The method used in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Tarakan. The research instrument used was the Van Hiele geometric thinking level test and spatial ability test, interview guides and documentation. Prior to use, the test, an interview guide, was first validated. The data analysis technique will be used in 4 stages, namely collecting, reducing, presenting, and concluding all the data obtained. The results of this study are that students with high spatial intelligence (KST) are at the level of informal deductive thinking (level 3) where at this ability students are able to know the relationship between shapes. While students with moderate spatial intelligence (SCC) are at the level of analytical thinking (level 2), namely the ability to know and mention the properties of flat shapes. Students with low spatial intelligence (KSR) are at the level of visualization thinking (level 1). In conclusion, it is important for teachers to know students' abilities in learning geometry by paying attention to the level of geometric thinking, being able to use the Van Hiele Geometry learning model, increasing spatial intelligence and van Hiele levels can be done through training involving geometric media or software (geogebra). \u0000 \u0000Keywords: spatial intelligence, geometry, level of thinking, Van Hiele","PeriodicalId":177009,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika (JUDIKA EDUCATION)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126519745","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sample in this study used a simple random sampling technique. The method used is an experiment using an experimental class and a control class. Data collection techniques use learning outcomes in the form of formative tests conducted at the beginning and end of the study using the t test. So that means the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the working hypothesis (H1) is accepted. The results of the calculations carried out turned out that the learning outcomes of the experimental class using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning method were better than the learning outcomes of the control class so that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, thus the working hypothesis was accepted, meaning that there was an influence of the numbered head cooperative learning method. together (NHT) on the results of learning mathematics for fourth grade students at SDN Muhammadiyah 1 Tangerang City.
