However, a few rare entities such as pulmonary placental transmogrification (PPT) and metastatic endometrial stromal cell sarcoma (ESS) also can present as cystic lung lesions and pose diagnostic challenges to both radiologists and pathologists. Clinical history is the key in such situations. Since the first description in the literature of these both entities, there have been very few cases reported. We present our case in a middle-aged female who was known to have cystic lung disease but treated as LAM and had a recurrent pneumothorax. Surgical pathology ruled out LAM and other interstitial cystic lung diseases and provided a diagnosis of PPT on wedge resection. Subsequent recurrence of cystic lung nodules led to the re-examination of histopathology and immunohistochemistry, concluding a diagnosis of metastasis from remote but undiagnosed low-grade stromal cell sarcoma. We will discuss the clinical, imaging and pathologic features of both of the diagnoses in this report. Institutional review board approval was not required since it was a single patient report.

The lungs are the most common sites of infection in children, however involvement of other sites is also seen. Peritoneal cystic echinococcosis is rare in children even in endemic areas. Determining whether the origin of this site is primary or secondary remains controversial, especially in children. Secondary peritoneal cystic echinococcosis are expected to occur after spontaneous, traumatic or accidental rupture during surgery of primary liver or splenic cysts. Primary peritoneal cystic echinococcosis without any evidence of another organ involvement has been rarely reported. We report a case of cystic echinococcosis involving the peritoneum and scrotum presenting with a gradually increasing scrotal swelling in a 7-year-old child, along with sonographic, CT, and MRI features.

The most common sites in childhood are the head and neck with only 10% of all cases occurring in the orbit. Clinical manifestations are not specific which makes pre-operative diagnosis challenging. The ovoid-shaped region of interest contouring was manually performed on both sides of the mandibular condyle on axial images to determine the mean CT value. The Klemetti index (KI) for each patient was categorized into C1, C2 and C3 based on coronal CT images.\u0000The mean CT values of the mandibular condyle were decreased with age in both males and females. However, the mass was not consistent with NET during surgical resection and the intra-operative frozen section revealed heterotopic pancreatic tissue and necrotic fat. Surgical resection would have been extensive and morbid; given the lack of a malignant diagnosis, it was aborted. \u0000Discussion: A comprehensive literature review demonstrated few false positive lesions identified by 68Ga-DOTOTATE; most frequently lymph nodes, pancreas, and prostate. Our case is the only reported false positive in a necrotic lesion. Methods: This retrospective study included angiographies performed by retrograde femoral artery access. Arterial punctures were performed with either ultrasound guided (group 1) or manual palpation (group 2) methods. Patients’ pulses were examined by a nurse practitioner and graded subjectively before preparing the puncture side (grade 0–3). Arterial puncture performed through a strong(3) or medium pulsed(2) artery was included in this study. The puncture side (right or left femoral), complications, average catheterization time calculated from patients’ notes, first-pass success rate, and the number of puncture attempts were analyzed. Sheath sizes, body mass index (BMI), and, vascular closure device usage after the angiographic procedure were also recorded and analyzed. Results: A total of 256 angiographies were found to be eligible; age, pulse grading, and puncture side distributions were similar ( p > 0.05). Mean puncture attempts to cathe-terize femoral arteries were 1.09 ± 0.09 and 1.25 ± 0.24 times, which took 1.49 ± 0.19 and 1.75 ± 0.25 minutes for group 1 and group 2, respectively, which were statistically significant ( p < 0.001). Complication rates were similar for both groups ( p = 0.561) and increased with BMI > 35 ( p = 0.003). Conclusion: Ultrasound guidance is comparable with the manual palpation method and is somewhat better in certain conditions. Thus, it should be considered as an option during routine retrograde femoral artery access. According to our results, even in arteries with strong pulses, first-pass success rate, average catheterization time, and puncture attempts were better with ultrasound guidance.

A specific type of NHL, primary paranasal sinus lymphoma (PPSL), is a rare neoplasm of extranodal NHL and can often be difficult to diagnose. It generally has a poor prognosis because of the complex anatomy of the region and it can usually be noticed at an advanced stage.\u0000Case presentation: In this case report, we present diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of the maxillary sinus in a patient who applied to our clinic with the complaint of swelling in the maxillary anterior region for 3 months. Before coming to our clinic, the patient was examined by several physicians who missdiagnosed her condition. After radiological evaluations and histopathological examination the correct diagnosis was made and the patient was referred to the Hematology Clinic where chemotherapy was planned .\u0000Coclusion: Despite the advancement of modern diagnostic methods, timely recognition of disease symptoms still forms the basis of early diagnosis.
