The explosive use of web application with very little emphasis lay on securing it make this attack becoming more popular. Various methods have been discussed and proposed as countermeasure to the attack. Unfortunately, most of them are seen to be not comprehensive enough to address any kind of issues an organization might have when it comes to hardening the web security such as technical and financial matter for instance. This study presents a way to prevent and detect intrusion through the deployment of reverse proxy with an intrusion and prevention mechanism built in against web attacks especially SQLIA. With the flexibility offered in server logging process, we obtain and analyse preferred data to visualize the type of attack based on logs information. Our graph visualization development monitors three web security aspects, i.e. the top traffic blocked attempted by IP address, number of regular expression rules violated and detect the rules of intrusion detection.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128971576","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

More educators have started encouraging their students to participate actively within groups through online learning (Brindley et al., 2009) as it could enhance students' cognitive skills (Moscinska & Rutkowski, 2011). When the flexibility of online learning is integrated with the face-to-face method, it provides a new experience in teaching and learning. The important question raised was: Does learning in blended mode also increase the students' cognitive skills? As the study of blended learning is based mainly on content analysis (online transcripts), a case study with a qualitative approach was conducted. The findings proved that learning through blended learning could enhance students' cognitive skills.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132208456","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This includes expanding the social interaction and engagement between the students with more online communication and collaborative tools. Hence it established the importance of analyzing the processes in social interaction and online communication, and further developed the framework to evaluate the design of this learning environment which can sustain and support web-based collaborative learning. Many learning approaches today have embedded collaborative learning activities and therefore there is a need to investigate the effectiveness of such collaborations with respect to student communication and interactions. This study presents students' feedback on their interaction and communication process when collaborating on a multimedia project. The Communicative Model of Collaborative Learning (CMCL) was used to analyze their feedback, obtained from open-ended questions and student interviews. The results showed that the CMCL was a useful tool for assessing the linguistic interactions between students in this strategy of web-mediated learning. The results showed positive encouragement for using the CMCL to further improve student communication and interaction analysis in web-based collaborative learning environments.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123644862","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

UX is an essential consideration that should be acknowledged and implemented when initiating digital culture heritage preservation. It is because UX is beyond the usability of a product or system. It includes both pragmatic (function and features) and hedonic (user expectation, motivation and feelings) factors. These attributes could influence user's positive experience when interacting with the system or product and this will lead to effectiveness of digitisation and preservation activities. The output from this study will propose the approach towards integrating UX and gather insights for future initiatives in establishing cultural and heritage digital preservation that consider effective UX to encourage user satisfaction.","PeriodicalId":179536,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Informatics and Creative Multimedia","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125776374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
