In the first part of the work, alternative strategies of monopolists in case of the appearance of potential competitors are considered: the Sylos model of optimal price to prevent the access of competitors to monopolistic markets and the model of Worcester hypothesis of independent profit maximization in monopoly. The second part presents the model modifications of the long-term profit maximization in the market of differentiated products, i.e. the markets of monopoly competition because of including the so-called promotion costs in the enterprise model of supply optimization.","PeriodicalId":187088,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE 11th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116405614","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The system is suitable for behavioral analysis of larger free-roaming animals. The wireless sensor is mounted on a collar and transmits the accelerometric data to the PC logging application. The received data can be recorded fully or partially by segmenting the events upon derivative threshold crossing or manual triggering. Furthermore, a segmentation method is proposed based on periodicity extraction from the selected axis data. The segmented data chunks can be introduced to machine learning algorithms (Artificial Neural Networks, Hidden Markov Models or Support Vector Machines) for further classification.","PeriodicalId":187088,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE 11th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"259 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125798447","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The system is able to classify the risk and quantifies its effect on an investment based on sentiment analysis, certain characteristics and the traders level of confidence. It also uses an ontology to describe the markets status and expectations based on future events (text features) and to determine the relationship and correlation between news articles. The system also verifies the effect of a similar percentage of positive and negative news articles, and which of this information will influence more the stock price movement and trend. We proposed a multi-agent system that uses text mining, ontology, sentiment analysis, trust and risk models in order to choose the appropriate mix of investments to minimize the risk and maximize the gain on a stock portfolio. A prototype was developed on which we validated our research.","PeriodicalId":187088,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE 11th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129600325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The generated source code does not have its functional implementation, so besides MDD, it is necessary to create some additional tools that will fulfill this gap. This paper describes a design of a system for automatic model development and automatic source code generation that transforms specification into the product implementation. Specification contains data necessary for the implementation of GUI controls. Controls are integrated as a part of an Eclipse based IDE. To reduce the amount of source code that needs to be generated, reflection API Java feature is used. Reflection API is also used for developing JUnit Java tests, that verify the reliability of generated source code. Using the proposed algorithm 1960 GUI controls and 3920 JUnit tests are generated. Based on this approach it is estimated that time-to-market is reduced four and a half months and quality of source code is increased significantly, lowering the total cost of developing and maintaining application.","PeriodicalId":187088,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE 11th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132076609","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These targeted therapies can be more efficient than commonly applied methods in clinical practice. Antiangiogenic therapy prevents tumors from forming new blood vessels to ensure sufficient oxygen and nutrients. Without appropriate vascularization, the development of the tumor is inhibited, thus metastasis formation is blocked. In this paper we briefly review the importance of antiangiogenic therapy. To improve mathematical models of tumor growth under angiogenic inhibitors, the process of tumor development must be analyzed. We have chosen Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to follow up the dynamics of tumor growth and monitor the effect of angiogenic inhibitors. T1-weighted images have been acquired using gradient-echo, spin echo and fast spin echo sequences to examine subcutaneous mouse tumors. We have found that fast spin echo results the best solution: short data acquisition time and good contrast without contrast agent.","PeriodicalId":187088,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE 11th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128113924","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Standard AOP frameworks are popular choice for development of instrumentation for Java software monitoring tools. Inevitable consequence of using these tools is the occurrence of performance overhead. The code they generate is guaranteed to be correct, but always has a slight overhead. On the other hand, if a low-level bytecode manipulation tools are chosen, they may have better performance, but development time is higher and code may not be correct. The paper demonstrates the use of a new framework that allows instrumentation of Java code using AOP-like syntax, but has less overhead than industry standard AOP tools. Already developed monitoring tool has been implemented using this new framework, with better results.","PeriodicalId":187088,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE 11th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122992366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
