This study examined the quality of Summative Tests (ST) created by senior high school teachers in Palembang, Indonesia, specifically focusing on the Islamic Education subject. The evaluation criteria included item validity, reliability, discrimination index, and disruptive effectiveness. The analysis involved 800 answer sheets from 20 teachers. Results indicated that while 20 teachers achieved high reliability, two struggled with poor reliability in terms of disruptive effectiveness. Respondent 11 faced challenges with only 28% valid items and a moderate Cronbach’s Alpha. Additionally, the disruptive effectiveness and discrimination index were poor. These findings suggest a need for teacher training to enhance skills in crafting and administering high-quality summative tests. The implications of these findings extend to improving teacher training and ensuring the effectiveness of summative assessments in gauging student achievements for graduation. The research contributes valuable insights into the complexities of teacher-created exams and offers a basis for enhancing the overall quality of education assessment practices.","PeriodicalId":17767,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Cakrawala Pendidikan","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140476992","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It examined the link between students’ social and psychological health, stress levels, and preferred social support systems. The research subjects were Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University first-year students (n=299) who completed the Perceived Stress Scale and a Likert rating-type scale via a Google form. The validity and reliability of the scale were respectively confirmed through ‘high’ Aiken’s V and Cronbach’s Alpha coefficients. Structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis showed a satisfactory fit for the model. The average relationship (r=0.39) was found between stress levels and preferred social support, while a positive correlation (r=0.29) existed between preferred social support and socio-psychological health. However, the Stress Level variable only correlated with Socio-psychological Health through Preferred Social Support. The subjects preferred the University Staff and Academic advisors as social support providers over their parents. Overall, the findings indicate that higher levels of support were associated with reduced stress and improved socio-psychological health among Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University students. Conversely, lower support levels correlated with increased stress and negative impacts on well-being.","PeriodicalId":17767,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Cakrawala Pendidikan","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140475463","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, CBT has some constraints on being sustainable due to some internal weaknesses and external concerns, including poor marketing competencies. As a top-down government initiative, Malaysian CBT homestay is blessed with numerous assistance to ensure its survival which in the other hand, creates over-reliance toward other parties. This lack of marketing expertise challenges homestay sustainability. This study examines the importance of community education in marketing activities as a lifelong learning towards sustainable tourism in Malaysia. Qualitative case study is employed to gain an extensive and in-depth explanation on homestay’s marketing implementation and its issues. A semi-structured interview was taken to 9 homestay operators. This study employs a thematic data analysis to investigate the interview results. Research findings show that in majority, the community enjoys the comfort zone provided by government and travel agents, hence encourage the resistance for change. However, a few homestay demonstrates positive respond to involve lifelong learning through community education to support sustainable tourism. More importantly, partnership between various key stakeholders are the utmost important to ensure policy planning and to improve community education quality.","PeriodicalId":17767,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Cakrawala Pendidikan","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140477478","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the online learning context, students’ satisfaction is one of the crucial aspects. However, limited research has looked at the factors contributing to students’ satisfaction in developing countries, including Indonesia. This study investigated the determinants of online learning satisfaction among undergraduate students in Indonesia during the pandemic COVID-19. A total of 267 students aged 17-28 years old (M=20.07, SD=1.40) were participated in this study through accidental sampling technique. This study applied a quantitative approach with six instruments: online learning satisfaction, online learning readiness, academic stress, learner-content interaction, learner-learner interaction, and learner-instructor interaction. Multiple regression analysis showed that only online learning readiness and learner-content interaction were contributed significantly to online learning satisfaction (R2 = .36, F (2,262) = 36.80, p .001). Furthermore, learner-content interaction had a more considerable contribution (b=1.41, p.001) to online learning satisfaction than online learning readiness (b=.15, p=.03). The theoretical and practical implications of this study are discussed.","PeriodicalId":17767,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Cakrawala Pendidikan","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140471350","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study was developed based on the qualitative approach through 1) a focus group discussion to examine the engagement learning model in the Civic Education curriculum, 2) a workshop on the development of engagement learning models, 3) expert validation using the engagement learning model instrument, 4) implementation of engagement learning model, and 5) reflections on the engagement learning model implementation. The results of this study show that the Engagement Learning Model can improve social care shown from mutual respect for diversity, social cohesion, sympathy for others, and volunteerism. The researcher used the social value theory to analyze students’ social care. This engagement learning model can develop a social collaboration that promotes the unique characteristics of each student. Students are trained to be critical and socially sensitive through an engagement project consisting of social activities in the community in Civic Education learning. Increasing students' care from Civic Education may positively influence students' knowledge, attitudes, and social relations in their groups and outside their groups, respect and acceptance of diversity, social cohesion that forms cooperation, sympathy for others that form social solidarity, as well as a sense of volunteerism that makes students provide solutions to social problems.","PeriodicalId":17767,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Cakrawala Pendidikan","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140472874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
