In this study, we investigate the best classification model for determining the user's interest based on the bio and a collection of tweets. We use the supervised learning-based classification with the lexical features. Two approaches were proposed; they are the classification that was made based on the user's tweet using multilabel classification method and the classification that was made based on specific accounts. From the result of experimental result, it could be concluded that the employment of the classification using specific accounts approach led to better accuracy.","PeriodicalId":173600,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference of Advanced Informatics: Concept, Theory and Application (ICAICTA)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134588950","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the spirit of Tri Dharma, HE is required to give maximum contribution to people's life. Nevertheless, sometimes these operations have impacts on big-funding requirements, so it is common for private HE with minimal funding tofind difficulties in the operation processes. The presence of cloud computing (CC) technology is a solution to support HE operations. The challenges faced by a HE nowadaysto adopt new technology such as CC will be related to the ITreadiness. Thus an eReadiness framework should be used to perform the measurement of IT readiness level, so the adoption process can run well. This paper discusses what enablers dimensions influence CC eReadiness in HE, and the HE eReadiness positions in West of Java. By using the enterprise enabler of IT governance COBIT 5, eReadiness framework will be designed with the goal to measure the readiness level based on maturity assessment model.","PeriodicalId":173600,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference of Advanced Informatics: Concept, Theory and Application (ICAICTA)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130032858","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This method may be regarded as a novel kind of keyword extraction for information retrieval, where these strings are extracted from primary search results. These strings are selected depending on the following conditions: effectiveness, prevalence, and uniqueness. In addition, this method does not use any kind of dictionary, not even a Japanese morphological analyzer. The proposed procedure consists of two parts. The first part is selecting the first candidates, which are all of the keywords in primary search results. The second part is narrowing down the candidates so that the candidates form reasonable cluster of primary search results. Our main concern is whether the selected string is meaningful or understandable for people. We have found that more than 90% of the strings that satisfy the conditions above are meaningful and correct Japanese words.","PeriodicalId":173600,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference of Advanced Informatics: Concept, Theory and Application (ICAICTA)","volume":"273 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133957016","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Besides, universities also need to prepare their students with creativity. It is expected that, engineering students not only have hard skills of their majors, but they also have creative way of thinking to solve complex engineering problems in the future. Therefore engineering schools need to set up their teaching and learning approaches in order to deliver graduates with the needed outcomes and skills. This research proposed a conceptual model of teaching and learning for engineering schools that is called as T-E CLC. The model integrated creative thinking skills, learning community, engagement theory and factors of technology use in teaching and learning for engineering schools. T-E CLC model proposed creative learning community concept to be implemented in engineering schools by regarding four elements and four phases of implementation.","PeriodicalId":173600,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference of Advanced Informatics: Concept, Theory and Application (ICAICTA)","volume":"102 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133717420","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper aims to investigate this technique to classify the responsible agencies of each complaint text of LAPOR, which is our government complaint management system. Since this categorization problem is multilabel one and the latest work using learning to rank for multilabel classification gave promising result, we work on experiment to compare the typical classification solution with our proposed approaches on this multilabel categorization problem. The experiment results show that LamdaMART, which is listvvise approach in learning to rank, is the best algorithm for classifying the primary agency and the secondary agencies for complaint text.","PeriodicalId":173600,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference of Advanced Informatics: Concept, Theory and Application (ICAICTA)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115369541","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Additionally we have studied syllable-based GMM-HMM for Japanese speech recognition. In this paper, we investigate the differences of recognition accuracy using phoneme/syllable-based GMM-HMM and DNN (Deep Neural Network)-HMM. First, we present a comparison of syllable-based and phoneme-based DNN-HMM. Second, we train the tied state left-context dependent syllable DNN-HMM, and compare these three types of modeling method. In the experiment, we obtained a 5% relative gain for WER using left-context syllable DNN-HMM in comparison with a left-context syllable GMM-HMM, and an 11% relative gain for WER using triphone DNN-HMM in comparison with a syllable-based DNN-HMM. Finally, we got results that modeling left-context phoneme has not worked and context independent syllable-based DNN-HMM got the best performance in the experiments, when applied to the ASJ+JNAS corpus, which consists of about 70 hours.","PeriodicalId":173600,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference of Advanced Informatics: Concept, Theory and Application (ICAICTA)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121937696","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unfortunately, many fingerprints are poor in quality, which makes extracting reliable minutiae difficult. There are many factors why this may be the case. There might be too much noise or ghosting on the image, or damages (such as scars or creases) on the fingers itself caused by the person's line of work, such as secretaries who deal with a lot of paper in their job, or people who perform manual labor as their occupation. This research attempts to evaluate the effectiveness of image enhancement by comparing three different algorithms, including the use of power transformation in the frequency domain, smoothing on the spatial domain and contextual filtering using Gabor Filters. The experimental results definitely showed improvements after enhancing poor quality fingerprint images, especially when the image is processed in the frequency domain. Contextual filtering also works well in enhancing images based on data in the local context, but in order for it to be more effective and be able to construct better enhanced fingerprint image results, it should also be accompanied with data in the global context.","PeriodicalId":173600,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference of Advanced Informatics: Concept, Theory and Application (ICAICTA)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126957972","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Gunawan","doi":"10.1109/ICAICTA.2014.7005914","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ICAICTA.2014.7005914","url":null,"abstract":"The virtual trip line (VTL) has been proposed in conjunction with the floating car data method to minimize the potential breach of the probe vehicle privacy. However, a long VTL, as well as a short one, may have unintended consequences; thus, the VTL length should be optimized. This article intends to propose a method to establish the optimum length of the VTL. The optimal length of VTL is determined empirically based on the geo-location data collected by ten units of smart-phones. A custom-made application is designed and installed to these devices to track and record the movement of the probe vehicle. The recorded geolocation data are projected to the road GIS line to establish the projection distances. We demonstrate that the distances are distributed approximately following the normal distribution, from which the critical region of the optimum VTL length for a given significance level is established. Finally, we empirically evaluate the method, and demonstrate that for a given VTL length, the empirical probability of the probe vehicle crossing a VTL is close to the theoretical probability.","PeriodicalId":173600,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference of Advanced Informatics: Concept, Theory and Application (ICAICTA)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133263329","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
