This research was conducted from December 2021 to September 2022. This research is qualitative research with descriptive qualitative method. This research data collection technique included conducting observations, interviews, documentation studies, and product feasibility tests to several informants. The results show that local wisdom in the agricultural sector of Kampung Adat Urug can be used as a source for learning biology. The biology material in the local wisdom of the agricultural area of Kampung Adat Urug covers KD 3.1 and KD 4.1 topics related to biology, KD 3.2 and KD 4.2 topics related to biodiversity, and KD 3.11 and KD 4.11 topics related to ecosystems for grade 10 students. For grade 12 students, the material covers KD 3.1 and KD 4.1 topics related to growth and development. Future research should aim to develop teaching materials and learning media for biology based on the local wisdom of the Urug Traditional Village, combined with a diversified learning model. \u0000Keywords: urug indigenous village, local wisdom, biology learning resources","PeriodicalId":17820,"journal":{"name":"KnE Social Sciences","volume":"174 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141682044","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is due to the very rapid development of digital technology. One of the threats is the spread of fake news, hate speech, and digital crime, which disturb the public. The threat of negative impacts from digital technology must be handled seriously because it makes people anxious. Today’s young generation is often found to be victims of the negative impacts of using digital technology. This happens because many young people use digital technology in their daily lives without adequate digital knowledge and skills. Therefore, attitudes and actions are needed to counteract the negative impacts of digital technology by strengthening digital citizenship competencies. The method used in this research involves literature review data collection techniques, using relevant sources, both national and international articles, and then compiling data related to the problem. Defending the country in the digital era involves strengthening digital citizenship competencies, which include digital skills, digital ethics, digital culture and digital security. Stakeholders can bring together various points of view to produce comprehensive solutions. Design thinking offers an inventive approach to solving challenging problems. This research offers a comprehensive perspective and understanding of design thinking as a framework for measuring the abilities of prospective teachers. A qualitative approach with documentary content analysis methodologies produces a theoretical competency framework. The findings are then applied to pinpoint design thinking’s dimensions and indicators as pertinent competencies, such as empathy, experimentation, optimism, feedback seeking, and collaboration. These results significantly advance our knowledge of how, in the present environment, design thinking may be understood, utilized, and assessed as a critical talent. The research uses a descriptive–qualitative research design. Data were collected through observations and in-depth interviews. The observation was conducted by analyzing 20 higher education students’ theses in terms of paraphrasing practices. The in-depth interviews with five selected participants were conducted by asking some questions related to the observation results about paraphrasing practices. Based on the observation and the in-depth interviews, the researcher found that most of the students prefer to do paraphrasing practices online compared to paraphrasing practices manually. In addition, most students already know the meaning of paraphrasing but some students have not applied it adequately. The researchers conclude that online paraphrasing is a great idea that can be used to simplify paraphrasing activities. However, the students need to re-read the results of the paraphrase from the online paraphrase to be analyzed and revised if needed. It is crucial to focus on the overall quality of the paraphrased results, making sure to check for proper word choice and grammar. This manuscript presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of scholarly publications from 1986 to 2023, delineating the evolution and trends of research in 21st-century skills within practical learning environments. Utilizing the robust capabilities of RStudio’s Bibliometrix and VOSviewer tools, we systematically quantify and visualize the data, providing a metaanalysis of the existing literature. Our analysis encompasses publication output, citation patterns, keyword frequency, thematic concentrations, and collaborative networks. We reveal significant growth in research interest, particularly in areas such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity, often referred to as the “4 Cs” of 21st-century skills. The study identifies key authors, influential institutions, and pivotal publications that have shaped the discourse. Moreover, it highlights interdisciplinary collaborations and the geographical distribution of contributions, offering insights into the global research landscape. Our findings suggest that practical learning pedagogies are increasingly integrating 21st-century competencies, reflecting a paradigm shift towards skills that prepare students for the demands of the modern workforce and society. The theory used is Bruno Latour’s ANT theory which has five concepts, namely actors, networks, actants, translations, and intermediaries. The researcher focuses on the concept of network actors, and translations. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative research method. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants who were interviewed were fishermen, fishermen’s families, traditional leaders (community leaders), and the surrounding community following the sea alms tradition. The results show that the process of the sea alms tradition begins with a procession to the river mouth to bring umborambe (offerings) which are put into julen (miniature joglo houses) containing clothing, goat heads and feet, fruits, and other objects that are considered the favorite of the ruler of the ocean (Nyi Roro Kidul) to be floated to the sea.
