ABSTRACT : Pilocytic astrocytomas are histologically benign low-grade astrocytic tumors seen predominantly during the first two decades of life. Pilocytic astrocytomas in the adult population as well as the hemorrhagic manifestation of pilocytic astrocytomas are quite uncommon.
