Kim, Tae Hwan Kim, Jae Yong Han, Hyeon Kyeong Jo, Ju Ri Kwak, Ji Been Park, Jong-pyo Suh, Woo-jai Lee","doi":"10.5657/KFAS.2020.0563","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5657/KFAS.2020.0563","url":null,"abstract":"터봇(Scophthalmus maximus)은 주로 지중해, 발트해 및 북 대서양에서 서식하는 넙치과 어류로, 약 20-70 m 이내의 수심 에서 주로 서식하며, 최대 1 m까지 성장한다고 보고되었다(Danancher and Garcia-Vazquez, 2007). 1970년대 이후 영국과 프 랑스에서 고밀도 양식 가능성 및 빠른 성장의 특성 때문에 양식 대상종으로 주목 받기 시작했고, 중국에서는 주요 전략 품종으 로 선발하여 고부가가치 어종으로써 그 상품성을 인정받고 있 다(Lee et al., 2008; Choi and Shin, 2012; Lv et al., 2019). 세 계의 주요 터봇 생산국은 중국으로 2017년 기준 약 45,500톤 을 생산하고 있으며 유럽의 스페인(약 8,771톤)과 비교하여 약 36,729톤을 더 많이 생산하고 있다(FAO, 2019). 하지만 국내 의 경우 제주도의 약 10개 업체에서 터봇을 양식하고 있으나, 이 외의 지역에서는 터봇 양식이 이루어지지 않고 있다. 또한 내수 소비가 거의 이루어 지지 않아 생산된 터봇의 대부분이 수 출되고 있는 실정이다. 터봇은 약 16°C에서 서식하는 냉수성 어 종으로, 우리나라의 터봇 양식은 여름철 고수온 환경 및 양식장 의 구조적인 특성으로 인해 다소 어려움이 많은 것으로 알려져 있다(Jang, 2002). 하지만, 입식 1년 후 약 700 g 이상으로 빠르 게 성장하는 생물학적 특성을 가지고 있기 때문에 우리나라 환 경적 특성에 적응하는 터봇의 육종 연구가 필요하다(Lee et al., 2008). 터봇 양식의 주요 요소는 성장률, 사료의 효율성, 높은 내 병성 등으로 평가될 수 있다(Eh, 2011). 양식 어류의 성장은 다 양한 물리·화학·생물학적 요인들의 복합적인 영향을 받지만 어 류가 섭취하는 사료의 양과 섭취 사료의 체내 이용 효율이 가장 직접적인 영향을 미친다(Buurma and Diana, 1994). 따라서, 사 료효율이 높아 성장이 빠른 선두그룹 개체를 선별하여 육성하 한국 육종터봇(Scophthalmus maximus)의 성장률 비교 분석 김민성·김태환·한재용·조현경·곽주리·박지빈·서종표·이우재*","PeriodicalId":17917,"journal":{"name":"Korean Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences","volume":"3 1","pages":"563-565"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87470206","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The diets were added with graded levels of SH meal by 0, 0.5, 1, 2, 4 and 8% (designated as Con, SH0.5, SH1, SH2, SH4 and SH8, respectively). Quadruplicate groups of shrimp were hand-fed with one of the diets five times daily for 39 days. The innate immunity and antioxidant capacity of shrimp were significantly improved by the dietary SH supplementation. The cumulative survival of shrimp exposed to Vibrio parahaemolyticus in a challenge was higher in shrimp group fed SH diets, except for SH8, than that of shrimp fed the control diet. Growth performance and feed utilization of the shrimp were significantly decreased with the dietary SH inclusions except for 0.5%. Results indicated that dietary SH meal could be used as a functional supplement for improvements in innate immunity, antioxidant capacity and disease resistance in Pacific white shrimp. Oh, Su-mi Kim","doi":"10.5657/KFAS.2020.0752","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5657/KFAS.2020.0752","url":null,"abstract":"Acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND), previously known as early mortality syndrome (EMS), is an emerging disease in shrimp caused by Vibrio parahaemolyticus. Some V. parahaemolyticus strains are associated with foodborne diseases in humans. To date, studies on the relationship between AHPND and pathogenic V. parahaemolyticus are very limited. In this study, we monitored the thermostable direct hemolysin-related hemolysin (trh) gene and AHPND–related genes, such as Photorhabdus insect-related (pir) genes, in 892 strains of V. parahaemolyticus isolated and identified in 24 areas of the West Coast of Korea from May to October 2019. The trh gene was detected in 9.6% of the isolates from short neck clam samples. However, the pirA and pirB genes related to AHPND were not found in any of the isolates despite using both duplex and nested PCR assays, suggesting that AHPND-related genes were nonexistent in the V. parahaemolyticus strains isolated.
