Successful outcomes in the treatment of tuberculosis depend on patient compliance with their prescribed medication. The MARS (Medication Adherence Report Scale) questionnaire can be used to assess medication adherence in tuberculosis patients. The researchers in this study set out to see if the MARS questionnaire was sufficiently valid and reliable to be used with tuberculosis (TB) patients in Indonesia. Descriptive quantitative analysis using a cross-sectional design was employed for this study. The MARS survey was the instrument used for this study. Sixty tuberculosis patients from the Lamongan District Health Center met the inclusion criteria and made up the sample size of 70. Sampling with the help of a planned strategy. Apply the Pearson Product Moment correlation test to the questionnaire to see if it is reliable. The Cronbach alpha coefficient was used to determine the questionnaire's reliability in this study. According to the data, the r count correlation value was higher than the r table value of 0.2542. The Cronbach Alpha Coefficient obtained from the reliability analysis was 0.486. The results of the validity and reliability tests indicated that the Indonesian translation of the MARS questionnaire was a valid and reliable tool for gauging the degree to which TB patients took their prescribed medications as directed. Adherence should be measured with a reliable questionnaire or instrument to ensure accurate results.","PeriodicalId":17631,"journal":{"name":"Journal Pharmasci (Journal of Pharmacy and Science)","volume":"162 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140505217","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Modification studies on the use of kombucha-based ingredients with manalagi apple peels have been little reported by other studies. Kombucha fermentation, which produces acetic acid, can inhibit microbial growth in fish meat. The polyphenol and flavonoid content of manage apple peel can be used as antibacterial and antifungal. This study aimed to determine the ability of manalagi apple peel kombucha to inhibit the growth of indigenous bacteria and fungi in fresh dori and catfish. The samples used in this research were Manalagi apple peel kombucha with code KAM14 with a fermentation time of 14 days and KAM21 with a fermentation time of 21 days, which were made in test concentrations of 50%, 75%, and 100% which were tested in duplicate. The samples were then tested in vitro for indigenous microbes in fresh fish meat (Clarias sp. dan Zeus sp.). The results of this study were that the KAM14 sample did not show inhibition ability. In contrast, the KAM21 sample inhibited the growth of indigenous bacteria and fungi in both types of fish. The highest inhibition value of indigenous dori bacteria was at a 100% concentration of 5,35 mm. The highest inhibition value for indigenous dori fungi was also seen at a 100% concentration of 3,9 mm. Ii is usually used to make detergents and antiseptics. However, nowadays there is still a lot of borax added to food ingredients to make food chewier, such as tofu, wet noodles, meatballs, chicken, fresh and salted fish. Purple potatoe (Ipomoea batatas Var. Ayumurasaki) has fairly high anthocyanin content, 5.92-402 mg/25 mg of fresh purple potato. Anthocyanins are compounds that are able to detect the presence of borax in food samples because they can break down borax bonds into borax acid by binding it to a blue color. This study aimed to determine the presence of borax in meatball samples in Banyuwangi district using purple potato extract with the maceration and pressing method, then a comparative test was carried out using the test kit method for valid results. The positive control used was borax with a level of 0.02 mg/2 ml, and the negative control used aquadest. The maceration method produced a significant color change when compared to other method, namely bluish green when interacting with borax. The meatball samples in Banyuwangi sub-district showed that all samples were free from borax, this was indicated by the absence of a color change when interacting with the purple sweet potato or the test kit.","PeriodicalId":17631,"journal":{"name":"Journal Pharmasci (Journal of Pharmacy and Science)","volume":"22 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90256598","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pain is also a warning form of the danger of tissue damage. One of the people who often experience pain is women, especially during menstruation. Based on the American Family Physician, the incidence of dysmenorrhea throughout the world is still very large, the percentage of the dysmenorrhea incidence in the world is on average more than 50% or ranging from 15.8-89.5% of women in each country. Some women who experience dysmenorrhea take analgesic drugs regularly. Nutgrass (Cyperus rotundus) contains a wide variety of secondary metabolites, one of which is flavonoids, has an analgesics effect. This research was aimed to compare the level of refined sugar in the hard candy formulation of the nutgrass. Extraction of flavonoids from Nutgrass can be done by infusion method. The infusion of Nutgrass was processed into candy preparations. This research was conducted by adding a variety of refined sugar. In the first formulation using refined sugar as much as 47 grams and in the second formulation using refined sugar as much as 62 grams. The research results found that the first formula where the sugar content was lower (47 grams) could not crystallize perfectly, while second formula where the sugar content was higher (62 grams) could crystallize well. Hence, it can be said that the higher refined sugar content can make the candy crystallize well.","PeriodicalId":17631,"journal":{"name":"Journal Pharmasci (Journal of Pharmacy and Science)","volume":"PP 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84352662","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Porang tubers contain glucomannan which has many health benefits. Glucomannan is a polysaccharide compound and contains high fiber. People have not been able to consume porang tubers directly because they contain high concentration of calcium oxalate. Soaking porang tubers in lime solution can help lower calcium oxalate levels. In addition to the content of glucomannan and calcium oxalate, proximate levels in porang tubers also need to be analyzed to determine the quality of processed porang tubers. In this study, an analysis of proximate levels in porang tubers was carried out before and after soaking in lime solution. The proximate levels of porang tubers before and after soaking with lime solution did not differ much. Porang tubers that have been dried for 6 days have a lower water content and higher carbohydrate content than tubers that have been dried for 4 days.
