Today, radar systems are subject to stringent design requirements. This paper deals with analysis and design of an antenna array with a cosecant pattern based on the SIW structure for a FMCW radar system, which uses digital beamforming. The first part of this paper is focused on the basic concepts of antenna systems. Next, the synthesis and design of an antenna array is described. We use a convolutional neural network (CNN) for bright lesions detection and evaluate achieved results using criterion based on proper comparison of each lesion with ground truth images scored by the ophthalmologist. As input data we use original and geometrically transformed retinal images from Messidor database divided into smaller blocks. More specifically the paper takes a look on the decline of accuracy of the famous ResNet architecture trained on “pretty” images of celebrities, when it is used on stills from video sequences from real-life television broadcast. It introduces a number of different quality indicators (connected to the sharpness of image, the expression of subject and image contrast) and describes their effect on the results of the convolutional network. However, the small wavelength of the GNSS carrier signals often prevents a reliable ambiguity resolution. This paper proposes a cascaded RTK positioning with multifrequency linear combinations. The local-entropy-based algorithm has been introduced in literature as an automatic method for signal denoising, however its application has so far been limited to white noise removal. The algorithm's effects on signals corrupted by pink (flicker) and blue noise, reported in this paper, are consistently beneficial for signals with different noise power spectra, proving the algorithm's ability to perform well in various environments. In this paper, we describe a Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) positioning method, that uses both GPS and Galileo measurements with a common reference satellite, estimates a pseudorange multipath error for each satellite to prevent a mapping of multipath errors into the position, and performs a hypothesis testing for ambiguity fixing. The proposed method is tested on the new Multi-Sensor, Multi-GNSS RTK positioning module of ANavS, which includes up to 3 GNSS receivers, an inertial sensor, a barometer and a processor for RTK positioning on a single board. Decision makers in the public sector have been facing budgetary restrictions along with significant market demand for new technologies. The solution could be found in private sector participation. The main aim of such cooperation is the risk and reward principle. Both the public and the private sectors retain their own identity and responsibility while the co-operation is based on clearly defined divisions of tasks and risks.
