Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperkecil ruang pencarian solusi persamaan Diophantine tipe Ramanujan- Nagell x2 = y3 + 2185 dengan x sub himpunan bilangan ganjil anggota G3 dan  G4, dimana G3={x∈bilangan ganjil |x≡1 mod 8} dan G4={x∈bilangan ganjil |x≡7 mod 8}   dengan metode membagi y menjadi 4 kasus, yaitu : FPB(y,8)=1, FPB(y,8)=2, FPB(y,8)=4, FPB(y,8)=8. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk x∈G3 dengan FPB(y,8)=1,  FPB(y,8)=4, FPB(y,8)=8, tidak mempunyai solusi bilangan bulat, sedangkan untuk  FPB(y,8)=2 meskipun belum diperoleh kesimpulan akhir tapi ruang pencarian solusi telah berhasil diperkecil untuk x dan y dengan cara melakukan transformasi x=8b+1, y=4a – 2 , apabila a|b atau b|a, maka persamaan Diophantine x2 = y3 + 2185 hanya mempunyai satu pasang solusi, yaitu : (x,y)=(49,6), dan untuk x∈G4 dengan FPB(y,8)=1, FPB(y,8)=4, FPB(y,8)=8, FPB(y,8)=2 dengan melakukan transformasi x=8q+7, y=4p – 2  untuk p|q  atau q|p tidak mempunyai solusi bilangan bulat. Daerah penghasil tanaman pala di Indonesia yaitu Maluku, Sulawesi Utara, Sumatra Barat, Aceh, Jawa Barat dan Papua. Salah satu kendala dari tanaman pala yaitu pada perkembangbiakannya, karena memiliki masa dormansi dua bulan yang disebabkan oleh kulit biji (tempurung) yang keras serta menyebabkan viabilitas dan vigor benih menjadi menurun. Salah satu cara mematahkan masa dormansi yaitu dengan pemberian larutan kimia golongan asam kuat seperti asam sulfat, berguna melunakkan kulit biji yang keras dan mempermudah proses imbibisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pematahan dormansi berdasarkan uji viabilitas dan vigor benih serta mendapatkan konsentrasi asam sulfat yang paling baik dalam mematahkan dormansi benih pala. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga kali ulangan. Perlakuan asam sulfat dengan empat konsentrasi yaitu H2SO4 0% (kontrol) (H0), H2SO4 10% (H1), H2SO4 20% (H2) dan H2SO4 30% (H3). Parameter yang diamati adalah viabilitas dan vigor benih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aplikasi asam sulfat berpengaruh nyata terhadap viabilitas benih pala dengan nilai Sig < 0,05 dan mencapai 100% pada 56 HST. Hasil perhitungan vigor benih pala untuk indeks vigor mencapai 8,83 dan koefisien vigor 406.300. Asam sulfat konsentrasi 20% adalah konsentrasi yang paling baik untuk mematahkan masa dormansi benih pala pada 60 HST menjadi 14 HST berdasarkan uji viabilitas dan vigor benih.Kata Kunci : Benih pala, Dormansi, Asam sulfat, Viabiltas, Vigor THE TESTING TO BREAK DORMANT USING SULFURIC ACID BASED ON VIABILITY AND VIGOR OF NUTMEG SEED (Myristica fragrans Houtt.) ABSTRACTThe nutmeg plant (Myristica fragrans Houtt.) is known as one of the original spices found in Indonesia that has economical value. The area where the nutmeg grows in Indonesia is in Maluku, North Sulawesi, West Sumatra, Aceh, West Java, and Papua. One of the obstacles found in the nutmeg is its reproduction cycle, because it has a dormant state of two months that is caused by the thick and hard skin (shell) of the seed that causes the viability and vigor of the seed to decrease. One of the ways to break through the dormant state of the seed is to give it a chemical solution that is categorized as a strong acid such as sulfuric acid, which can soften the hard skin of the seed and easen the imbibition process. This research has the objective to figure out how to bypass the dormant state using seed vigor and viability tests and to obtain the purest concentrated sulfuric acid as well as the way to bypass the dormant state of the nutmeg seed. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan menggunakan 24 ekor tikus putih jantan galur wistar (Rattus norvegicus) yang dibagi atas beberapa kelompok dimana kelompok 1 sebagai kelompok kontrol tanpa perlakuan, kelompok 2, 3 dan 4 sebagai kelompok perlakuan dengan dosis secara berturut-turut 3,6 mg/ml; 7,2 mg/ml; dan 14,4 mg/ml. Perlakuan diberikan secara oral sekali sehari sebanyak 1 ml selama 50 hari sesuai siklus spermatogenesis. Variabel yang diamati yakni jumlah sel spermatozoa, berat badan, dan berat testis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol kembang sepatu dapat menurunkan jumlah sel spermatozoa, serta menyebabkan adanya perbedaan berat badan dan berat testis namun, berdasarkan hasil analisis varians, ekstrak etanol daun kembang sepatu tidak dapat menurunkan jumlah sel spermatozoa, berat badan dan berat testis tikus putih jantan galur wistar (Rattus norvegicus) secara signifikan.Kata Kunci: Sel spermatozoa, Kembang sepatu (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L.),                    Tikus jantan Wistar (Rattus novergicus) THE INFLUENCE OF THE ETHANOL EXTRACTS  OF GRANTING HIBISCUS (Hibiscus Rosa-sinensis L.) AGAINST THE NUMBER OF SPERMATOZOA, WEIGHT AND THE WEIGHT OF THE TESTES MALE WISTAR RATS (Rattus norvegicus) ABSTRACTThis research’s objective is to know the influence of injecting ethanol extract from a hibiscus into a number of common male rats (Rattus norvegicus). This research uses the approach of complete randomized design (CRD) onto 24 common white rats (Rattus norvegicus) that is divided into groups, where group 1’s approach is control without treatment, groups 2, 3, and 4’s approach is with treatment, with consecutive doses being 3.6 mg/ml; 7.2 mg/ml; and 14.4 mg/ml.  The treatment is induced orally as large as 1cc per day for a total of 50 days following the spermatogenesis cycle. The variables that are being observed are the amount of spermatozoon cells, body weight, and testicle weight. Kepadatan populasi tertinggi di daerah Air Terjun Tunan Desa Talawaan Minahasa Utara  terdapat pada Transek 2 (8 ekor/km2). Kepadatan populasi terendah terdapat pada Transek 3 (3 ekor/km2).Pada daerah Taman Hutan Raya Gunung Tumpa Manado kepadatan populasi tertinggi terdapat pada Transek 2 (74 ekor/km2).Kepadatan populasi terendah terdapat Transek 3 (14 ekor/km2).Kata kunci :Kepadatan Populasi, Troides helena, Air Terjun Tunan, TAHURA Gunung Tumpa, Sulawesi Utara POPULATION DENSITY OFTroides helenaL. This research aims to analyze the population density of Troides helena on Tunan Waterfall in Talawaan Village, North Minahasa and Forest Park of Mount Tumpa, manado. This study used a survey method in the form of the transect line.This research only in secondary forests  is done on most of its land was made of agricultural land. The highest population density in the area Waterfall North Minahasa Talawaan Village Tunan found on Transect 2 (8 tails/km2). The low population density found in Transect 3 (3 tail/km2). Polisakarida yang digunakan yakni hasil pretreatment dan ekstraksi jerami. Penggunaan cara kimiawi pada proses hidrolisis ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan hasil yang optimum dengan waktu yang singkat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah hidrolisis asam dengan membandingkan dua jenis larutan asam kuat yaitu asam sulfat (H2SO4) dan asam klorida (HCl) dengan konsentrasi masig-masing sebesar 0.5 N. Hidrolisis dilakukan dalam kondisi pada suhu 115 0C selama 60 menit pada tekanan 1 atm. Gula sederhana yang dihasilkan telah diuji dengan uji gula total, dengan hasil bahwa gula pereduksi diketahui dari selisih gula total pada kontrol tanpa perlakuan. Uji gula total dilakukan menggunakan metode Dubois, pengujian ini dilakukan pada hasil optimum dari hidrolisis yaitu asam klorida (HCl). Sampel yang diujikan yaitu, xilan (XI) dan kontrol (-) xilan (k-x). Analisis gula total menghasilkan sebanyak 2.906 mg/L untuk XI, sebanyak 728 mg/L untuk (k-x) dengan hasil bahwa  perolehan gula pereduksi sebesar 2.124 mg/L. Selisih hasil gula total yang diperoleh antara perlakuan dan kontrol mengindikasikan bahwa proses hidrolisis berhasil mendapatkan gula pereduksi.Kata kunci: gula kompleks, hidrolisis asam, gula sederhana, gula pereduksi dan gula total. HYDROLYSIS OF POLYCOXARIDA XYLANE STRAW USING STRONG ACID ACID SOLUTION FOR BASIC MATERIALS OF BIOETANOL PRODUCTION ABSTRACTHydrolysis is the process of breaking polysaccharides (sugar complexes) into simpler polymers, considering the main requirements of the fermentation process for bioethanol production are monomeric or dimeric sugars. The polysaccharides used are the results of pretreatment and extraction of straw. The use of chemical methods in the hydrolysis process aims to obtain optimum results with a short time. The research method used is acid hydrolysis by comparing two types of strong acid solutions namely sulfuric acid (H2SO4) and hydrochloric acid (HCl) with a concentration of each of 0.5 N. Hydrolysis is carried out under conditions at a temperature of 115 0C for 60 minutes at a pressure of 1 atm. The simple sugar produced was tested with a total sugar test, the result of the reducing sugar was known from the total sugar difference in the control without treatment. The total sugar test was carried out using the Dubois method, this test was carried out on the optimum results of hydrolysis, namely hydrochloric acid (HCl). The sample tested were, xylan (XI) and control (-) xylan (k-x). Penelitian dilakukan dengan wawancara pada mahasiswa di PS Fisika FMIPA UNSRAT.  Penelitian dilakukan dengan survei menggunakan metode simple random sampling.    Data tersebut berupa proses pembelajaran dari mata kuliah yang diajarkan di PS Fisika FMIPA UNSRAT pada Semester Genap 2017/2018.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik proses pembelajaran, mata kuliah yang diajarkan pada semester genap 2017/2018 di PS Fisika FMIPA UNSRAT dikelompokkan menjadi 9 cluster. Mata kuliah yang melaksanakan proses pembelajaran dengan baik terdiri dari 21 mata kuliah, yaitu PKN, ISD, PG, PIF, TME, FB, MS, MEKB, PL, MPF, FZP, FN, ML, ADWIG, AL, MPF, PFM, FIS, GEO, GEL dan BING sedangkan mata kuliah yang tidak melaksanakan proses pembelajaran dengan baik, yaitu mata kuliah FM, FISMAT2, ED2 dan DDM. Kata kunci: mutu pelayanan, analisis cluster, mahasiswa, Euclid, dendogram GROUPING OF SUBJECTS IN PHYSICS STUDY PROGRAM, FACULTY OF MATHEMATICS AND NATURAL SCIENCES SAM RATULANGI UNIVERSITY BASED ON THE LEARNING PROCESS USING CLUSTER ANALYSIS ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to classify the subjects taught by lecturers in the Physics Study Program of Sam Ratulangi University based on service quality, namely reliability, responsiveness, confidence, empathy, and direct evidence using cluster analysis.  The study was conducted by interviewing students in the Physics Study Program Sam Ratulangi University using simple random sampling method. The data is in the form of a learning process from courses taught at the Physics Study Program Sam Ratulangi University in the Even Semester 2017/2018. The results showed that the characteristics of the learning process, courses taught in even semester 2017/2018 in Physics Study Program FMIPA UNSRAT were grouped into 9 clusters. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keanekaragaman makrozoobentos yang terdapat di sungai air terjun Tunan, Desa Talawaan, Minahasa Utara, Sulawesi Utara. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada tiga stasiun. Stasiun 1 (Air Terjun Tunan), Stasiun 2 (Pintu masuk wisata), dan Stasiun 3 (Perkebunan). Pengambilan sampel makrozoobentos menggunakan metode purposive random sampling. Pengambilan sampel makrozoobentos di dasar perairan dengan menggunakan jaring surber yang berukuran ukuran 25 cm x 40 cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukan makrozoobentos yang ditemukan di sungai air terjun Tunan terdiri dari 3 filum, 3 kelas, 10 bangsa, 20 suku, dan 23 marga serta 379 individu. Marga makrozoobentos yang sering di jumpai yaitu Hydropsyche dan Suku makrozoobentos yang paling sering dijumpai  yaitu suku Heptageniidae.  Indeks keanekaragaman makrozoobentos tertinggi pada stasiun 1 (2,69), kemudian diikuti oleh stasiun 2 (2,31) dan terendah pada stasiun 3 (1,94).Kata kunci: Air terjun Tunan, Indeks Keanekaragaman, Makrozoobentos  ABUNDANCE  AND DIVERSITY OF MACROZOOBENTOS IN TUNAN WATERFALL RIVER, TALAWAAN, NORTH MINAHASA, NORTH SULAWESI ABSTRACTMacrozoobenthos are aquatic organisms that live at the bottom of the waters with relatively slow movements that are strongly influenced by the basic substrate and the quality of the waters. This study aims to analyze the diversity of macrozoobenthos in the Tunan waterfall river, Talawaan Village, North Minahasa, North Sulawesi. Sampling was carried out at three stations. Station 1 (Tunan Waterfall), Station 2 (tourist entrance), and Station 3 (Plantation). Macrozoobenthos samples were taken using purposive random sampling method. Taking macrozoobenthos samples at the bottom of the water using a surber net measuring 25 cm x 40 cm. The results showed that macrozoobenthos found in the Tunan waterfall river consist of 3 phylum, 3 classes, 10 ordo, 20 familia, and 23 genus and 379 individuals. Macrozoobenthic genus that are often encountered are Hydropsyche and the most common macrozoobenthic classis, the Heptageniidae classis. The highest macrozoobenthos diversity index at station 1 (2.69), followed by station 2 (2.31) and the lowest at station 3 (1.94). Meskipun invasif di daerah beriklim sedang, spesies Caulerpa terutama C. racemosa dan C. lentillifera (lato) dipanen dan dikonsumsi sebagai makanan, terutama di Filipina. Komunitas Caulerpa di Solong-on, Siquijor adalah salah satu sumber untuk ekspor ke kota tetangga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan stok tegakan biomassa saat ini, prosentase dan keragaman Caulerpa di Solong-on, serta untuk menentukan parameter lingkungan yang dapat mempengaruhi kelimpahan dan keragamannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan total delapan spesies Caulerpa diidentifikasi di komunitas Caulerpa dangkal di Solong-on, Siquijor. Biomasa yang memiliki stok tertinggi diperoleh oleh C. cupressoides dengan biomassa rata-rata 26,16 ± 2,44 (SE) g berat kering/m-2, sedangkan C. microphysa memiliki biomassa stok yang berdiri paling sedikit dengan rata-rata 9,16 ± 0,26 g berat kering/m-2. Secara umum, total biomassa stok berdiri untuk semua spesies yang diperoleh selama periode sampling adalah 132,57 ± 2,06 g berat kering/m-2. Indeks keragaman Shannon-Wiener (H ') berkisar dari 1,7-2 yang menunjukkan komunitas Caulerpa yang relatif beragam. Analisis korespondensi kanonik (CCA) mengungkapkan bahwa suhu dan jenis substrat adalah pendorong utama biomassa Caulerpa.Kata Kunci: biomassa, Caulerpa, tutupan, makroalga, parameter fisika-kimia ABSTRACTCaulerpa species growing on shallow to deep waters are considered to be both economically nuisance and important. Although invasive in the temperate regions, Caulerpa species mainly C. racemosa and C. lentillifera (lato) are harvested and consumed as food, especially in the Philippines. Caulerpa communities in Solong-on, Siquijor are one of the sources for export to neighbouring municipalities. This study aimed to determine the present standing stock biomass, percent cover and diversity of Caulerpa in Solong-on, as well as to determine the environmental parameters that may affect its abundance and diversity. The results showed a total of eight species of Caulerpa were identified in the shallow Caulerpa community in Solong-on, Siquijor. The highest standing stock biomass was obtained by C. cupressoides with mean biomass of 26.16±2.44 (SE) g dry wt m-2, whereas C. microphysa has the least standing stock biomass with an average mean of 9.16±0.26 g dry wt m-2. In general, the total standing stock biomass for all species obtained throughout the sampling period was 132.57±2.06 g dry wt m-2. Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H') ranged from 1.7-2 suggesting a relatively diverse Caulerpa community. Investasi adalah kegiatan yang mempunyai dua hasil, yaitu positif (return) dan negatif (risiko). Risiko saham khususnya risiko sistematik merupakan salah satu informasi penting yang dibutuhkan investor dalam melakukan investasi. Risiko sistematik dapat diukur dengan beta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengestimasi nilai beta saham dengan menggunakan model GARCH. Penelitian dilakukan di Universitas Sam Ratulangi dan berlangsung selama 4 bulan sejak November 2017 sampai maret 2018. Data yang digunakan adalah data closing price  harian saham periode 1 Agustus 2016 – 31 Juli 2017. Model GARCH yang dipakai adalah GARCH(1,1) untuk ARNA, GARCH(1, 1) untuk SMSM, dan GARCH(1,4) untuk TOTL. Nilai beta yang diperoleh yaitu untuk ARNA,  untuk SMSM dan  untuk TOTL.Kata Kunci :  Saham, GARCH, Beta. APPLICATION OF GARCH ( GENERALIZED AUTOREGRESSIVE CONDITIONAL HETEROSCEDASTICITY ) MODEL  IN CALCULATING BETA VALUE OF STOCK INDEX PEFINDO25ABSTRACTIn this time many peoples are thinking to make an investation. Investment is an activity that has two results, a positive result (return) and a negative result (risk). Stock risk, especially systematic risk is one of the important information that investors need to know in investing. Systematic risk can be measured with beta. This study aims to estimate the value of beta stock by using GARCH model. This study was conducted at Sam Ratulangi University and lasted for 4 months since November 2017 until March 2018. The data used is the daily closing price on period 1 August 2016 – 31 July 2017. GARCH model used is GARCH (1, 1) for ARNA, GARCH (1, 1) for SMSM, GARCH (1,4) for TOTL.
