We decided to summarize and explore the results of the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) for the period from 2012 to 2022 in all EU countries - Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. We then compared the 2012 results with the 2022 results for each EU country and identified the three countries with the best percentage performance. Our study identified three countries in the European Union, that saw the most rapid improvement in the CPI score from 2012 to 2022: Greece (+44%), Italy (+33%) and Latvia (+20%). These achievements are interesting and significant in two contexts. Firstly, the overall rating of the EU has increased by only 2% during this period. Secondly, our established in-depth study group (Greece, Italy and Latvia) demonstrated not only a significant percentage increase, but also the persistence of a positive trend. We can identify 3 trend leaders - Greece, Italy and Latvia - both in terms of percentage growth from 2012 to 2022, and in the proportion of years where there were noticeable improvement trends. It is significant that this dynamic was not affected by the overall trend in the EU.","PeriodicalId":176153,"journal":{"name":"Access Journal - Access to Science, Business, Innovation in the digital economy","volume":"50 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139264941","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The losses of the Ukrainian tourism economy during the war significantly exceeded the losses caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The lack of tourist flows to Ukraine, the outflow of investments from the tourism sector, the high level of danger of staying in many regions of the country, the destruction of the tourist infrastructure has become key challenges. In 2022, the revenues of the State Budget of Ukraine from the tourism industry decreased sharply. The incompleteness of the administrative-territorial reform, financial insufficiency, and the unprecedented outflow of human resources with significant losses in the tourism industry actualize the scientific search for reducing the negative consequences of the current crisis. The article aims: Тo substantiate, on the concept level, effective management approaches to the economic, ecological, and social development of sustainable tourism, as one of the directions for the restoration of territorial communities in the post-war period. Methods/Approach: Using economic and statistical methods, the article provides an assessment of the country's domestic economy, which is characterised by a decrease in the volume of real gross domestic product by 11.4% in the first year of the war compared to the previous one, a reduction in real wages, and an increase in unemployment. The use of methods of analysis and synthesis made it possible to assess the damage caused to the regions of Ukraine and to identify trends in the development of territorial communities and the tourism sector. Results: The analysis of statistical reports proves that tourism and hospitality development in 2017-2020 (a pre-crisis period for the named industries) required harmony of interests between tourism business entities and local territorial communities. The hypothesis has been confirmed that sustainable development of tourism will stimulate the post-war recovery and evolution of territorial communities. A cluster-based approach to the initiation of tourism development programs is proposed with congregating territorial communities into four groups depending on the consequences of hostilities and selection of specific focus areas. A \"win-win\" strategy is suggested as a conceptual background for effective management of the territories' restoration and development based on harmonisation of interests between territorial communities and business. Conclusions: The study is relevant from the point of view of solving the problems of financing the social and economic development of territorial communities through the activation of resources and the creation of a more stable and favorable environment for sustainable tourism.","PeriodicalId":176153,"journal":{"name":"Access Journal - Access to Science, Business, Innovation in the digital economy","volume":"5 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139262887","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Under these conditions, the correct management of innovations at different levels and in various forms is one of the key conditions for success at all levels of economic activity. At the same time, various innovation factors exist and operate, and it is possible to single out the corresponding indicators that reflect the level of economic development of the country as a whole and its dynamics. However, to date, there has been a relatively limited amount of research on the characteristics that a country needs to have in order to innovate successfully. In more depth, questions remain about what the key innovation factors of a country are and how they affect its economic development level. Methods/Approach: The object of the study was the relationship between the key innovation factors and the economic development level. The aim of the study was to determine the possible relationship between the relevant innovation indicators and the level of development for high and medium-developed countries. Study approach: As a research methodology, the linear regression approach was used using the ordinary least squares model. Results: As a result, estimates of the relationship between the considered innovation indicators and the level of development were obtained. This makes it possible to single out priority areas and tools for improving innovation activity in order to achieve economic development. Conclusions: The obtained results can serve as a starting point for more detailed studies of various criteria for innovative activity and its implementation. The identified criteria can serve as a practical tool and be used in the process of management and measurement of innovation processes.","PeriodicalId":176153,"journal":{"name":"Access Journal - Access to Science, Business, Innovation in the digital economy","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131102184","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic determined the quantitative values for the economic growth score in order to overcome the existing technological gap with leading countries in technological progress, thus aiming to achieve national goal of mobilizing local national resources. The increasing role of information technology in the modern world objectively determines the necessity of training specialists who are able to improve the efficiency of digitalization process. Therefore, development of professional competences is important for the economic growth of the entire society. This article examines such aspect of a human resource as motivation for success, as an essential component for preparing Latvian specialists in the field of IT technologies. The topicality of the study is determined by the fact that there is still a lack of studies in which the content of the concept of achievement motivation is clearly defined. In this study, the content of the concept of achievement motivation was justified. It was discovered that two aspects of motivation of Latvian residents have not been studied in Latvia properly: motivation for success and fear of failure. This study summarizes the aspects of forming the content for the achievement motivation. The aim of the research was to explore motivation towards achievements of Latvian population. The main result of the study: the content of the concept of achievement motivation was determined. It was discovered that there are no statistically significant relationships between the motivation for achievement, age and gender. Methods applied in this study include methods of statistical data analysis: Cronbach's Alpha coefficient that was identified for measuring the reliability and consistency of indicators; Chi-Square tests (χ2); parametric one-way analysis of variance ANOVA; Pearson correlation coefficient (r-Pearson); Mann-Whitney U - test, Kruskal-Wallis rank-sum H - test.","PeriodicalId":176153,"journal":{"name":"Access Journal - Access to Science, Business, Innovation in the digital economy","volume":"419 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122725702","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
