As the number of terms becomes very high, it is greatly time-consuming to perform existed text categorization tasks. In this paper we presented a novel text representation model for text classification which greatly reduced the required resources. This model represents text with several features. Each feature corresponds to a theme that emerged from a set of related articles. We also introduce an efficient way to build the model. The proposed model has been applied to naive bayes classifier and experiments on Reuters-21578 corpus have shown that the efficiency is greatly improved without sacrificing classification accuracy even when the dimension of the input space is significantly reduced.","PeriodicalId":185739,"journal":{"name":"2008 First International Conference on Intelligent Networks and Intelligent Systems","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125772474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Car Navigation Systems are sometimes offered as a special feature on new cars. These systems are capable of performing some of the tasks traditionally performed by driver, such as determining the best route to the destination. This process of finding shortest path from one point to another, is called routing. In this paper, a new shortest path algorithm is proposed. The suggested algorithm is a modified version of dijkstra, which states that search space is restricted by the use of a rectangle or a static and dynamic hexagon. These methods can improve run times and usaged memory because the visited nodes and edges are limited. In order to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, it is tested on the city map of Arak and Tehran. Following, this result is compared to the result obtained with dijkstra's algorithm.","PeriodicalId":185739,"journal":{"name":"2008 First International Conference on Intelligent Networks and Intelligent Systems","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129787523","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Motivated by GIST features, images are represented by the mean values of adjacent and non-overlapped blocks of the Gabor filters response. Beyond that, our methods give those values different weights on different spatial and scale sites. The spatial weights are obtained adaptively by counting the ratio and significance of edges detected in the blocks. The scale weights obey the Gaussian distribution with special parameters toward given image datasets. Thus, the prominent identity of each block of filtering response can be reflected adaptively. A retrieval scheme experiment is carried on the Brodatz and SAR image datasets. The results reveal our algorithmpsilas efficient performances and superiorities.","PeriodicalId":185739,"journal":{"name":"2008 First International Conference on Intelligent Networks and Intelligent Systems","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126956841","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The parallelization reduces the storage problems caused by storing the filter point. The limited memory BFGS method is employed to obtain the Hessian approximation in the quadratic model of the trust region methods, which often yields a dramatic reduction in the number of function and gradient evaluation. As the special structure of the partially separable functions, each processor has to solve the subproblem in a lower dimensional subspace. The design steps and learning algorithm are also addressed. Since SVR have greater generalization ability and guarantee global minima for given training data, it is believed that SVR will perform well for time series for machining errors. A typical machining process of cutting bearing outer race is carried out and the real measured data are used to contrast experiment. The experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of applying SVR in machining errors prediction and prove that SVR is applicable and performs well for small-batch machining process analysis.","PeriodicalId":185739,"journal":{"name":"2008 First International Conference on Intelligent Networks and Intelligent Systems","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125555661","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to envoy packet transmission, DSR-LS utilizes RTS/DATA or CTS/ACK embedded with link switch request or reply option to find a new link in one-hop range of the node at the time of detecting a link breakage trend. New link information is not sent to the source node of the route until an error happens on the path, which evidently decreases the route control overhead. By this local link switch, DSR-LS improves lifetime of the route and decreases extra route overhead caused by link interruption at the cost of increasing MAC overhead a little. Finally, results show that DSR-LS effectively enhances the performance of DSR protocol in mobile Ad Hoc network by increasing packet delivery fraction and decreasing route overhead.","PeriodicalId":185739,"journal":{"name":"2008 First International Conference on Intelligent Networks and Intelligent Systems","volume":"140 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125261823","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It performs all operations in a programmable microprocessor thus makes the system highly flexible. In a GPS software receiver this flexibility is very useful not only when different algorithms should be tested, but also in case where the GPS signals change. In this paper an embedded GPS L1 C/A code software receiver which has been implemented on a TMS320C6713 DSP is reported. The high speed transmission between the radio frequency front end and the TMS320C6713 is presented. Efficient acquisition and robust tracking loops algorithms for this GPS software receiver are analyzed. The experimental results prove the high reliability of the receiver. The convenience of upgrading software suit the GPS software receiver to the development of algorithms. Existing solutions are based on public-key cryptosystem. The main concerns in a public-key cryptosystem include authenticity of the public key and lack of efficiency. A trusted third party is also involved in a public-key environment. This paper proposed an efficient one-way hash function based user-to-user authentication scheme with smart card in peer-to-peer system. In the proposed scheme, the system and peers do not have to maintain verification tables, and a trusted third party is not needed in the run time. The proposed scheme achieves mutual authentication at very low computational cost, but also provides good security strength.","PeriodicalId":185739,"journal":{"name":"2008 First International Conference on Intelligent Networks and Intelligent Systems","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134350990","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
