PSML-based devices designed with vertical-mode and planar-mode electrodes were fabricated to serve as chemical sensors that applied optoelectronic properties of devices for use of the sensing parameters. Under different biasing configurations, the developed devices responding to specific chemical agents exhibited distinct photoresponse characteristics, corresponding to the refractive index of an individual chemical agent. The proposed PSML-based devices are promising for development of optoelectronically multi-parametric chemical sensors.","PeriodicalId":170124,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Applied System Innovation (ICASI)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121501006","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes a hierarchical yaw stability controller with direct torque distribution. Using the sliding mode control method, the upper controller outputs a desired yaw moment. Then, taking advantage of multiple in-wheel motors, four distributed torque commands are cooperatively adjusted and given out by the lower controller. Additionally, a dynamic torque limiter is designed to restrain unintended acceleration. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness in improving the vehicle stability and handling performance.","PeriodicalId":170124,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Applied System Innovation (ICASI)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128744193","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Because it is limited by the environment and the lighting, the cost can be still high for a person to own a combination of high-lumen projectors and a Multi-projector Seamless Display System. In this paper, we want to pay attention to the visual effect part of Augmented Reality (AR) applications and imitate 3D projection mapping by using the technologies of augmented reality and shader effects. We present an AR framework that uses the shading control technique to make AR scene as realistically as 3D projection mapping as possible. This framework offers people a more convenient way of accessing 3D projection mapping experiences on their mobile devices. The prototypes based on these techniques show the advantages and disadvantages of the technologies while superimposing virtual objects onto a real picture.","PeriodicalId":170124,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Applied System Innovation (ICASI)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116810441","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Manually managing the revenue and the members of casinos are considered insufficient but the costs and the maintenance for large-scale systems are abundant that lots of small and medium casinos still adopt manual management. Nonetheless, the increasing number of casinos has enhanced the fierce competition among casinos; and, gaming industry, which used to make money easily, now can make profits merely by effective management. The importance of casino management systems is therefore largely enhanced. Technologically, the introduction of cloud computing could solve the problems of acquiring the same services without investing enormous costs and merely focusing on system management but having system management companies assist in the maintenance. Furthermore, applying QR codes to ID authentication could solve many problems for casinos. Traditionally, the members could accumulate the reward points for free coupons of meals, accommodation, and gifts with the membership cards. Now, the members could have QR codes as the temporary ID authentication, instead of membership cards, that casinos could save the cost for making membership cards. The analysis of casinos achieved the business intelligence through cloud computing allows small and medium casinos to present more efficient management and better competitiveness, as such casinos cannot provide comparative equipment as large-scale tourism casinos can customize services becoming stronger. However, understanding the preference of members and timely offering customized services are the best effectiveness of business intelligence analysis.","PeriodicalId":170124,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Applied System Innovation (ICASI)","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134055165","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Adopting a uniform linear array (ULA) based photo-detector, the angle of irradiance and incidence of W-LEDs and photo-detector can be estimated by super-resolution techniques. Through Lambertian model, the corresponding distances can also be calculated. By forming geometric circles, 3-D target location can be determined via non-linear optimization of least-square (LS) criterion. To evaluate the efficacy of the proposed algorithm, MATLAB simulation is conducted for a space of 5m × 5m × 3m with three W-LED sources and one photo-detector device. The simulation result showed less than 10cm location inaccuracy which is a 2.5 fold improvement compared to other 3-D indoor positioning schemes recently presented in the literature.","PeriodicalId":170124,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Applied System Innovation (ICASI)","volume":"335 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133698149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
