeneous CCs with different channel characteristics has been analyzed and compared through computer simulations as well. According to the results, we found that an 800 MHz CC exhibits approximately 4 dB better channel gains than a 2.1 GHz CC. We also obtained a capacity increase of about 15-40% for a joint CC maximum rate (MR) algorithm and about 2-28 % for a joint CC proportional fair (PF) algorithm when the number of users is increased. On the other hand, in a round-robin (RR) scenario, we were unable to notice any differences between the independent CC and joint CC packet scheduling policies. Furthermore, looking at the impacts of different amounts of RBs on 800 MHz + 2.1 GHz CCs, we can conclude that a one-to-one RB ratio with respect to the MR, PF, and RR algorithms has a better performance compared to other cases, and thus, owing to the better channel gain, the smaller the RBs of the 800 MHz CC, the better the performance achieved.","PeriodicalId":191620,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120956852","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem is it takes time to create and design the web pages. Moreover, designing web page templates to satisfy user preference is difficult. In order to reduce time and allow users to interact with the design process, we propose the web application which applies interactive genetic algorithm to generate web page templates and allow users to get involved with the system. The proposed algorithm evolves HTML files for the content and CSS style sheets for a presentation format. Users can rate each section of a web page template according to their preferences. The given scores feed back to the system and the generated template is evolved. The experiments are conducted by assuming user's preferential criteria. We designed score-rules to test the algorithm whether it can create web page templates to satisfy the criteria or not. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can generate web page templates that meet the criteria.","PeriodicalId":191620,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132647449","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper describes my effort to develop a system that automatically generates semantic metadata from large, diverse, and evolving spreadsheet collections. Semantic metadata is known as metadata that describes contextually relevant or domain-specific information about content based on an industry-specific or enterprise-specific custom metadata model. In order to simplify semantic metadata generation problem, spreadsheet collections are categorized by layout similarity. A set of properties and semantic metadata extraction rules of a categorized spreadsheet collection is defined from a sample spreadsheet selected from the spreadsheet collection. Category of a given spreadsheet is justified by checking its properties with the property sets of registered collections. Semantic metadata generation of the given spreadsheet is based on semantic metadata extraction rules of the category to which the spreadsheet belongs. The hierarchical structure of semantic metadata of this paper enables end-users to define the meanings of search keywords. This capability allows end users to search the relevant spreadsheets efficiently.","PeriodicalId":191620,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131388960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
