This review presents an understanding of the impact that adiposity has on the function of the immune system. Methodology: Searches were performed in the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrievel System Online database (MEDLINE / Pubmed) using the descriptors Obesity; Immune response; Immune System Diseases and Disturb. Results / Discussion: It was evidenced through this study that obesity is related to several immunological changes at the cellular level. Excess fatty tissue is involved in changes in serum levels of interleukins that work to resolve inflammation, such as IL-33, in addition to an imbalance between type 1 and type 2 cytokines. Obesity was also associated with higher chances of development and therapeutic failure in rheumatic diseases, as well as changes in the concentration of type I Brazilian Journal of health Review Braz. J. Hea. Rev., Curitiba, v. 3, n. 4, p. 10945-10960 jul./aug.. 2020. ISSN 2595-6825 10947 interferon, gamma interferon, leptin and other pro-inflammatory cytokines. In addition, this pathology was associated with response and high viral load in respiratory virus infections. Conclusion: The elevated lipid profile has a considerable impact on the immune system, triggering metabolic and inflammatory disorders. Considered a poor man's disease, it can lead to serious neurological complications and physical disabilities. It is characterized as infectious and is caused by Mycobacterium leprae. To make such a diagnosis in Primary Health Care (PHC), a dermatoneurological examination is performed. However, there is an assistance gap that prevents us from reaching these people more easily. In this context, Community Health Agents (CHA) bridges between the service and the community itself, as they are an integral part of the territory can be important links in breaking diagnostic delays. At the Family Health Unit (USF) Viver Bem, leprosy was diagnosed in a patient assigned to the territory and, since its late diagnosis can cause irreversible complications, it is extremely important to have a different look at skin changes, so that they are screened in the population that lives in this region, thus avoiding underdiagnosis. The present project aims to enable Community Health Agents (CHA) to suspect leprosy cases early. To achieve this goal, dialogued exhibitions and rounds of conversation will be held on the topic with the health team, addressing the possible differential diagnoses (such as ptyriasis) and ratifying the importance of looking at the patient in addition to a disease, thus understanding the person as a whole. A cross-sectional survey was carried out with 656 participants (both sexes) aged 18-85 years. Perceived Stress Scale (EEP-10) and questionnaire were applied, which were distributed through Google Forms on social networks. Data were analyzed on the Excell spreadsheet. It was observed 1) higher levels of EEP-10 in the younger population aged 18-40 years, with EEP-10 being Women> EEP-10 Men in all age groups, 2) Higher levels of EEP-10 were found in the age group 20 -30 years in women and 30-40 years in men. 3) Female population showed greater awareness of stress, ratified by the current scenario overloaded by work, domestic activities, attention to family members, fear of contamination in addition to modern female self-collection in a scenario of socioeconomic uncertainties. 4) Education level influenced adherence to preventive-restrictive measures. 5) There is a need for attention to the male and female population and special attention to the elderly in the face of psychological suffering. An electronic literature search was performed in the MEDLINE (PubMed), ScienceDirect and Web of Science databases in May 2020. The search terms for the target sample were: “selective cervical Brazilian Journal of health Review Braz. J. Hea. Rev., Curitiba, v. 3, n. 4, p. 10418-10431 jul./aug. 2020. ISSN 2595-6825 10420 dorsal rhizotomy”; \"Spastic cerebral palsy\" and \"children\". When necessary, a new search was carried out on the Google Scholar database with the expression “cervical rhizotomy AND cerebral palsy AND spasticity AND children”. There was no temporal cut. Four articles were included in this systematic review. Studies show that infant and adult patients after undergoing selective cervical dorsal rhizotomy have reduced spasticity in the upper limbs, improved function and less difficulty in the development of daily activities by caregivers.This review reveals the scarcity of studies addressing selective cervical dorsal rhizotomy for the treatment of upper limb spasticity in children with cerebral palsy, although there is sufficient evidence for the use of this neurosurgical technique in adolescents and adults.
