It is known that breast cancer is one of the main causes of death in women. Therefore, mastectomy is one of the most used medical interventions to prevent, fight or stop breast cancer totally or partially. Due to this, the aim of this work was to determine the method or methods used for breast reconstruction for patients with a history of breast cancer after a total or partial mastectomy, and also to know a little about possible complications if any, to know which would be the most assertive to apply to the patient, for which information was collected in databases, and using a method similar to PRISMA a necessary number of articles that met the criteria for the preparation of the work were chosen, and search terms were used in pages such as MESH/DECS. Among the main methods found to achieve breast reconstruction was the immediate reconstruction that can even be applied at the time of mastectomy, however, the technique to be used will depend on the patient’s case, as soft tissue flaps can be used, as well as autologous tissues that are cataloged with better results even than radiotherapy.","PeriodicalId":184806,"journal":{"name":"Salud Ciencia y Tecnología","volume":"332 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133016708","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In relation to people who consume psychoactive substances, it was determined that it radically affects the level and achievement of life, relationship, personal growth, physical well-being, safety, spirituality, environment, among others. Among the aims to highlight is to analyze the quality of life in drug-dependent adults, in addition, we seek to collect information about the quality of life in general and later focused on people addicted to psychoactive substances, to gather research in relation to drug dependence and to associate the QOL investigations in patients addicted to psychoactive substances. Therefore, it is established that there is a low level in the quality of life of this group of patients, due to the fact that such addiction affects several aspects, causing alterations in their behavior. In this way, the quality of life is determined by means of medical instruments that are used during clinical practice, in relation to people addicted to psychoactive substances, it is established that it has detrimental effects leading to the development of various psychiatric and behavioral disorders.","PeriodicalId":184806,"journal":{"name":"Salud Ciencia y Tecnología","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116713403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unlike WSN, in classic networks, networking mechanisms have decision-making power with reference to the management of an incoming packet only based on its internet protocol (IP) destination address. Assailant nodes can activate a denial of service (DoS) attack after entering the network. This research work focuses on tracing these collusive nodes by applying a trust-based scheme. The trust-based scheme includes measuring the degree of trust among all nodes. Nodes with minimum trust are designated as malicious nodes. Trust is measured based on the overall packets transferred during the time slot allotted. The node forwarding maximal packets and exploiting minimal assists will be tagged as malicious. The nascent architecture was deployed in NS2, and the outcomes were analysed based on particular performance metrics. To calculate trust, the overall packets forwarded by nodes in the allotted slot were considered. The node that transmits the largest number of packets and uses negligible assets was declared a vindictive node. This task implementation presents the approach in the NS2 software and analyses the results based on certain metrics.","PeriodicalId":184806,"journal":{"name":"Salud Ciencia y Tecnología","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123075473","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Initially, a simulation software (CST Microwave Studio) was used to design the antenna. This device was assembled by introducing one slot near the center and the remaining slots on both sides of the central slot, placed diagonally, to observe frequency variation leading to tuning the designed frequency. The addition of slots on the patch with variations in feed point location shows multiband frequency tuning behavior at three resonant frequencies. Variations of the slots distance with respect to each other along with changing the feed point locations are studied with tuning of the resonant frequency within the same band (L and S-Band). The RL values are not degraded for both simulated and measured results; thus antenna performance is not disturbed by multiband frequency behavior.","PeriodicalId":184806,"journal":{"name":"Salud Ciencia y Tecnología","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129022481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the causes is that maintaining a minimum distance of 1 to 2 meters between workers is often challenging due to the plant layout and work system design limitations. Therefore, an intervention to the workstation is needed to protect industrial workers from potential exposure to Covid-19 and other airborne infections. One technology that has a high potential to be applied to solve this problem is the air curtain/personalized ventilation. This research analyzes the effectiveness of downward push-pull air curtain in protecting workers from inhaling the infected microdroplet. The extent to which the downward push-pull ventilation can withstand the burst of microdroplets was studied by varying the air speed ratios of the air curtain. A 2D simulation was carried out with Salome, OpenFOAM, and ParaView softwares. Two scenarios were tested, i.e., the distance between the person who is coughing is 0,5 and 1 meter from the air curtain. For the distance of 0,5 meter, the results showed that the optimum velocity ratio between the pushed and pulled air was 0,17 with a droplet penetration percentage of 8,98 %. While for 1 m, the optimum velocity ratio was 0,25 with a droplet penetration percentage of 5,67 %.","PeriodicalId":184806,"journal":{"name":"Salud Ciencia y Tecnología","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125944903","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The drastic and dramatic spread has affected human lives and livelihoods as well as businesses across the world. Organizations across the world are uniting and coming forward to minimize the seriousness of healthcare. The survival of the human community should be the top priority during this time. To control spread, respective higher authorities impose restrictions on public gatherings, with strict action taken against those who exceed the maximum allowed people in public gatherings. Our IOT-based project aims to limit the number of people entering the academic blocks during COVID-19 in order to monitor overcrowding in these buildings. Our electrical circuit or device will monitor the number of people entering the academic blocks, and once the maximum allowed number of people is reached, the next person will not be allowed to enter the building, and the electrical circuit will ring a siren. This will also ensure that social distancing is maintained. Our project is based on Arduino. Several electrical components, such as an Arduino Uno, a prototype, a breadboard, a piezo-buzzer, ultraviolet sensors, and jumper wires, were used. Software simulations were carried out in the well-known online electrical circuit compiler, Tinkercad. A hardware simulation of our project was also made.","PeriodicalId":184806,"journal":{"name":"Salud Ciencia y Tecnología","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122542341","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
