We introduce an advanced Decode-and-Forward (DF) protocol, referred to as Dynamic Selective Decode and Forward (D-SDF), where each relay individually decides the end of its listening phase and the beginning of its cooperation phase based on a predefined selection strategy. We analyse the outage behavior of this protocol under the assumption that each relay sender employs joint network channel coding and each receiver implements joint network channel decoding, and demonstrate that D-SDF outperforms static SDF in a variety of transmission scenarios.","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128041261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Generally, most of the previous work directly analyzes the data through the existing mining approaches, which may cause problems such as redundant computation, high time complexity, and large storage space. Based on this argument, a novel heuristic approach called PASS (Pre-processing based on Small Sample) has been proposed for finding a small sample composed of the most frequent transactions in big data pre-processing. Taking advantage of the cloud computing which can solve the bottleneck of data mining in distributed environment, PASS directly operates on the transaction database and groups all transactions according to different dimensions. By using the Bitmap-Sort, the most frequent transactions can be screened from each transaction set. Finally, the best-transaction-set is obtained through aggregating all the transaction-elects of each transaction set. The experimental results have shown that PASS significantly avoids producing plenty of candidate sets resulting from join operation, accelerates the maximal frequent itemsets mining, economizes the storage space, and improves the utilization rate of resources simultaneously.","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131136654","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Further technological advances in hardware often lead to an increased data consumption. Combining these two factors, we notice that the data rates on the current Internet connections are starting to lag behind. Ultimately, we observe a mismatch between the data transfer rate requirements and the actual throughput availability. In this paper, we utilize direct links between proximate devices to help offload the large amounts of user-originated data from the conventional cellular links. The paper explores the implementation possibilities of this technology on the consumer Android devices, as well as substantiates our application development choices. The proposed approach employs the infrastructure-based connections for coordination, while most data transfers happen over the device-to-device links. This allows the developers to utilize our data offloading platform for other proximate applications.","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131017469","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Today, the LSA regulatory framework is considered to be an important enabler for optimized spectrum sharing between the incumbent and the LSA licensee (e.g., mobile network operator). At any point of time, the frequency bands can be utilized by only a single party, and the spectrum owner has priority in its usage at all times. In this paper, we introduce a mathematical and a system model for the multi-tenant band within the 3GPP LTE cellular network. As the main output of this work, the obtained numerical results for one multi-tenant band are produced. Said band is assumed to be intolerant to traffic delay and our results include the blocking probability as well as the mean downlink TX power of the eNodeB.","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"218 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115525508","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In recent years, the number of time-dependent services and systems only increases with the development of such areas as Internet of Things (IoT), industrial Internet, remote automation and robotics, precise positioning etc. In the paper, these emerging applications are discussed. An alternative way to the traditional centralized synchronization infrastructure is proposed. Compact and low-priced devices equipped with a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver and a reliable internal clock can be installed specifically in the places where they are needed without additional intelligence in the network itself. Thus, distributed synchronization approach brings together the providers of time-critical information and sources of precise timing.","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117200691","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this scheme, transmit antennas which maximize capacity of the system are selected for transmission and then SM is applied by using the selected transmit antennas. The closed-form outage probability of the SM system with TAS is derived in Nakagami-m channels for arbitrary values of m. The asymptotic diversity analysis is also performed to demonstrate the achieved diversity order of the system. It is shown that outage performance of the system improves when fading parameter m and/or number of transmit antennas increase. Our analytical results are validated by Monte Carlo simulations.","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128817371","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The cell selection is very important for digital mobile radio based systems to improve system performance in terms of delay and bit error rate. In this work, we propose an efficient cell selection algorithm for Digital Mobile Radio. In the proposed algorithm, each user selects the base station according to the proposed utility value determined based on both cell load and signal-to-interference-noise ratio. The goal of the proposed algorithm is to balance the distribution of the users among the cells to reduce the waiting time for connection while establishing reliable transmission link. We illustrate the performance results for different scenarios and applications in terms of cell load, signal-to-interference-noise ratio and bit error rate.","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125847296","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The quality of a signal in optical wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) networks must thus be restored with opto-electro-optical (OEO) regeneration in order to reach its destination. As OEO regenerators are costly devices, sparse deployment using routing optimization is the key to reduce the network cost. This paper tackles the problem of impairment aware routing and wavelength assignment with regeneration placement (RWARP), considering capacity constraints, while focusing on minimizing the number of regenerators. We will firstly, extend an Integer Linear Programming (ILP) formulation for the RWARP problem which provides, when feasible, an optimal solution, and secondly, propose an efficient heuristic. Results show that the heuristic provides satisfactory results, optimal for small problems, in a fraction of the ILP execution time.","PeriodicalId":174688,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems and Workshops (ICUMT)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132269037","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
