Indeed, the understanding of the failure mechanisms and therefore the implementation of corrective actions on the cause of the failure depend on the results of these analysis. These analysis are saved under textual features format. Then such data need first to be pre-processed and vectorized (converted to numeric). Second, to overcome the curse of dimensionality caused by the vectorisation process, a dimension reduction is applied. We are first interested in studying the potential of using an unsupervised variable selection technique to identify the variables that best demonstrate discrimination in the separation and compactness of groups of textual data. Variable selection has been approached by several variable or feature selection methods. Some of them have not been adapted for use in large data sets or are difficult to tune, and others require additional information. This work investigates the potential of using a genetic algorithm to find, in an unsupervised way, the variables allowing the best discrimination of the classes, to select variables correlated to particular textual groups. The proosed genetic algorithm uses a combination of the K-means clustering and validity indices as a fitness function for optimization. Such a function improves both compactness and class separation. Experiments on textual datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method of variable selection which allows better discrimination of textual classes compared to the use of K-means clustering on all data variables.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134550571","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, in multilevel SC circuits or systems correlation levels between stochastic bit-streams are changing, hence, creating severe correlation-induced errors that degrade the SC system's overall accuracy. In many scenarios, the input bitstreams should be correlated for SC arithmetic to obtain accurate results. This work proposes a new correlation manipulation circuit that increases the correlation between two stochastic numbers. Experimental results show that our correlator outperforms other works in correlating the bit-streams with negligible effect on the encoded probabilities.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124151984","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper will identify the basic needs of the sample size selected, and test the hypotheses presented. In this dynamic technological environment, moving the Lebanese Government into cloud computing has become a necessity. Many other governments have already switched to the e-Government concept and Lebanon should follow rapidly. The approach of this research will be to conduct an online questionnaire to assess the reaction of respondents and try to gather as much as possible relevant data. The age group will be between 20 and 60 years old and our sample size will be for 500 different email addresses. The literature review showed the different methods used by different countries to ensure the move into cloud computing, along with the challenges that they faced (or still face). The data collected from the questionnaires show that Lebanon is not different from other countries and it is currently facing the same challenges. Data also shows that Lebanon is on the right path to move into the e-Government and it will achieve its objective. This would however require time as well as a change in the government's mindset when it comes to handling the challenges of the new technology as well as new engineering approaches and applications. Citizens' trust is the main driver to transitioning to e-Government. Secondary Data for our research was not available in Lebanon; we had to conduct an online questionnaire to collect the data needed for this research. Approaching the government offices was not helpful as many still see and feel that moving to cloud computing is not a priority currently in Lebanon. Bureaucracy and the political situation still need a major revamping and their current structure and stronghold will complicate the way those government offices can serve citizens. In conclusion, the value of the e-Government would improve the level of services and would increase the citizens' confidence following the implementation of cloud computing.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122622669","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This indignation can be treated by the new trend in power systems integrating hybrid sources, smart meters, reliable grid, fair fees and efficient management. This new development is facing lot of challenges throughout its modules or layers. Different artificial intelligent algorithms and techniques are introduced to integrate the hybrid power generation sources, control & management system and smart metering with client oversight. These modules are heavily dependent on information communications that makes it exposed to cyber security threats. In this paper, we will propose a real applicable solution for a complete system from design, hybrid power source selection, AI techniques options to cyber security plan. Our novel design ensures full sustainable energy production with no pollution or waste production and least running cost.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131191816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This parameter is used to compute the quantity of hydrogen created in relation to the input energy and energy efficiency. Based on theoretical calculations published in the literature, this work introduces a basic correlation model of a proton exchange membrane electrolyzer. The established correlations allowed the experimental results of hydrogen generated by a proton exchange membrane electrolyzer prototype at three different discharge pressures to be validated.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129467025","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Transactions processed electronically require limited physical interaction with the public authorities, providing reduced time response, transparency, confidentiality, and integrity. Blockchain technology enhances many of the above characteristics because it facilitates the stability and transparency of recorded transactions and could help with building trust among the participants [1]. Mobile robots are used in many fields on land, in the air, and underwater, and are integrated into numerous applications such as maintenance, security, detection, exploration of anomalies, decision making, and carrying out operations. These robots have thus taken their place in the terrain where there is an electric field and where they are involved in the maintenance of power lines, even at high voltage. This article deals with one of the principles used to improve the performance of this type of robot, namely path planning. This point is very important to save time and consequently avoid economic losses. Nowadays, many difficulties and challenges have to be overcome in order to navigate autonomously, efficiently, and reliably. This article reviews path planning methods for mobile robots, examines their modeling, algorithms, and optimization criteria, and proposes to open the horizon for embedded road applications (ERA).","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117083569","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But in the absence of adequate infrastructure for an on grid system that absorbs the surplus production of these individual systems, a lot of energy is going to waste while other energy-consuming units are lacking of energy even for their most basic needs because of the fuel shortage and economic crisis. The “Small-Scale Grid Sharing System” will allow these units to benefit from the surplus generated by the producing units, and power general interest services that were unavailable during the power shortage, without extra costs or within a very tight budget. This is a low cost and easy solution adapted to the Lebanese situation regarding power management and efficiency at the small community scale, which lead to it being implemented in some small and medium scale solar systems in the Bekaa region in Lebanon.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130443692","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many techniques such as modulation, digital wave guides and others, succeeded in mimicking the sound of a musical instrument using the computer system. However, still most of the instruments, especially wind musical instruments, are fabricated from a hobbyist perspective and not from a scientific manner. For that, the aim of this work is to analyse all the physical and mathematical parameters of a flute musical instrument, and to create a simulator using Lab View graphical user interface that allows the design of a flute to be based on scientific inputs such as the length, the width, the number and the size of holes, the distance between holes and many other features. The results represent all parameters needed to design a flute and they were simulated and verified numerically.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114141174","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
