This work proposes a novel image encryption algorithm that is composed of 3 phases. In the first phase, the Fibonacci sequence is utilized. The second phase makes use of a well-tested S-box. Finally, the third phases employs a chaotic function that is based on the Tan and Bessel functions. Performance evaluation of the proposed algorithm is gauged through common image encryption metrics found in the literature. The results exhibit a superior encryption performance, including an MSE value of 8919, a PSNR value of 8.63 dB and an entropy value of 7.999, for the Lena image. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm is tested against the NIST suite and is shown to pass all the tests. Computed values of the various metrics are also compared against counterpart algorithms from the literature and the proposed algorithm is either exhibiting a superior or a comparable performance to them.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126937297","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This leads to a gradual decrease in physical and mental capacity, as growing risk of disease and ultimately death. Using devices such as a health monitoring vest can help reduce this risk and keep the healthcare professionals in touch with the patient. Thus, this paper is headed towards implementing a series of sensors that collect health data from the user and store it on a private server. A chat box is designed in such a way the medical supervisors can send any recommended message to the patient after reviewing his records. The whole system is installed into a compatible box to group all the components that are built directly into the main board in one safe place. The performance of this system is analyzed thoroughly and the accuracy of all subparts is considered carefully and evaluated. Each part of the system was tested successfully and the overall system operates very well. The results have shown no faulty errors and good accuracy and detection percentages.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125610951","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Economic instability, emotional impact, and other triggers on people with disabilities are examples of the consequences that commonly affect them. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), statistics reveal that 15% of the population are people with disabilities. Lower-limb exoskeletons are one of the technological solutions that help patients in their rehabilitation process or as assistance equipment. One of the most essential systems that are part of the exoskeletons of the lower extremities is the control system that has the control laws that define the functionality of this type of equipment. Therefore, in this review, various control methods and/or techniques used in 73 lower limb exoskeletons are analyzed, classifying their information in different sections such as trade names, biosignals used as information inputs through the mechatronic system, sensors that obtain information on control parameters such as position and force, actuators that perform the selected functions, and their common applications.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128299291","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A high dosage can directly affect the patient's health, while a low one may disrupt the operation and, in turn, lead to unavoidable damage. To this end, this work proposes a novel, low power $(1.7mu W)$, low voltage (0.6V) analog architecture of a Nearest Class with Multiple Centroids classifier for depth of anesthesia monitoring. The architecture consists of a bell-shaped function circuit and the Lazzaro argmax operator circuit. To verify the proper operation of the proposed classifier a real-world depth of Anesthesia dataset is utilized. Post-layout simulation results were compared with software-based ones to confirm the high accuracy of the proposed design. The implemented architecture was realized and simulated in a TSMC 90nm CMOS process, using the Cadence IC Suite.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134099172","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bionic prosthesis are artificial limbs worn by people who lost a limb either through amputation of because of a congenic disease. Limb loss directly harms the patient's performance of daily chores or its work efficiency, so the prosthetics help the patient to maintain a high independency degree.
