The lack of information they get from them makes them unprepared and unable to manage their menstruation properly. Thus, teenage girls have feelings of fear, anxiety, discomfort which are signs of anxiety. Anxiety can be reduced by providing interventions in the form of adequate reproductive health education to female students before menarche through video media, presentations, discussions and questions and answers. The experimental approach will be used in this study, with a pre-experimental design and a pretest and posttest one group design. Because the study was conducted on variables for which data did not yet exist, it was necessary to modify the process by administering certain treatments to the research subjects, which were then observed/measured. From 38 respondents, before the intervention, it was known that 22 respondents (58%) were known not to be anxious, 4 respondents (11%) experienced mild anxiety, 7 respondents (18%) experienced moderate anxiety, 5 respondents (13%) experienced anxiety severe and there were no respondents with very severe anxiety. Folowing the health education interventin, it was discovered that 25 respondents (66%) did not experience anxiety, 6 respondents (16%) experienced mild anxiety, 4 respondents (11%) experienced moderate anxiety, 3 respondents (8%) experienced severe anxiety and did not There were respondents with very severe levels of anxiety. There is a significant difference in the level of anxiety facing menarche before and after being given reproductive health education to SD Negeri 19 Lahat students.","PeriodicalId":171840,"journal":{"name":"ACTA Medical Health Sciences","volume":"15 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140415783","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Women, after childbirth, require both physical and psychological adaptation. If not treated immediately, then postpartum mothers can experience different anxiety levels. Anxiety in postpartum mothers can harm both mother and baby. Therefore, health workers need to do early detection related to Anxiety. This assessment (Postpartum Specific Anxiety Scale) or PSAS helps health workers assess Anxiety in postpartum mothers starting from the beginning of the puerperium. But, of course, this measuring instrument needs to be analyzed to determine how well this instrument can be used. A Rasch analysis is needed to picture postpartum maternal Anxiety accurately. Rasch analysis is considered to have the advantage of making statistical analysis results more accurate and increasing measurement accuracy. Based on the results of analysis using the Winsteps program, it is known that there are 34 items out of 51 items that meet the item-model accuracy index, with an alpha coefficient of 0.94. The value of the separation item index in this instrument is 3.06. The value of unexplained variance does not exceed 15%, so this instrument is ideal for use. Overall, it can be concluded that the anxiety assessment scale in postpartum mothers, namely PSAS, has good psychometric properties for assessment and research.","PeriodicalId":171840,"journal":{"name":"ACTA Medical Health Sciences","volume":"12 17","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140409907","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The color of hyperpigmentation in melasma varies, generally light brown to black with an irregular shape. Melasma is often found in countries with tropical climates with skin types III-V. This happens because countries with these climates are exposed to more sunlight. To reduce excessive UV exposure to the skin, you can use sunscreen. Optimal use of sunscreen must also be considered in order to reduce the incidence of melasma. This literature review uses four databases (Google scholar, PUBMED, NCBI and PERDOSKI) using the relevant keywords namely \"melasma\" and \"sunscreen\" to find the source of articles published in 2010 to 2022. The search results get 142 articles. in Indonesian and English. After selecting based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, 14 relevant articles were obtained which will be discussed in this literature review. In this literature review, the results show that there is a significant relationship between optimal use of sunscreen for women in countries with tropical climates, especially Asia, and the incidence of melasma. Melasma occurs mostly in women with Fitzpatrick III-V skin types and is susceptible to age 25-60 years. Patients with melasma who used sunscreen optimally by applying it every 2 hours showed a decrease in the degree of severity of melasma compared to those who did not repeat the use of sunscreen.","PeriodicalId":171840,"journal":{"name":"ACTA Medical Health Sciences","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140415276","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Isoniazid (INH) is an anti-tuberculosis drug that, when used excessively can cause an increase in Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) and trigger oxidative stress thereby inducing cell necrosis, especially in the liver. Cinnamon is a plant contains flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, and essential oils that are useful as antioxidants and have the potential to have hepatoprotective effects. This study aims to determine the effect of ethanol extract of cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmanii) and its effective dose as hepatoprotection on aspartate transaminase (AST) levels in isoniazid-induced male rats. This study was a post-test only control group design laboratory experiment with sample of 25 male Wistar rats consisting of five groups: the normal control group was given aquabidest (K1), the positive control was induced with 200mg/kg isoniazid (K2), and three treatment groups were induced with 200mg/kg isoniazid and given cinnamon ethanol extract at a dose of 100, 200, and 400mg/kg for 14 days. At the end of the study AST levels were measured. Data were analyzed using the One-Way Anova test and Tukey's Post Hoc Test. The results showed that the ALT levels of the group given cinnamon at doses of 100, 200 and 400 mg/kg decreased significantly (p<0.05), that are 93,20 ± 8,55, 85,60 ± 8,23, and 71,20 ± 3,56 U/L, respectively. The complete immunization program must still follow the schedule to protect children from immunization-preventable diseases. This study sought strategies, processes, and obstacles in implementing the BIAS program during the COVID-19 pandemic at Batujajar Health Center from December 2020 to January 2021. The study design was a qualitative method by conducting in-depth interviews. The informants were selected through a purposive sampling technique to obtain the information required for the study. The results showed that immunization was only administered in safe zones, and socialization was distributed from the Community Health Centre to schools by WhatsApp (WA) application. The school used WA to deliver the socialization to parents, then recorded the students to immunize, and chose places fulfilling health protocols. The BIAS process during the COVID-19 pandemic was the selection of place, time, and the number of people involved for BIAS with the health protocol, monitoring by the immunization program coordinator through field officers reporting, and evaluations during monthly workshops. Some problems occurring in the BIAS program were there were external obstacles like school’s difficulty applying health protocols during the administration, and some parents’ resistance to children’s immunization, misinformation that it was a vaccine for COVID-19 or the vaccine was expired, children were sick of afraid of the syringe.
