Consistent with the current development of technology emergence in digital applications, these spaces have been affected in the way that the content and tools are now being developed in the realm of digital and virtual capacity. Exploration of new media design and aesthetics has tremendously supported the new hybrid space either conceptually or visually. The local scenario is also seeing a vast participation and interest from various domains where a large number of new inventions are designed and tailored to benefit from this multimedia diversity. Together with the shift of the situation, the built environment also faces new challenges where the physical entities are blended with digital attributes giving the users a sense of virtually participating in the space. Thus, the visual experience is also enriched when they visit these interactive exhibition spaces and able to interact with the artefacts or content in a multiple way to the otherwise static and linear story telling of exhibits. This paper aims to study visual experience in visiting exhibition spaces of the new media and aesthetics. There are many factors that can be observed, analysed and used as a tool to gauge visual experience, spatial experience and interaction. Existing spaces that are available locally have the infrastructure and advantages to be created in such manner, and observations have to be done for analysis purposes. Similar research projects and method applied elsewhere to observe these spaces can be also used as an insight to understand the visual experience further. Findings from the study will benefit research in areas of visual experience, engagement and how interaction proceeds in a multimedia environment. Exhibition spaces now undergo major change from a static space to a fluid, flexible one and offer a high technological platform. This opportunity contributes aptly in time to knowledge generation and societal well-being. The research outcome from this project will be in the form of some observation analysis on related spaces and a few case studies on related researches done. As the study is still in its infancy, more future works are envisioned to take place which includes prototype testing in the near future which will contribute to construct and design interactive exhibition space.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124972219","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Processing times, Local optima problem and low accuracy in the complex optimization problems are the most important lacks of classical Genetic Algorithms. In this article a novel hybrid Bees Algorithm is proposed to optimizes the performance of a Fuzzy classification while the limited raw input data as the features are used. In this model, the proposed Bees Algorithm simulates the honey bees behaviour in the offspring generation process called Bee Royalty Offspring Algorithm (BROA) to improve the training process of classic Genetic Algorithm. The evaluation results illustrated that the BROA improves considerably the accuracy rate and the performance of the training process of classical Genetic Algorithms.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123780745","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it is a challenge to promote the eCommerce to a wider rural community. One reason is that there is a lack of understanding of the notion of sustainability in the deployment of this technology. Sustainability is always an important property in all kind of technology deployment for rural community. Questions like; How to sustain certain projects once the funding is finished? Who will pay for the project after that? Does the project still exist after certain time? This paper presents an initial sustainability model to support the eCommerce project for Long Lamai community. The model is based on the early management in eCommerce project for Long Lamai. In this paper, we first present the factors that influence the sustainability of eCommerce for the community. This is followed by the modeling of those factors using agentoriented modeling. Finally, we validate the model through the eCommerce project refinement. The model has been shown to be valueable in order to understand the community well and to strategize the eCommerce deployment for the community in a sustainable way. The contributions of this paper is the theoretical framework of the sustainability model as well as its practicality in supporting rural community projects.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125413739","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

LO is a small, independent and reusable learning unit that accomplishes a single learning outcome. Due to the size, it is also called as micro learning object. It is also possible, to aggregate several types of LO to sequence the learning activities. Evaluation on LO is essential to study the merits and pitfalls to improve the design. Leaners' views are important to understand the guidelines and consideration to ensure the success of LOs as the learning support in a programming lab. Three types of micro LOs designed and developed for C programming module. Learning object review instrument (LORI 1.5) was used to evaluate LO by measuring six dimensions of quality. Eighty foundation in engineering students participated in evaluating the LOs. Overall, the evaluation results indicate that the three types of micro LOs (content object, practice object and assessment object) rated as acceptable learning support in a programming lab. The design issues outlined in this study could be a guide for academicians and researchers who keen in developing learning objects for programming languages.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129704973","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem is finding the factors impacting on the users adoption to new technologies. The purpose of this research is to investigate citizen perceptions of e-government adoption in Iran by utilizing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) theory and other related models focusing on Intention to Use. The proposed model considered Trustworthiness as an exogenous variable. A causal adoption model was derived from direct and indirect antecedents of e-government intention to use. Questionnaires were then designed and distributed to fifteen public organizations in Esfahan, Iran. The proposed model relationships were tested using the Structured Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. The SEM results indicated that e-Government services is perceived as acceptable and is more likely to contribute towards e-government adoption. Besides, trustworthiness, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use along with compatibility and social influence intention provide evidence that e-Government services are more likely to motivate the citizens to use the services. The overall goodness-of-fit indicates that the developed SEM model has respectable outcomes. In addition, from implementers' point of view, the results of this research prove imperative as an indicator for the government of Iran to successfully implement and manage its e-Government services.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130627150","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the studies by OWASP, SQL injection has the highest rank in the web based vulnerabilities. In case of a successful SQL injection attack, the attacker can have access to the web application database. With the rapid rise of SQL injection based attacks, researchers start to provide different security solutions to protect web application against them. One of the most common solutions is the using of web application firewalls. Usually these firewalls use signature based technique as the main core for the detection. In this technique the firewall checks each packet against a list of predefined SQL injection attacks known as signatures. The problem with this technique is that, an attacker with a good knowledge of SQL language can change the look of the SQL queries in a way that firewall cannot detect them but still they lead to the same malicious results. In this paper first we described the nature of SQL injection attack, then we analyzed current SQL injection detection evasion techniques and how they can bypass the detection filters, afterward we proposed a combination of solutions which helps to mitigate the risk of SQL injection attack.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127610579","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Empirical studies found PPT-based lectures have several advantages. However, some challenges began to emerge in recent years, include: to provide non-linear narrative to deal with more and more non-linearly organized knowledge. Second, to adapt to students' varied education backgrounds and interests. Third, to deal with the popularity of web2.0 and mobile apps among students. In this paper, a prototype of enhanced information-rich presentation system based on web technology and second screen was proposed. Survey and interview after experimenting with prototype system show a significant impact on promoting communication between teachers and students, which is more than 200% in class and 3000% after class. Although many positive user experience feedbacks were acquired from teacher and students, further studies may still be required since we also found many communication behaviors are irrelevant to presentations or the class itself.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128005965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There is now a growing necessity to move towards an education system that can prepare graduates with important skills to enter the working world. In response to this, universities are now moving towards more authentic learning strategies that are student-centred and are able to provide students with the crucial skills they need. This paper presents a study that sought to investigate how efficient an authentic learning environment, with a project-based curriculum that is supported by multimedia and web technologies, can engage students' creative and critical thinking. Results showed that authentic learning strategies encouraged higher order thinking skills, made learning active, supported the development of important career skills and enhanced understanding. The positive results strongly encourage the use of authentic learning strategies to engage students' creative and critical thinking.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128945236","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This selection can be difficult in different situations since in such networks there is no specific infrastructure and standard specifications for network development. In this paper we introduce several reactive routing protocols in the MANET and check some performance metrics such as throughput, end to end delay and packet delivery ratio in order to find the best routing protocol based on the enforced conditions in our network. It is observed that in a network with increased number of nodes to maximum 20 nodes, packet delivery ratio and throughput in DSR and AOMDV routing protocols are better than AODV while in checking end to end delay, AOMDV shows less delay than DSR and AODV.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127865335","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
