The smectic-isotropic phase transition is a phase change from the liquid crystal to the liquid phase. In this work, we use a mobile 6-state Potts model to study the nature of the smectic-isotropic phase transition. Microscopic interactions between neighbouring molecules in this model are supplemented with the Lennard-Jones potential. This study applies Monte Carlo simulation with the Wang-Landau algorithm to determine the characteristics of smectic-isotropic phase transitions. It is shown clearly that the smectic phase goes to the isotropic phase and undergoes a first-order transition. The results also point out that when the temperature increases, molecules on the surface are orientationally disordered, then the molecules gradually lose their positional order. The groups of plant-parasitic nematodes that have been published parasitising orchids show that the stem and leaf nematode group and the root nematode group are all present and cause direct damage to this orchid genus. Besides, plant-parasitic nematodes are also one of the vectors for other pests to invade and cause quality damage to commercial orchids. Therefore, this study was carried out with the goal of initially identifying the main nematode species that parasitises Paphiopedilum appletonianum (Gower) Rolfe 1896 collected in Ba Na natural forest (Da Nang) to serve for prevention of plant diseases in the conservation of this orchid species. As a result, for the first time, 12 species of plant-parasitic nematodes associated with Paphiopedilum appletonianum in Vietnam have been recorded. The HSP70 gene family is thought to play an important role in plant tolerance to various environmental factors. A family member known as HSC70 is predicted to be involved in plant growth and development, however, its biological functions have not been demonstrated clearly. This study was conducted with the aim to characterise the HSC70 gene in tomato plants and evaluate its contribution to tomato growth through phenotypic analysis of plant mutants with defects in the HSC70 gene. The research results showed that nonsense mutationin the HSC70 gene caused short plant and reduced the seed germination rate and fruit set rate of tomato. However, these missense mutations did not change these phenotypes significantly. The leaf shape, leaf structure, and flowering time of tomato were not affected by the HSC70 mutations. Research subject and method: The study was carried out on 222 HIV-infected adolescents who met the research criteria to visit the Outpatient Clinic of the Vietnam National Children’s Hospital in 2022-2023 by cross-sectional descriptive research method. Results: The treatment adherence rate of adolescents accounted for 84.2%. Some factors affecting adherence to ARV treatment of HIV-infected adolescents include: children who attended counselling classes at the clinic were 2.32 times more compliant than children who did not (p<0.05); educated children with the same level of education as the age group of ARVs are 3.46 times higher than the age group with no education equivalent to the age group (CI95% 1.39-8.57, X2=7.87, p=0); children whose HIV status was fully disclosed at 10-12 years of age had higher adherence rates than children whose HIV status was revealed at other time points, this result is statistically significant (X2=10.5, p<0.05); the primary caregivers participating in the study who knew well about HIV/AIDS helped children to adhere to ARV treatment higher than those whose primary caregivers lacked knowledge about HIV/AIDS, this result is statistically significant (X2=6.5, p<0.05). Conclusion: The ARV adherence rate of adolescents accounts for 84.2%, this rate is not high. The results showed that MS medium supplemented with 1.0 mg/l BA was suitable for the rapid multiplication stage, with the rate of shoot proliferation being 2.73 times, the shoots being 5.38 cm in height and the number of leaves/shoot was 4.33 after 6 weeks of culture. In the next stage, in vitro shoots were transferred to MS medium containing 0.25 mg/l IBA for rooting. Within five weeks of culture, 100% of shoots induced roots with a mean of 3.9 roots/plant and the root length was 11.04 cm. In the acclimatisation phase, plantlets achieved 100% ex vitro survival, increased by 2.19 cm in height and 1.96 leaves after four-week acclimatisation in a substrate composed of peatmoss:soil:coconut husk (1:1:1). Methodology: This is a retrospective case series implemented at the Gastrointestinal Department, Hanoi Medical University Hospital between January 2015 and August 2022, including 71 patients with achalasia who underwent laparoscopic Heller-Toupet. Results: 52.1% of patients in the study are male (more than female 47.9%). The average age of the cohort was 44.9±13.9 years. The incidence of dysphagia was 100%. Most patients report esophageal dilatation grade II (76.1%) and disease severity stage I (57.7%). The mean muscle opening length was 7.4±1.3 cm, the operative time was 135±25 minutes. There was no conversion, no intra-and postoperative adverse events. Long-term outcomes: good (no or very mild dysphagia) was 90.1%, moderate (moderate dysphagia) was 9.9% and clinical incidence of reflux syndrome was 17%. There was no case requiring intervention or re-operation. Due to the subtle clinical manifestations and diverse causes of the disease, it is easy to be missed or diagnosed late. This study describes clinical and paraclinical characteristics, with the aim to find signs suggesting early diagnosis as well as determine the cause of DAH in children. Objects and methods: Case series. Results: From January 2018 to March 2023, there were 14 children diagnosed with DAH. The age of onset is 4.08 (1.58-5.41) years old, but most patients are diagnosed late with age at diagnosis being 5.25 (1.67-6.16) years old, male/female ratio is 1:1.8. The most common symptoms reported were anaemia (100%), hemoptysis (57.1%), shortness of breath (71.4%), and respiratory failure (85.7%). The common X-ray finding was diffuse infiltrates in both lungs (92.9%). The extracellular framework simulates the biological properties of organism-based ECM. The ECM of the skin’s dermis is a natural material, containing ingredients ideal for creating products that help tissue heal. This study focuses on the production of gel products from human skin ECM. The skin ECM is gelled by dissolving in a pepsin enzyme solution.Method: 3D gel formation process using neutral enzyme solution and incubation under physiological conditions. Gel samples were evaluated for speed and formability. Additionally, the dermal gel preparation was evaluated for its effects on the survival and proliferation of human fibroblasts in vitro by toxicity testing and proliferation testing, for 10 days. Results: Direct and extract toxicity assessments showed that the ECM gel regimen was safe for fibroblast survival. There were 7 analysed and evaluated water environment parameters, including water temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), salinity, pH, alkalinity, chemical oxygen demand (COD), nitrite (N-NO2), with monitoring frequency of 2 times/month, 10 months/year at 13 monitoring locations for brackish water shrimp farming in 6 provinces: Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Thua Thien Hue. Water temperature was low at the beginning of the year, gradually increased to the highest level in June, then gradually decreased to the end of the year. The temperature fluctuated strongly at the beginning and end of the year and tended to increase gradually from the North to the South. DO tended to decrease from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. Salinity was lower in the rainy season, especially in Nghe An and Quang Tri, compared to the others. The pH and alkalinity levels were suitable for brackish shrimp farming. Subjects and methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 60 acute bronchitis patients from April to December 2021. Eligible patients included in the study were carried out with clinical examination, blood test, and chest X-ray. Results: The mean age in the study was 66.78±18.33 years old; the patients over 70 years old are 56.67%; the female/male ratio is 1/1.03; 21.70% of patients had smoking tobacco and pipe tobacco. Cough, thick sticky yellow sputum difficult to expectorate, and crackles were common symptoms in all patients in this study. Fever, dyspnea, and chest pain while coughing accounted for 63.30, 28.33, and 46.67%. Most of the patients had a red tongue, yellow tongue moss, and float fast pulse. Peripheral blood tests showed that increased amount of leukocytes, mainly in neutrophils.
