With the expansion of telecommunications from the COVID-19 pandemic and the advancement of technology, it is expected that by 2025 the weight of this waste will increase to 4.3 billion tons per year. In addition to precious metals, E-waste contains hazardous substances such as mercury, lead, cadmium, barium, and lithium. Therefore, managing how to recycle them through healthy environmental processes is essential. In this paper, the removal of the CD-ROM cover with the help of the proposed device of Marx is investigated. The Marx generator is designed and manufactured with an input voltage of 50 volts, an output voltage of about 370 volts, and a pulse power of 24.5 J. The results indicate the possibility of short-term separation of the CD-ROM coating with the help of the proposed generator.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133009645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The system uses STM32F103 single chip microcomputer as the main control chip. The system hardware is mainly composed of Pcap01 module, STM32 minimum system module, system power supply module and isolation module. The system software mainly includes the C program of the lower computer to realize the collection of micro capacitance data, the communication between Pcap01 and STM32, and the display of measurement data on the upper computer interface. By fitting the relationship between the measured capacitance and the chip output value with the least square algorithm, the error caused by parasitic capacitance of adjacent pins of the chip can be greatly reduced. The experimental results show that the system has the advantages of good linearity and high precision.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131744082","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, early Covid-19 diagnosis prevents the further spread of this epidemic and helps to quickly treat affected patients of coronavirus. Unlike Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test, screening techniques based on Chest X-Ray (CXR) scan detect Covid-19 early even before the beginning of Covid-19 symptoms, also they are more effective and have higher detection rates. However, the CXR images suffer of some low visual quality which makes the CXR-based screening method time consuming due to the small number of radiologists. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an optimization technique for a recently developed intelligent classification system (Darknet-19) that assists radiologists in diagnosing coronavirus for patients using CXR images. In particular, our proposed optimization scheme consists first in a close-up dataset cleaning followed by advanced image enhancement as a preprocessing phase to the Darknet-19 classification model. Our experiments show that our proposed preprocessing optimization scheme improved the performance of the Darknet-19 model to reach an accuracy of 99.2%.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"59 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130885248","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For many machine learning techniques, especially the ones related to supervised methods, the construction of the training data highly affects the quality and accuracy of the derived model. In this paper w e present and evaluate an automated training set construction methodology where data is synchronously collected from both hardware and software. The complete design and data flow including the interaction between software and hardware, are thoroughly described. As a direct application, this work targets the construction of an FPGA-based circuit power modeling for subsequent early power estimation. The constructed Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model is trained using real measurement data sets extracted using a dedicated in-house designed and implemented generation and acquisition platform. The designated application falls under the power optimization area, becoming nowadays a major concern for most digital hardware designers, particularly in early design phases and especially in limited power budget systems. The power optimization approach in context can be extended in order to support online power management.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122601457","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless, drones are excluded from several regions. Although anti drone systems, which are based on radar technology or visual detection, are deployed, drone intrusions are still recorded due to their small size and ability to maneuver. In this paper we investigate the detection of drones based on their acoustic signature and exploiting the advances of deep learning. Convolution neural networks (CNNs) are adopted to recognize drone sounds. Transfer learning is used to fine-tune pre-trained CNN on a custom acoustic dataset to classify sounds and detect drone acoustic features. The obtained results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed approach as a promising solution to identify the presence of a drone. A mean average precision of 0.88 has been achieved when testing the trained CNN on unseen sound recordings.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127666510","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A hierarchical game based algorithm for resource allocation and pricing is proposed, where the players of the game are the network owner, the tenants and the mobile users. This game models the interaction between the network owner and the tenants and between tenants and mobile users and it aims to maximize the owner income, tenants' profits and provide the best quality of service for the mobile users. Simulation results proved the efficiency of the proposed algorithm and showed that dynamic allocation guarantees better utilities for all players compared to the fixed resource allocation. In addition, results showed that resource sharing between tenants improves their utilities without affecting the network owner income.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"176 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116329091","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From here, one of the important elements whose task is to convert the energy stored in the battery to the engine and vice versa is the conversion chain. In view of mentioning the conversion chain, it mainly consists of two main power electronics stages: a bi-directional DC-DC converter, and DC-AC inverter. With this intention, one of the most popular types of DC-DC converters is selected for this study which is the CUK converter, alongside the most popular and reliable DC-AC inverter type which is the Voltage Source Inverter (VSI). Taking advantage of the strengths and features of the model-based method, it will be the most suitable choice for the objective to be used for improving the efficiency of the EVs by investigating the faults that impact the conversion chain and attempting to detect, identify, diagnose or prognose, and understand the cause of their occurrence. In this paper, the state-pace method is used to model the CUK converter and the VSI, to obtain a global model of the chain and the model is verified using MA TLAB script. The script code is used to elaborate a diagnosis/prognosis approach and the results are compared against the equivalent circuit that was built using MATLAB/Simulink which represents a real system.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126877491","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Indeed, children left or forgotten in cars that slowly start to heat up can cause conditions that would seriously endanger their life. This issue has been studied and solutions were made, however, a solution that completely considers all the aspects is yet to be achieved. This work aims to prevent human deaths due to in-vehicle heatstroke by creating an autonomous monitoring and alerting system that would notify both vehicle owner and emergency contact about any passenger, particularly children, left unattended. To detect movement inside the vehicle, an infrared motion sensor along with image processing will be used. For the status of the car, an accelerometer will report the displacement of the car at specific intervals. The proposed system completely relies on the Raspberry Pi microcontroller which interfaces all system sensors and induces all actions needed to help the passenger.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124170014","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With more real-time applications coming into play, where security and latency are a concern, there has become a need to move inferencing to the edge. This paper describes a machine learning pipeline to carry neural networks from their initial forms to compressed forms deployable on tiny hardware devices, while maintaining acceptable accuracies of the optimized models. We will review the different software optimization techniques used to compress neural networks to their deployable forms. The prototype is a proof of concept showing that applying knowledge distillation from a highly accurate ResNet20 model to a simple CNN student model, followed by post-training quantization, achieves good multi-class accuracy on a constrained Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense at low power consumption and with low inferencing latency.","PeriodicalId":179072,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Smart Systems and Power Management (IC2SPM)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125810611","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
