Feminist karşı sinema ise, geleneksel anlatı sinemasının yararlandığı teknik ve biçimleri açığa çıkararak kadının kadın olarak sunulduğu yeni bir sinema dilinin var olduğunu göstermektedir. Fransız Yeni Dalga akımının tek kadın yönetmeni olan Agnes Varda feminist hareketten etkilenerek yarattığı yenilikçi sinema dili ile kadının sinemadaki temsilini değiştirmeyi hedeflemiş ve izleyiciye özne konumu kazanan kadın karakterler sunmuştur. Kolektif hafıza belirli bir bağlamda oluşur. Bu bağlamın boyutlarından biri de toplumsal cinsiyet ilişkileridir. Sinema toplumun dinamiklerini resmederken bireysel ve toplumsal bellek inşasında etkili bir rol oynar. Dil, müzik, kurgu ve anlatı yapısı bu inşanın araçlarıdır. 1980’li yıllarda Türk sinemasında kadın filmi dendiğinde akla ilk gelen sinemacı Atıf Yılmaz’dır. Yönetmenin filmlerini çektiği yıllar aynı zamanda kadın hareketinin yükselmeye başladığı dönem olması açısından önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, bahsedilen arka plan düşünülerek Atıf Yılmaz’ın belleğin merkezi rol oynadığı Adı Vasfiye ve Ah Belinda filmleri örneklem olarak seçilmiştir. Filmlerin analizlerine temel oluşturması için bellek, hatırlama ve belleğin sinema ile ilişkisi literatürle temellendirilmiştir. Filmler, toplumsal cinsiyet ilişkileri bağlamında bellek yanılsamalarının nasıl kurulduğunu açıklamak üzere metin analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Especially in the current episodes of the program, the presenter's emphasis on the importance of women's taking their own decisions when choosing a spouse and having economic independence, and institutions which women can learn an occupation gives importance to the program in terms of spreading the discourse of women's empowerment to different segments of the society. While women's empowerment conceptually expresses women's ability to use resources and opportunities to make and implement their own decisions without being dependent on others, this discourse disseminates itself in the Gelin Evi program at a contextual level. Thus, Gelin Evi program can be tool that provide women empowerment when it is considered with its influential capacity. Television does not only entertain people, but also functions as a tool to convey ideas and new living practices to the masses. {"title":"New Mentality to the Old Village: Peasant Discourse on the Graphic Designs of İhap Hulusi Görey","authors":"Bilgen AYDIN SEVİM, Ali Can Meti̇n","doi":"10.55055/mekcad.1176996","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.55055/mekcad.1176996","url":null,"abstract":"İhap Hulusi Görey (1898-1986) is an extraordinary artist who has an important place in Turkey’s mass media history with his graphic designs. He made a great contribution to the shaping of the visual memory of the Republic with his works in many different genres from public institution posters to press announcements of private enterprises. Görey’s designs became a medium that conveyed the messages of the newly established regime to the public in the Early Republican Period (1923-1950), when visual, audio and printed mass media were weak. Görey’s designs were the most effective means of creating a change in attitude and behavior in an imperial remnant society, 85% of whom lives in villages and whose literacy rate is around 5%. Although Görey came from an upper class family, he analyzed the psychology of the peasants very well and encoded visual and verbal messages in an empathetic language in his graphic designs. These works, designed with a romantic point of view, carry all the handicaps of the ambivalent attitude towards the peasants of the Early Republican Period. The Turkish peasant, presented in an idealized composition on Görey’s designs, was positioned both as the real owner of the newly established regime and as the object of the behavioral engineering project of the Republican elites. The aim of this study is to reveal the reflection of the contradictory discourse of the Republic towards the peasants in Görey’s graphic designs, based on Mehmet Asım Karaömerlioğlu’s arguments about peasantism. During the Tsarist period before the establishment of the Soviet Union, Feudal rule was experienced, then the socialist system was adopted in the country, and housing was one of the biggest problems of the people in both periods. \u0000In this article, it is examined how different policies implemented in the Tsarist Period and the Soviet Union affected the architecture and how they changed according to the periods. Socialism, which began to be implemented with the collapse of the Absolute Monarchy and the establishment of the Soviet Union, underwent different political processes during the Soviet Union Period and was exposed to various changes. The housing and cultural structures of the country, which experienced different leadership and regime processes, and the leadership ideology reflected in the structures were investigated in the cultural dimension. The cultural structures of the Lenin and Stalin periods were selected starting from the Tsarist Period. {"title":"The Stage as a Community Possibility and a Space of Resistance: A Study on Pose","authors":"Melisa Yilmaz","doi":"10.55055/mekcad.1145805","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.55055/mekcad.1145805","url":null,"abstract":"It is possible to read Pose (Ryan Murphy, 2018), which brings together different human profiles belonging to intersectional identities, as a defense of singularity that rebels against identity politics and directly the issue of identity, beyond being a fiction about American ball culture. The always marginalized characters in Pose find an opportunity for liberation on prom nights, where they can only be together by disguising, putting on makeup, dancing and posing. This opportunity for liberation is also their opportunity to reconstruct the truth about who they are. The purpose of this study is to evaluate Pose as a project shaped around the problem of identity and singularity, a proposition about how people under domination can establish their own singularity and how they can become a community. For this purpose, in the first part of the study, Pose's organic connection with the identity and subject problem was examined, and the mechanisms of domination (for example, institutions and cultural norms) that were clearly revealed in the series were analyzed in the context of discourse practices theorized by Foucault. In addition, the AIDS epidemic emphasized in the series and the way the epidemic was defined by the dominant institutions were analyzed. In the second part, the process of transforming people who are dominated in Pose into a community and the role of death in this process are examined within the framework of the ideas put forward by some thinkers such as Nancy and Blanchot. In the third part, Agamben's views on community and political exceptions and homo sacer terminology are evaluated through Pose. Reşat Nuri Güntekin deals with individual and social subjects such as; family, love, child, loneliness, friendship, sacrifice and ethics and he try to depict the new contrary to the traditional and spread the ideology of Republic. In this study, it is aimed at analysing Soap - opera adaptation of his novel “Pity” based on semiological analysis. The said Soap - opera is a Turkish made drama displayed in TRT 1 between 1985 and 1986 in seven seasons.
