It targets a substantial increase in the probability of message delivery at the first transmission attempt. This may be achieved by sending multiple message replicas across a set of transmission opportunities (in time, code, or frequency), which are shared between all the potential MTC devices. For the considered class of access algorithms, we propose the optimal scheme with centralized control that delivers the maximum success probability. This developed approach together with the conventional baseline method (with a single replica) is analyzed in the meta-stable state, and a performance estimate is obtained. Our numerical results - supported by both analysis and simulations - confirm a significant improvement in terms of the probability of immediate message delivery comparing to the conventional transmission, as well as indicate a potential gap with respect to the derived upper bound.","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121918196","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The monotonicity properties of the workload process and the queue-size process in this model are established. In addition, two-sided bounds of the workload process are proved. Moreover, the tightness of the difference of the components of workload process is proved. A key ingredient of the analysis is a modification of the well-known Kiefer-Wolfowitz recursion. The obtained results generalize the results known for classical multiserver system. These results are formulated as stochastic inequalities between the basic queueing processes in the cluster models with ordered predefined governing distributions. The results can be useful for stability analysis.","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126118264","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The similar color and texture of red lesions act as a bottleneck in accurate localization of macula in the fundus image. This paper presents a computer vision algorithm for automated and efficient localization of macula from low contrast and diabetic retinopathy affected fundus images. A statistical based model is used to detect macula in a specified region of fundus image which is designed using the geometric features of optic disc. The performance of the proposed algorithm of macula detection was tested on 200 normal/affected fundus images and results are significant. The computational efficiency and accurate localization of macula makes the proposed method competent enough to be used as a part of an automated screening tool for detection of retinal diseases.","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130101644","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nanonetwork's technologies promises extensive opportunities for creating innovative applications and it is attracts researchers from different fields of science. Healthcare is one of the fields in which nanonetworks promise technological spurt. For the effective functioning of the medical applications of nanonetworks it is necessary to provide high quality of service (QoS) for end-to-end traffic. In this article we analyzed network delay — one of the most important QoS parameters. Maintenance of low delays especially important for real-time medical applications. The article examines the factors that defines requirements to delay for real-time medical applications as well as components of delay at various levels of the network.","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121129874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose an adaptive system suitable for underwater wireless applications in sea water. The output voltage is regulated using the wireless power link, avoiding the need for additional wireless interfaces. Our complete system includes the power driver, coupling coils, rectifier, and two micro-controllers. The regulation is accomplished by digital load modulation, observable at the input by means of current sensing at the power supply. Experimental results demonstrate a class-D driver with a series-series resonant topology working in saline water, delivering power between 1.6 and 2.4W. The regulated voltage is 7.5V with error less than 7.2% in the load range of 30 to 37 Ω and 6 to 10V power supply variation. The switching frequency is adjusted within the range of 7 kHz deviation (−7%).","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"156 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121264407","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There is a growing need for copyright enforcement technologies in these networked multimedia systems. This paper proposes an advanced and modified method to watermark information into a biomedical retinal cover image which aims to provide a robust and adaptive system for medical image protection against authentication and copyright infringement issues in tele-ophthalmological applications. Watermark is embedded in low frequency band using Singular values. Both methods strategically combined increase the level of security of proposed method. In short, a as a new SVD-DWT watermarking algorithm which is robust against various attacks is presented. Performance of the proposed method has been evaluated by assessing the method on metrics MSE (Mean Square Error), PSNR (Peak Signal to Noise Ratio) and NC (Normalized Correlation). Experimental results illustrate the suitability of the algorithm for application in tele-ophthalmology.","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120921118","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But with growth of transmission speed in optical communication line the efficacy of chromatic dispersion to signal grows accordingly. The most promising method of dispersion compensation is the adaptive signal processing in optical area. Methods of synthesis of integrated adaptive filters, which consist of Mach-Zehnder interferometers and ring resonators, are considered in this article. The relationship between a delay-line length of a filter and parameters of channel and line link which allows determining a minimum permissible length of the filter delay-line is established. Comparison of infinite impulse response filter and finite impulse response filter by complexity of implementation is performed.","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"95 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116317031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
