Interestingly, this wedge widened further as the recovery began, those in high income groups reverted to their original income levels while those in low income groups were left struggling at decreased wages. This paper is an attempt to examine if the post pandemic economic recovery mirrored the existing pattern of inequalities amongst various social groups. The study is based on a case study of a small town in the Raebareli district of Uttar Pradesh, and the data is collected from a primary survey of the migrants who had returned back to their home town in the aftermath of pandemic. Hypothesis tested is that the rate of recovery from pandemic-induced income loss is consistent among similarly skilled workers, regardless of their social group affiliation.The results indicate that the loss of income is not uniform across categories, and that it is more severe in case of vulnerable groups. We argue that if there is no affirmative action, the inequalities will keep reproducing themselves and become more severe after every shock that the economy faces.","PeriodicalId":191546,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Managerial Science","volume":"62 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139169724","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Haridwar, located in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand, has emerged as a vibrant industrial hub, attracting significant investments and witnessing rapid industrialization in recent years. The manufacturing sector in Haridwar encompasses a wide range of industries, including automotive, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, and textiles, among others. The sector’s growth has led to a substantial increase in employment opportunities, attracting a diverse workforce seeking stable livelihoods. While Haridwar’s manufacturing sector development has brought many advantages, it has also produced a number of difficulties for the workers in this fast-paced sector. In order to comprehend the effects on the general well-being, work satisfaction, and future possibilities of the manufacturing sector employees in Haridwar, it is imperative to examine and analyse these difficulties. Every employee is a fortune for their organization, and their skills contribute to its growth. The present research article aims to investigate the problems and prospects faced by manufacturing sector employees in Haridwar. The primary data used in the study was collected from 100 employees (from 20 factories) in the manufacturing sector through a well-structured questionnaire administered by interview. Tools used in the study are Microsoft Office and the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), which are used to interpret the data. Wilcoxon signed-rank test statistics are used to test the hypothesis. The study’s main findings are that male dominance occurred in this sector; most employees graduated and got professional degrees. More than 80% got below 40k as their monthly income, while about 65% were unsatisfied with their current wages. The main problems faced by the employees are poor working conditions, followed by low salaries, a lack of employment security, long working hours, health problems, a lack of social benefit schemes, a lack of medical facilities, a lack of awareness about the government’s welfare schemes, and a lack of transportation to reach their workplace.","PeriodicalId":191546,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Managerial Science","volume":"81 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138956859","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They are such as Banking sector index, Energy sector index, Ceramic sector index, Food sector index, General Insurance sector index, Life Insurance sector index, Cement sector index, Leasing and Finance sector index, Textile sector index, ICT sector index of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE). Data were gathered from the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) website (www.cse.combd) for the time frame of July 2016 to June 2019. From Bangladesh’s central bank website (www.centralbank.combd), the risk-free return (Rf) has been gathered. The study uses year-end closing price and dividend for 92 listed companies. The expected return is measured through Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM), which is developed by William Sharpe (1964). For analysis the data, Mean, percentage, ANOVA, ‘t’ test are used as statistical tools. Descriptive and Regression analysis have been done to find the results. The study is only confined to CSE. So, there is an avenue for further researchers to add Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) in their research project. This approach is applicable to both investors and issuers when exchanging shares of securities on the stock market. The study concludes that the CAPM is not applicable to the 10 distinct sector indices of the CSE because, at a typical level of risk, the gap between expected and actual returns is quite large. Hence, CAPM was tested separately for each year of the five years period and the results in the mentioned tables did not support the CAPM applicability.","PeriodicalId":191546,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Managerial Science","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125700882","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this research study is to identify the factors which contribute most to customer satisfaction. This research is supported by Likert scale questionnaires which are distributed to 200 respondents who visited the store, and it is regarded as primary data. Secondary data were collected from published books, various published articles, and websites. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics as well as exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. IBM SPSS 23 was used for data analysis, and the relatively important index is evaluated using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word 2016. Results obtained from the analysis exhibit 66% of buyers are pleased, and 34% of buyers are displeased with the services offered by the chosen retail store. By means of factor analysis, six underlying factors that increase client happiness greatly were found and defined as: Shopping Tendency, Ease of Shopping, Marketing Strategy, Demographic Factor, Competitive Excellence, and Shop Management. Regression analysis was performed, and it was observed that except for “Shopping Tendency” and “Marketing Strategy”, all other factors have a greater influence on “Overall Customer Satisfaction.","PeriodicalId":191546,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Managerial Science","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116369528","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is true that such a change forced by a black swan effect has created ambivalence as a result of which hurried and uncompromising makeover in the economic sector emerged which was relatable in the purchasing power of the people. Antediluvian scan of literature indicates that analysis of a topic of this nature has not been attempted whereas there have been numerous contributions on inflation. Studies carried out on efficacy of altering the Repo rates world all over leads us to the important point that aspirations of neither the industry nor the people are met because of the apocryphal attitude of major players such as administrative machinery and financial policy think-tanks. With inflationary trends the disparity has been widening disproportionately. Attempting to negate the inflationary trend without attempting to rectify the fiscal deficit issue is like a fish out of water having very less chance of surviving. Thus, it was found that such a study would be not only enriching and useful but also interesting giving approbation to inflationary trends which are coming too often in the present world. The time needed to wait in the queue makes the service receiver dissatisfied. To minimize the waiting time and improve the utilization rate, simulation-based analysis is a well-established technique. The objective of the current research is to investigate the current scenario of the service mechanism of the selected bank and suggest the best possible configuration for improving the service level. The research is based on a case study in which the operations of a specific bank were observed. A conceptual model of the studied bank has been developed first. It helps to realize how the entities move through the system. Then, an arena model was built according to the conceptual model following the collection and distribution of field data (arrival time, delay time at the aisle, and service time) via an input analyzer. The suggested model shows progressregardingthe average server utilization rate and waiting time customers spend in the queue. The proposed model shows a 30% improvement in waiting time and a 40% improvement in service time, or value-added time.","PeriodicalId":191546,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Managerial Science","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132135989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Often we call each this contact as moments of truth. It is quite true that each of these moments of truth need the qualification as a satisfying one for enhancing the customer prospects. At times it may be possible that these encounters which turn out to be not satisfying leaves a void between the customer and the service provider. To obviate widening of such a gap service provider undertakes the process of service recovery. Cycle of service would be satisfying when the moments of truth become acceptable. Unexpected failures in service encounter would be seen from the point of frequent bottle necks or the waiting lines. Waiting line is generally seen when more than one customer wait for a service. So, if we understand in economics it is a case of imbalance between demand and supply or we say demand for service and the capacity of the service provider to satisfy the customer within the acceptable time. Service provider can influence the acceptable time by various methods. Waiting line is definitely related to the arrival rate, so the point in consideration is variability. E-commerce has taken a step in support of reducing the waiting line in certain cases of services. In this paper analysis is being carried out to understand the impact of waiting lines in service encounter.
