The study was conducted at room and elevated temperatures of 313, 323, 333 and 343K. The test period was varied from 24 to 168hrs at 24hrs interval, at room temperature and 3 hours at each elevated temperature. The experiments were performed with inhibitor concentrations of 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 g/L. The results showed that the corrosion rates increased with time of immersion in the absence of inhibitor but decreased with inhibitor concentration at room and elevated temperature, while inhibition efficiency increased with increase in inhibitor concentration at room temperature but decreased with temperature rise. .Inhibition efficiency of 80 % for leaves extracts was achieved at 0.5 g/L at room temperature but decreased to 66.67 % at 0.5 g/L and temperature of 343K implying desorption of inhibitor at higher temperature. Potentiodynamic polarization method was used to see the influence of the extracts on the anodic dissolution of mild steel. The results showed that the extracts acted as mixed type inhibitor by moderating both the anodic and cathodic reactions and remarkably lowered corrosion rates from 10.889 to 0.365 mm/yr. The absorption of the extracts on the metal surface obeyed Langmuir and Temkin isotherms. The thermodynamic parameters evaluated gave negative values of ∆G°ads in the range of -21.35 to – 22.82 kJ/mol. which is less than 40 kJ/mol indicating physical absorption of the extracts on the metal surface. The increasing values of Ea (kJ/mol) from 24.21 to 47.88 kJ/mol also confirms that absorption is by physisorption mechanism.

However, theoretical and practical research findings have shown that when analyzing the risk management in the mining industry, it is important to consider not just the human component but also the business process and productivity strategy of related organization. Through the application of qualitative research, this study then intends to gather any useful information through both primary and secondary data sources, such as the interviews and/or acquire the information, which is related to the experience of the participants as the unit of analysis and their viewpoints as well as behavior. Instead of addressing how many or how much, a qualitative research method addresses on the how and why of the research question. As such, this study aims to explain the analysis of the existing business processes of PT Antam Tbk and then re-evaluate if there is any factor that is inefficient and ineffective so that the input from employee affects eventually the employee productivity. As such, this study recommends to apply the strength, weakness, opportunity, threat (SWOT) analysis in order to explain in detail the business process of PT Antam Tbk. Through such analysis abovementioned, this study is assisted to offer both theoretical and managerial contribution. For theoretical contribution, this study mainly aims to deliver a strategy to optimize the business processes better that eventually may increase significantly the value of PT Antam Tbk, especially the employee productivity. Additionally, this study also offers in the particular sections the managerial implications of this study findings.

This work aims to produce bioethanol from rice husk using a clay catalyst. Using proximate analysis and elemental analysis, rice husk was characterised in order to identify its composition. Response Surface Methodology (RSM), based on Central Composite Rotatable Design (CCRD), was used with design expert software to statistically optimise the process conditions. The maximum glucose yield of 22.18%, 20.58%, and 20.02% was realized when hydrolysis of rice husk was carried out with NaOH, thermal, and HCl treated clay, respectively. The numerical optimization with CCRD to maximize sugar yield gave 19.32% at 53.73 mins for alkaline treated clay and 16.76% at 46.48 mins for acid treated clay. Based on the findings of this research, alkaline treatment of clay for the hydrolysis of rice husk has demonstrated to produce the maximum glucose production when compared to acid and thermal treatment of clay.

The ectoparasite in this disease is the Aedes aegypti mosquito which acts as a vector. Aedes aegypti is a type of mosquito that can carry the dengue virus that causes dengue fever. The symptoms of this disease are rarely noticed and can spread quickly. In addition, this disease also attacks all ages and can cause death. Cymbopogon nardus (L.) Rendle is an aromatic grass from the Poaceae family that produces essential oil mainly in the leaves. The essential oil from C. nardus is known as citronella oil has repellent activity. To determine the effect of citronella powder (Cymbopogon nardus) as activated charcoal packaged in bags for controlling Aedes aegypti in bathroom tubs. This study is an experimental posttest-only control group design consisting of a control group and a treatment group using activated charcoal from lemongrass at a concentration of 1%, 2%, and 2.5%, which was treated on Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae instar III five times test. Data analysis used the One-way Anova Statistical Product and Solutions (SPSS) Version 26 test. The results showed the effect of citronella powder (Cymbopogon nardus) as activated charcoal on the mortality of the third instar Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae. This is indicated by the p-value of 0.197. The high concentration of activated charcoal from lemongrass powder determines the high mortality of third instar Aedes aegypti larvae. This is indicated by the significant difference between the concentration treatments. For further research, an increase in the concentration of activated charcoal is needed to increase larval mortality.

A total of 210 copies of questionnaire was administered among 20 haulage companies and the retrieved questionnaire were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics such as frequency counts, percentage and spearman rank. The findings revealed that haulage drivers hardly ever involve in violations such as “pull out of a junction so far that the driver with the right of way has to stop and let you out” (41.4%), “stay in a motorway lane that you know will be closed ahead until the last minute before forcing your way into the other lane” (67.6%) and never disregarded the speed limit on a residential road (70.7%); however, they occasionally drive so close to the car in front that it would be difficult to stop in an emergency (51.0%). From the spearman rank analysis, it was revealed that there is a statistically significant relationship between the Risk Perception Index (RP_Index) and Ordinary Violation (OV_index) (where p-value < 0.05 and p = 0.000). The correlation coefficient (r) of the analysis showed that the relationship between RV_Index and AV_index is weak and positively correlated (were r = 0.256). It was concluded that the extent of risk perception by the haulage drivers have significant relationship with their violation behaviour, and such relationship tends to be weak and positive.

The study State was divided into three clusters and two hotels were randomly selected in each of the cluster. A field observation was undertaken to assess the level of compliance with standard guidelines on hygiene and safety measures, examining the equipment used in food preparations and safety measures. The food handlers in the selected hotels were randomly selected while visitors were purposively selected based on their willingness to participate in the study. A well-designed questionnaire was utilized to gather information from both tourists and food handlers. Microbial laboratory analysis was carried out on the collected food samples. The perceptions of the customers on the cleanliness and hygiene examined using a set of ten indicators revealed that customers had positive and good perception of the hotels’ environment (weighted mean =4.51 to 4.92). The results revealed that on the average the food handlers observed most of the itemized practices (weighted mean= 3.28 to 4.0). The viable count (TVC)/ Total viable bacteria count (cfu/g) ranged between (4-1)×103cfu/g. Though, the selected hotels adhered to food safety and hygiene practices, there is need to maintain and sustain this high level of performance by the relevant stakeholders.

This study sought to assess the awareness of basic school teachers on noise pollution, the sources of noise they encounter on the school environments as well as their suggestions on how to control or manage such noises. In order to evaluate the awareness, causes, and control of noise pollution in the basic schools, a set of questionnaires was used. Questionnaires were reviewed to make sure they were correctly filled out and to ensure internal consistency. The teachers were randomly selected for the study. Descriptive statistics was presented as frequencies and percentages for categorical variables. Data analysed was presented in figures and tables. Control measures were reported. Female teachers (n=147) greater than the males (n=129) participated in the study. Majority of the respondents (n=134, n=113) had taught for 0-5 years and fell within the age range of 30-39 years respectiviely. The teachers were aware of noise pollution with key sources of noise from students’ activities (65.2%) and vehicles (56.2%). Primarily, the teachers asked for continuous education on noise pollution and its many challenges. This research project explores if a process combination of centrifugation, flocculation and filtration could increase the treatment capability of a wastewater treatment plant. \u0000For all wastewater samples the first process step of centrifugation decreased the total solids content by 23.5%, the chemical oxygen demand between 5.0% and 30.0%, and the total phosphorus content by 20.7% and 32.1% in the supernatant. \u0000Flocculation with Ca(OH)2, FeCl3 and Al2(SO4)3 followed by centrifugation increases the solids content of the supernatant, but decreased the chemical oxygen demand and total phosphorus content of up to 55.0% and 95% respectively. Filtration increased the total removal of chemical oxygen demand up to 70% and total removal of phosphorus to 96.4%. \u0000The best removal process for Total phosphorus was achieved using Ca(OH)2 as a flocculant due to a precipitation process that forms calcium phosphate Ca(PO4)2. \u0000Based on the results a maximum removal rate for chemical oxygen demand of and total phosphorus of 70% and 96.4% respectively could be achieved, which could make future wastewater treatment more effective.
