DPMAS uses agent UML, an extension of the UML in Object Oriented domain, as its modeling language. It provides a group of graphs to help designers in modeling multi-agent systems. Many agent specific concepts and denotations are introduced in these graphs. DPMAS suggests a design process that covers requirement specification, task specification, agent specification and deployment description. A tool called AUMP has been developed to aid designers in drawing graphs used in DPMAS. AUMP is the design platform of the well known MAGE 2 agent environments.","PeriodicalId":176212,"journal":{"name":"2010 Third International Conference on Information and Computing","volume":"129 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129173878","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

And the attributes of models may be certain or uncertain, so how to process these two kinds of attributes, and how to compare the similarity between the object problem and models in term of the attributes are the key issues in model selection. To solve the problem, a new method based on fuzzy recognition is introduced in this article. Firstly, object problem and models are processed by using fuzzy theory. Then, a fuzzy similarity algorithm, which combines advantage of improved index method and that of max-min method, is proposed to select the most appropriate model. Finally, an illustrative example is given to demonstrate validity and rationality of the method.","PeriodicalId":176212,"journal":{"name":"2010 Third International Conference on Information and Computing","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123903963","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A physics-based material removing process simulation in computer is approached to analyze and control machining distortion. The actual material removing process is simplified and modeled with equivalent chip of uniform thickness. With a single tool-tooth milling process simulation, the machining loads during material removing process are obtained and applied. Restart-calculation is adopted to complete the whole simulation of machining process. The machining distortion law is analyzed and has a good agreement with the experiment result. The cutting parameters and process optimization schemes are put forward to control the machining distortion of aircraft monolithic component. With the help of computer analysis, lengthy and expensive trial and error experiment process can be avoided.","PeriodicalId":176212,"journal":{"name":"2010 Third International Conference on Information and Computing","volume":"265 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114530486","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They are lacking in expansibility and inconsiderate to reusability and interoperability. So they can not satisfy the simulation training needs of material supply in emergent disaster. Firstly, the simulation entities of material supply in emergent disaster were analyzed. The simulation models were established based on Agent-DEVS. And the distributed interactive simulation was implemented based on HLA. Finally, the simulation test was put forward. The result shows that Agent-DEVS models may suitably describe intelligent and cooperative actions of material supply in emergent disaster. And HLA can enhance the reusability and interoperability of Agent-DEVS models. A palmprint image contains various features with multiple orientations, so only a single orientation in the palmprint can not distinguish a subject well. The 2D Orthogonal Gabor filters with different orientations are employed to extract texture information and a phase-coding scheme is used to represent the palmprint. At the matching stage, Hamming distance is used as a similarity metric. The experimental results of verification on Hong Kong Polytechnic University Palmprint Database show that the proposed approach can operate at a high genuine acceptance rate of 99.3% and a low false acceptance rate of 4×10-5%, which outperforms the state-of-the-art Competitve code, OrdinalCode and Robust Line Orientation Code.","PeriodicalId":176212,"journal":{"name":"2010 Third International Conference on Information and Computing","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126552445","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
