The purpose of this study is to give the initial findings of customer relationship management. Little research exists in this sphere concerning the banking sector. The sample size is 30 customers of a local privatized bank in Karachi, as it is the hub of financial activities in Pakistan. The survey is adopted from Lu and Shang's work with few changes. This study will analyze whether the instrument is reliable or not. Cronbach's alpha value has been found to evaluate the reliability and internal consistency of the instrument. In this study, the levels of agreements and disagreements have been used to conclude the respective instrument's validity.","PeriodicalId":190605,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Human Resources Management and Organizational Development","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132951578","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In contrast, spirituality is an individual practice with the aim of mindfulness and having a sense of peace and purpose. This research aims to investigate the influence of religion and spirituality on organizational behavior in organizations in Bahrain specifically with regard to managing individuals in Bahrain. A sample of 46 valid responses was reached due to the sensitivity of the topic. Nationality was found to have a statistically significant effect on ‘behavior-based religion'. Principal component analysis found two distinctive factors among the religion values indicators being referred to as ‘behavior-based religion' and ‘belief of religion'.","PeriodicalId":190605,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Human Resources Management and Organizational Development","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130290642","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The combination of both traditional hierarchical and network structure has been used in this chapter as a practical framework to foster hospitality firms' corporate culture in triggering a virtuous cycle of growth. It also provides an operational insight into the opening question of how the organization as networks could be nimble, swift, and creative enough to grab opportunities at the social and digital interface. For this purpose, development of digital capabilities is one of the most critical needs for most leaders, from both customer and employee perspectives. An integrated corporate entrepreneurship attribute is also presented in a well-connected organizational structure that further provides various digital HR solutions of how to design tri-dimensional value propositions with real-time decision-making capability.","PeriodicalId":190605,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Human Resources Management and Organizational Development","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123251349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of these is the steady erosion of employee privacy. Whilst employee performance has frequently been the object of scrutiny, the increasing number of organizations that monitor employees through advanced digital technologies has added a dystopian edge to existing employee privacy concerns, particularly as many employees are unable to exercise choice in relation to use of these technologies. If unaddressed, their concerns have potential to impact the psychological contract between employee and employer, resulting in loss of employee trust, negative attitudes, and counterproductive work behaviors. This chapter outlines some of the emerging issues relating to use of employee monitoring technologies. It summarizes both management rationale for monitoring as well as employee privacy concerns and proposes an ethical framework that is useful for balancing these differing perspectives.","PeriodicalId":190605,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Human Resources Management and Organizational Development","volume":"175 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121430882","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The situation has exponentially increased the use of online platforms in every aspect. Work-from-home has become more prominent, more widespread, and a routine of life rather than the exception. Within this context, drawing support from the conservation of resources theory, a conceptual framework is proposed to list the various factors affecting the psychological capital (PsyCap) which in turn impacts overall life satisfaction. The model is empirically validated with data from the Indian working population using structural equation modeling. Specifically, it was observed that remote abusive supervision, family demands, and work demands negatively influence PsyCap. Simultaneously, social support from work and family (colleague, team, partner/spouse, and parent) positively influences PsyCap. PsyCap, in turn, influences their overall life satisfaction. Psychological detachment negatively moderates the relationship between remote abusive supervision and PsyCap. Implications and future scope of research are also highlighted.","PeriodicalId":190605,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Human Resources Management and Organizational Development","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126317444","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This can shed light on evaluation of organizational outcomes. The evaluation can assist in deciding changes required. This chapter investigates organizational behaviour models. The investigation aims to develop a better comprehension of human behaviour. The chapter examines the most reviewed organizational behaviour models. These models are the human relation, the system perspective, productivity perspective, the human resource approach, the contingency approach, and finally, the situation approach. These models are argued to be elementalistic. The elementalism leads to perceive humans and their behaviour in a partial manner. The Aristotelian structure of language underpinning Indo-European languages upholds such elementalism. The structure is built on three laws. These are “is” of identity, two value orientation, and excluding middle stance. The chapter presents some principles of Islam to transform organizational behaviour models. The model enriched by Islam is argued to be in flux.","PeriodicalId":190605,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Human Resources Management and Organizational Development","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114192580","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The vehicles must be loaded with the products located in the warehouse to fulfill the orders requested by customers. Many enterprises use order batching and picking systems to improve the warehouse management. This chapter describes a novel algorithm based on the methodology of variable neighborhood search for the variable cost and size bin packing problem. This problem considers that the sizes and costs of the bins can be different and there is no correlation between them, which is a sensible assumption for the order batching process in many applications. A series of computational experiments were conducted with a set of hard instances to validate this approach. The results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the state-of-the-art algorithm, and a statistical hypothesis test is used to support the obtained conclusions.","PeriodicalId":190605,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Human Resources Management and Organizational Development","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131386866","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
