The 3D modeling technology of craniofacial implants based on mechanical topology optimization method was proposed to solve this problem. According to the range of the defective region and the key structure of anatomy in the 3D craniofacial skeleton, the parametric optimization modeling was firstly carried out. Then, by analyzing actual load bearing which is mainly from masticatory stresses, the load and boundary conditions were applied to the object to optimize. And for the optimized results, the finite element analysis software Abaqus6.14 was used for mechanical analysis. In this paper, In this paper, compared with the traditional modeling approach, the implants designed by topology optimization modeling method of two typical types of patients with the craniofacial defects proved not only had advantages of good mechanical performance, but also achieved the lightweight structure of 23% of volume decrease, which provided a new idea for the development of craniofacial surgery.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126346068","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we present a hole filling method based on feature lines, including the hole boundary lines, ridge lines and valley lines. First, the feature lines are extracted and used to generate a series of curves. Then the control points sequence is obtained by fitting these curves. Finally, the NURBS surface is fitted by control points sequence to fill the hole. The obtained results show that our method can preserve the initial shape characteristics of hole.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127838185","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Additionally, a weighted K-means algorithm is presented, which is more appropriate for the analysis of scalar field clustering. The improved algorithm has better clustering results on the scalar field, which are more consistent with the physical laws by comparison. Ultimately, the algorithm is put in use for the CFD calculation. The number of iterations is decreased and the convergence speed is accelerated after the clustering algorithm is adopted for better initial condition.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122442814","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The key idea is: using human geometric model database and human motion database to establish geometric priors and pose prior model; when given the geometric prior, pose prior and a standard template geometry model, the individual human body model and its embedded skeleton can be estimated from the 3D point cloud captured from multiple depth cameras. Because of the introduction of the global prior model of body pose and shapes into a unified nonlinear optimization problem, the accuracy of geometric model estimation is significantly improved. The experiments on the synthesized data set with noise or without noise and the real data set captured from multiple depth cameras show that estimation result of our method is more reasonable and accurate than the classical method, and our method is better noise-immunity. The proposed new individual 3D geometric model estimation method is suitable for online realtime human motion tracking system.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"335 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115397831","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents the design, instructions and ratings of a novel Affective Virtual Reality System (AVRS), which includes a large set of emotionally-evocative VR scenes and their affective ratings. It can provide more objective and direct affective stimuli of basic emotions (happiness, sadness, fear, relaxation, disgust, and rage) by shielding the environmental interferences. In this study, affective VR scenes have been designed by using various standard affective picture, video and audio materials as references. To assess the three dimensional emotion indices of valence, arousal and dominance, each scene of the system is rated and standardized by Self-Assessment Mainikin. AVRS is the first released VR version affect stimuli materials, which sets a precedent for future interdisciplinary work bridging the gap between VR and cognitive psychology.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126702714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, an algorithm is proposed to obtain angle change data of finger joints by means of data glove, and then the process of dynamic gesture recognition is carried out by fitting the data to curves and calculating the Hausdorff distance between them. The experimental results show that the recognition rate of the method can reach 98% when the number of gesture categories are ten. The algorithm has low computational complexity and high efficiency, which can guarantee the correctness and robustness of gesture recognition.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121616796","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We introduce the concept of motion map to represent the prefix of video sequences by optimizing the recognition accuracy of original video. 3-dimensional convolution (3Dconv) based model is used to generate the new motion map by integrating current motion map and future video frame. This model is capable of increasing the length of training video in iterative manner and allow us to generate the final motion map. Experimental evaluation results on widely used datasets i.e HMDB51 and UCF101 have revealed effectiveness and flexibility of proposed method over other baseline schemes.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116833003","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
